This portion of the character profiles index is incomplete. Fix this! I have important kitbash research to conduct!

If you mean the comics profiles, what you see is what there was.

Almost all of the techspecs are available though --

It's at the bottom of this page (http://tfarchive.com/comics/misc/universe/) - you'll notice that entries for issues #50 through #55 are missing. You mean to say those issues didn't have any profiles? Egads!

No profiles.

Now I'm sad.

EDIT: Wasn't there a book published a few years back with a comprehensive character profile catalogue? Scrounging through the comic section yielded no fruitful results to my query. :(

This?

It's not very comprehensive when you take into account the lack of show/comic specific characters, focus on American characters, etc. Many people do consider it one of the best things to come out of Dreamwave, though.

For original era US/European toys, the tech specs are the most comprehensive profile material.

Reportedly, Marvel did 'make' profiles for the rest of the 87/88 characters (pretty simple, seeing as they were basically tidied up character model sheets with expanded tech spec write-ups [or possibly non-condensed ones; I neither know nor care which way round it was done]), as a second series of TFU was planned... The second round only came out to fill out the comic to 22 pages of 'story' (though they'd do their best to at least pick relevant ones much of the time, e.g. the Seacon, and if Bob and Simon could be bothered to write full-length stories we wouldn't have seen them at all :)

Sadly, I doubt we'll ever see the unpublished Marvel ones (presuming they still exist) as MTMTE was apparently miles better because it used Adobe Photoshop and had everyone crouching.

IIRC there were profiles for some of the Micromaster teams in Marvel UK 1989(?) annual.

Yeh... not sure whether they were shortened universe profiles or what. I'll have to scan those sometime for this place...

THAT IS TOTALLY IT! WHY DIDN'T I CLICK ON THAT EARLIER!

Er, yeah, that's what I was thinking of. I should hunt a set of those down at some point. In the meantime I'll just use the old toy tech specs. :o

Thank you, people :)

Layout clearer now?

Yes.

CTRL+F for 'profiles' gives results now :)
