Personal Profile: Shockwave was powerful, logical and intelligent. This was a deadly combination for his enemies. He could transform into a giant futuristic gun that could be held by a transformer the size of a gestalt. He always analyzed the situations he was in and made decisions based on what the most logical thing to do would be. He spoke with a calm tone and it was clear that he had brains to go with his brawn.

Cartoon Bio:Shockwave's origin is unknown, but he was around during Cybertron's Golden Age when the Decepticons first started the war. He was one of Megatron's higher ranking officers, and was put in charge of Cybertron when Megatron and the other Decepticons followed the Autobots to Earth and remained there for four million years. He played a key role in the construction of the Spacebridge on Cybertron. He had several Seeker Decepticons working for him along with some drones on Cybertron. He was completely loyal to Megatron and always followed his orders. He had a dislike for Starscream, because he knew that the Air Commander had it in for Megatron. Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave were the only Decepticons that out ranked Shockwave. Shockwave played the role of guardian for the Space Bridge, but didn't do a very good job of it because most Autobots and humans could get passed him, including the likes of Bumblebee, Chip Chase and Spike Witwicky. He had imprisoned the Dinobots in a Cybertronium mine when they had attempted to use the Spacebridge, but they were freed by Spike and Carly. He had problems with the female Autobots living on Cybertron, who stole energon cubes from him regularly. He was eventually able to capture Elita-1, the leader of the female Autobots with the help of Starscream, Astrotrain, Ramjet and Rumble, but Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Powerglide and Inferno rescued Elita-1. When the Combaticons attacked Cybertron, Shockwave was forced to join forces with Starscream to stop them. The two Decepticons weren't successful but Optimus Prime, Megatron and several other Transformers eventually stopped the Combaticons. Shockwave remained on Cybertron until 2005 when the Decepticons managed to take complete control of the planet. Shockwave was present in the early stages of the Great Battle at Autobot City in 2005, but was believed to have left early. He was present at Starscream's Coronation as leader of the Decepticons and witnessed his death at the hands of Galvatron. Shockwave lead the Decepticons against Unicron when he attacked Cybertron and it is assumed that he was killed in the battle against the Chaos Bringer, although there is no substantial evidence that can prove his death. However, he was never seen again after the battle with Unicron.
