I just spat Pepsi Twist all over the place. I was curious as to what "Revoltech" was, and I'm sorry I found out...

I just spat Pepsi Twist all over the place

Is that because of the grand quality of Pepsi Twist, or the humerous images?

I'm sure not sorry I found out what Revoltech is - 't'as put a smile on my face...

:D

What's so funny about it?

Well, it's more than a little reminiscient of Pat Lee's DW Vol. 2 art.

And, really, isn't that enough?

Oh yes.

Of all artists' rendition of Prime...

revoltech as in revolting technology

You think you're the only ones who thought that? :D

(Plus it's supposed to mean 'revolver joint technology', but I guess we can blame this one for engrish?)

I got nearly all Revoltech Evangelions, and they do offer a whole lot of poseability, and look nice...until you try to make them stand upright.

Not to mention his pitiful amount of accessories! The evas came with six extra hands and a ton of weapons plus umbilical cable, and Prime gets what, three hands, blaster and the matrix?

MP Convoy is the best Prime toy out there. It's bigger, it has die cast, it transforms, it's not based on a crappy Pat Lee design, it has better accessories...I bet it has better articulation too. To be honest, I think even THS-02 or the classics Prime from the Prime vs. Megs 2-pack fares better than this one. And even THOSE transform.

I think this Revoltech figure is just an excersize in futility. There simply is no real reason to get this...unless you really, really, really love Pat Lee's design. Because Revoltechs tend to cost like 25 euros, and you can get a Deluxe-sized Transformer for that kinda money...twice as much and you'll get the aforementioned THS-02.

I want to believe you're including the shipping charge in the 25 euros figure...revoltechs cost 1900 yen, about 12 euros.

All in all, it's a pretty sweet figure that's affordable to the general public. I'm sure no-one will argue that MP-04 is the ultimate Convoy collectable [though not the best figure], but 18000 yen is a bit too much.

And I think this is the first Magnus figure that's a straight repaint of Convoy, yet I like more than the red leader.

Has there been any word as to the size/height (in cms) of this Revoltech Convoy? I think it looks pretty cool, but if it is relatively small then I might just stick with my THS-02 Convoy, coz that thing is da bomb. (In robot mode at least).

If it's anything like the other revoltechs, it should be about 12-14 cms. They're a bit tiny when you see them in person...
