Each One Fights...
Airdate: 9/4/04
An apparently tamer Shockblast warns Megatron about Unicron’s hunger. Megatron responds by telling him he’s going to feed Cybertron to Unicron. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but then none of the plot twists lately in the series has been very logical. Shockblast is put in charge of the mission and he assembles a team out of the Decepticons.
Kicker attempts to awaken Alpha-Q to aid them in protecting Cybertron, but is unable to wake him up or get any help doing so. The other Autobots detect Megatron’s half of Unicron moving towards Cybertron. The energon grid goes up again, a mobile fortress breaks off of Unicron, and Wing Dagger shows up again ranting about Shockblast.
Inside the mobile fortress, Shockblast berates his troops and lays down some G1 Megatron style plans for attacking Cybertron. As an energon blast heads towards the mobile fortress, a blast of green energy is fired from a mysterious source and repels the energon blast.
We’re then treated to the longest series of Autobot transformation sequences seen up to this point. Every single Autobot goes through their transformation sequence. It’s like a minute of a Robots in Disguise episode. The Decepticons argue amongst themselves in preparation for the battle.
Alpha-Q comes to consciousness as Misha approaches and frightens her with his new Insecticons. Kicker arrives just in time and is about to slice up the Insecticons with the energon saber when Misha tells him she can handle it. Alpha-Q does listen to her for reasons unknown.
Back on Cybertron, the Decepticons break through a section of the energon grid and begin attacking the energon towers. The Autobots arrive and fight back, causing Shockblast to desert.
Misha sneaks past Scorponok and tries to communicate through him using the power of hugging. This seems to work and confuses Kicker. The scene swiftly changes to the conflict on Cybertron and then back to Misha hugging Alpha-Q. Misha has a bunch of flashbacks to her childhood while she tries to convince Alpha-Q to help them, when just two episodes ago he was all for helping out and getting assistance but is now a cringing coward for no reason at all.
Wing Dagger pursues the renegade Shockblast, Alpha-Q claims Kicker is no longer innocent, and Megatron arrives on Cybertron to punish his troops instead of their commander. Misha finally gets through to Alpha-Q and he agrees that Megatron must be destroyed. Wing Dagger continues his hold on Shockblast until he’s pinned uner a falling energon tower with Tidal Wave. The Decepticon is severely damaged, Shockblast suddenly decides to take charge as he’s being deserted, and Wing Dagger is apparently dead.
