The Return of Demolishor
Airdate: 7/3/04
Kicker recaps the previous episode very vaguely and explains that they’ve docked near an unknown planet. Psychic hairflash and Kicker announces that there’s energon on the planet. Prime wants to harvest the energon, but Kicker doesn’t think it’s a good idea.
Megatron awakens Demolishor in his new (Energon toyline-accurate) body, tells him he’s much more powerful, and then promptly frets about Scorponok and his whereabouts. Tidal Wave informs Megatron that the Autobots have found energon on a new planet. Considering they’re in another galaxy, in the middle of uncharted space, the Decepticons must have some amazing surveillance.
The planet the Autobots have decided to harvest energon from appears to be Hoth and Inferno pilots the ship right between two glaciers and gets everyone stuck. Lucky they got stuck on an ice planet since it gives Snow Cat (who apparently enjoys yodeling often) a chance to attack in his element.
Alpha-Q reveals a new army of Terrorcons to Scorponok (with no explanation as to why he’s there). Demolishor shows up on the ice planet with Snow Cat and is either on uppers or in a manic peak. They surprise the Autobots and Demolishor shows off his incredible new firepower after wounding Jetfire. Tidal Wave and Megatron attack Prime in the ship and for the first time, we see Megatron using his little tank attachment on his arm.
Inferno manages to free the ship and Prime sets out to round up the other Autobots. Suddenly, metallic eggs (the same seen in Alpha-Q’s lair) rain from the sky and confound Autobot and Decepticon alike. Jetfire turns into a bitch and gets downright rude with Ironhide and Kicker, superlinks with Ironhide, and starts heading back towards the ship.
Snow Cat and Demolishor find that all those eggs have hatched and a horde of new Terrorcons, Cruellocks, are on the loose. The Autobots see them too and Jetfire makes an amusing comment about dinobots and how he thought they were extinct. Misha activates the energon shield on the ship and helps provide cover for Jetfire and Kicker to escape. Prime and powerlinked Inferno and Hot Shot come out to cover Jetfire and Ironhide and recall the Omnicons from the mines.
The Decepticons crush the remaining Terrorcons and claim the energon for themselves as the Autobots escape to search for Unicron. Things aren’t really cleared up for us when the Autobots find out that Unicron has been split in two, since we already knew that Megatron had taken part of Unicron to make his mobile fortress and that Alpha-Q was residing in the remaining half. The confusing bit is that somehow, despite being imprisoned in Unicron for who knows how long, escaping from it and Alpha-Q’s clutches, and knowing that Alpha-Q was in the original wreck of Unicron’s body, Megatron still doesn’t know where Alpha-Q is exactly.
