Personal Profile: Soundwave has been around since the beginning of the Transformers saga.  His alt mode is a cassette player and is able to store smaller Decepticons called Casseticons inside of him.  He is one of the most loyal Decepticons to his leader Megatron.  His Casseticons are also very loyal to their leader.  He is a great fighter and is respected by all his fellow Decepticons for it.  It is known that some Decepticons don't like Soundwave, but they would never say that to his face.

Cartoon Bio: Soundwave started out on Cybertron.  His alt mode resembled something that looked like a lamp post.  He used to stay transformed outside of Iacon City to spy on the Autobot's high command.  He was with Megatron and the others when they attacked the Autobots on their shuttle and he was knocked unconscience when the Ark crashed on Earth.  He remained off-line with the rest of the Autobots and Decepticons until 1984. When the Decepticons were awakened, Soundwave was recognized as third in command under Megatron and Starscream.  He had his Casseticons Rumble, Lazerbeak, Frenzy, Ravage and Buzzsaw.  They were all very loyal to Soundwave.  Soundwave was the Deceptions communications expert.  And the Casseticons were in charge of gathering information. Soundwave was a very valuable asset to the Decepticon cause.  He was almost always successful in all of his missions and also was the smartest of the Decepticons; even smarter, in some ways, than Megatron himself.  Soundwave stayed loyal to the Decepticon cause throughout the Decepticons stay on Earth, even when some of his fellow Decepticons had tried to usurp command from Megatron.  Soundwave was with the Deceptions when they conquered Cybertron. In 2005, Soundwave was with the group of Decepticons that attacked Autobot City.  The Decepticons wouldn't have even had a chance to make the sneak attack without the help of Soundwave and Lazerbeak, who spied on the Autobots and found out about the shuttle heading to Earth.  During the attack, Soundwave was faced with the task of stopping the Autobots from sending a message to the Autobot moon bases.  Soundwave sent Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage and Ratbat, a new cassetticon, to stop the signal, but it was too late and Prime was already on his way. After the battle, Megatron had been damaged heavily.  Starscream wanted to leave him behind, but Soundwave wasn't going to betray his leader, and helped him to the escape shuttle, which was Astrotrain.  During the Decepticon's trip to Cybertron, Astrotrain said that there was too much weight.  Soundwave was one of the Deceptions that agreed on dumping the weaker Decepticons outside of Astrotrain.  Soundwave must have not realized that Starscream was going to dump Megatron though. After Megatron had been thrown out, Starscream wanted to take leadership of the Decepticons.  Soundwave and the Constructicons both objected and said they wanted to lead.  A fight broke out between Soundwave and his Casseticons, the Constructicons, and Starscream and his followers, which are believed to be the Seekers and the Triple-changers.  Starscream ended up winning, but his leadership was short lived when Galvatron came and destroyed him. Soundwave was at first happy to have Galvatron as leader.  He didn't know that he was going to fall down in the Decepticon ranks though.  Cyclonus and Scourge became second and third in command of the Decepticons under Galvatron.  Soundwave was reduced to a regular warrior after all his loyal service to Megatron.  Soundwave made no major appearances after Galvatron took command.  None of the Casseticons made major appearances except for Ratbat.

"Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Ratbat eject, operation interference."

"Soundwave superior, Constructicons inferior."
