the year that he joined the Autobots in the cartoon.

Cartoon Bio: Blaster joined
the Autobots on Earth some time in the year 1985. It is not known if he was
with the Autobots on the Ark when they originally crashed on Cybertron, or if
he just went to Earth from Cybertron in 1985.
While
on Earth, he quickly adapted to Earth's music and he and Jazz used to love dancing
to it, especially hip hop. A lot of Blaster's fellow Autobots were very irritated
with his music, even Optimus Prime was known to complain. Blaster continued
to fight with the Autobots for the next 20 years. During those 20 years, four
cassetobots were built for him, known as Steeljaw, Ramhorn, Eject and Rewind.
Blaster was at Autobot city during the horrible massacre that was put on by
Megatron and the Decepticons in 2005. He was the Autobot that sent the message
to Optimus Prime on Moon Base #1. If Blaster didn't get that message sent, Optimus
would never have known about the attack on Autobot City, and the Autobots would
most likely have been slaughtered. After the huge battle with Unicron, Blaster
was put in charge of Autobot City and Metroplex. He was at Autobot City, when
Trypticon made his first attack, and was the one who pulled the switch to transform
Metroplex. Blaster remained with the Autobots for the next little while. When
the world was hit by the hate plague, Blaster was one of the last to be infected.
He went with Optimus Prime to Charr to try and get the heat resistant alloy
back, but Blaster was infected during the mission. Blaster was healed when Optimus
opened the Matrix and cured everyone, but Blaster was never seen again.
