Long haul transport duty didn't provide much in the way of excitement, but the pay was good. That suited Roadhammer just fine; he had never been much for excitement. He just wanted a safe gig that would keep him supplied with energon, and dragging rebuilding supplies from Iacon out into the smaller Autobot cities did just that.

The company could be better, though...

Autobot Security had been fairly adamant that the convoy wasn't going to cross the Tygun Span unprotected, what with it being a vast, unoccupied wasteland and their cargo being highly valuable and highly dangerous military equipment. The half-dozen ISS officers escorting them weren't the problem, though. The problem was the other transport driver.

"I hope we get some sort of action along the way," Jackknife said, as if on cue. "This run has been boring as the Pit so far."

"You said that ten minutes ago," Roadhammer reminded him. "And you'd better pray we don't get any action, considering what's inside that trailer of yours. If we do, we'll be running for cover while the soldiers do all the fighting."

Roadhammer considered replying, but decided it was better to just let the conversation die. He drove on for a while, eventually passing a sign that said:

(OOC: They're all ready for a Mafia hijacking, methinks. ;))

2007-08-31, 12:04 AM
Runaround had been straining his engine the entire trip for the cross-planet journey, but it was the mission rather than fatigue that caused him to let up. He wanted badly to shut off his headlights and just ram one of the transports before they knew he was there, but he knew he needed to assess the situation first. He cruised a half-mile behind the convoy, taking in the numbers and struggling to restrain his malicious intents.

2007-09-01, 12:48 AM
Quickshot roared along, keeping up with Runaround but hanging back a little.

Holdup, not being built for speed, was doing his best to keep up with the group.

2007-09-01, 01:35 AM
Doubledealer sat in vehicle mode a short distance from the route, checkiing his warhead systems. His instructions had been quite clear.
Keep the cargo intact, everything else can be destroyed

Krok had some reservations at attacking autobots, but they'd been quashed given how much money the mercenary had been offered. Skar was shadowing the convoy, feeding back coordinates, his aim needed to be precise.

Lying next to him, and dwarfing him a little, Bruticus looked carefully throught the sights of his blaster. When Doubledealer heard they'd be working together, he was mildly surprised, he'd never expected to see the combiner after he'd capturde the group for Bugbite, even more so by the fact that they didn't hold a grudge.

But most surprising of all was they had remained combined, never breaking back down into five combaticons.

Still, it was not the time to ask, he was an ally for the moment. Maintaining silence, they waited for the convoy.

2007-09-02, 04:17 AM
"Who's that?"

Jackknife's voice distracted Roadhammer from his sightseeing. Not that there was much to see; ruins all looked pretty much the same.

"Who's who?"

"There's someone behind us. He roared up, slowed down and he's following us."

"Probably because we're taking up the whole blazing road." Roadhammer jerked his nose toward the left, closing up the convoy's formation a bit. "Stop being so paranoid."

Turnpike and Pinstripe waited along the road a dozen hic away, waiting for the Autobot convoy to arrive.

2007-09-02, 10:06 PM
With Roadhammer making way for him, Runaround saw his opportunity set. His engine wailed to get him past the convoy, just far enough that he'd have a few moments' advantage. Not thinking of his safety, Runaround transformed in the middle of the highway, skidding to a stop and waving pleadingly back at Roadhammer and Jacknife. He'd try the subtle approach, but his shoulder cannons were charging in case he needed them.

Behind the convoy, Boomstick sat immobile in gun mode atop Quickshot's roof.

"Get ready to move in," he muttered when he saw Runaround's move through his scope. "Soon as you see one of 'em swerve."

2007-09-03, 12:41 AM
Tygun Span Airspace

Loop flew over high overhead laden with his cargo, mimicking the movments and flightplan of a commercial cargo flight as his sensors scanned the wasteland for the target.

"hehehehehe looks like we got ourselves the begining of a party." He chortled.

2007-09-03, 01:48 AM
Skar relayed the scene below to Doubledealer, who calmly analyzed the situation before talking to Bruticus.

'Looks like another group is after the cargo. If things get too bad the cargo might be at risk.'

'We cannot risk the cargo,' Bruticus nodded, looking through his sights at the situation. It did not look well. The one infront was charging his cannons even as he waited for the convoy.

'Reccomendation: I'll launch an EM warhead and provide cover, while you grab the cargo. The warhead will scramble their circuits for several minutes,' Both members knew Bruticus was strong enough to lift the targetted crate.

'Very well,' Burticus began to inch forward. Doubledealer recalled Skar to a safe distance while his internal systems reconfigured the warhead. Finally Doublerdealer programmed the dead man switch, any shot to the warhead would set it off. His launch gantry raised the missile and fired. It shot straight up and would briefly enter orbit before coming down again.

Doubledealer slowly began to drive forward, careful to avoid being seen with the missle.

'Time to impact, 5 minutes.'

2007-09-03, 05:11 AM
Roadhammer slammed on his brakes, skidded and came to a stop a few feet away from Runaround. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Jackknife, for his part, swerved around the unfamiliar Transformer and kept going. The ISS security escort broke up, three of them following him and the other three transforming to robot mode and moving toward the stranger.

Squad Leader Clampdown strode forward with a challenging expression on his face and waved away Roadhammer's question. "Never mind that! Who are you and what the Pit are you doing out here?"

Behind him, Stockade and Checkpoint stood immovably, the former openly brandishing his photon rifle while the latter glanced around for any other security breaches. It didn't take him long to find it.

"Shuttle!" he bellowed, pointing up at Loop's vehicle moving high overhead.

(OOC: For the sake of having a visual reference point, all six of the security team members are redecos of G1 Red Alert in different police department colour schemes. Roadhammer is a redeco of Laser Rod Prime's cab, and Jackknife is a redeco of Clench, both coloured in white and black. Just so you know who you're shooting at. :))

2007-09-03, 07:56 PM
Boomstick grumbled from Quickshot's roof as his scope revealed only one truck had stopped.

"Blow past that guy, catch up with the other one."

Ahead, Runaround looked between Roadhammer and the security team with pleading optics. He was a respectable actor, although his enthusiasm often got the best of him. He struggled to stay in character.

"Listen," he added some rasp to his voice. "The Sprion bridge is out! Finally collapsed after all these orns. I'm a local, saw yous guys drivin' by, an' I didn't wanna see anybody go into the gorge. You gotta tell your buddy to stop!"

2007-09-03, 09:17 PM
Loop banked away from the road and headed towards Sprion Gorge which was out of sight of both forces.

"Ok gang the plan is simple Frag and Kludge , I'm going to drop you off at the Spiron Bridge, I want you to blow the span and then take up Ambush positions. Gnarl i'm going to drop you off behind them and act cargo with a tarp over me. That way they're boxed in. Those Autobots don't look to have much off road capacity between them."

Loop settled on the ground and dropped off his two gang mates before flying off with Gnarl to take up there position behind the convoy.

Kludge looked at the battered span. "So where do we start ?"

Frag eyed the cables

"give it a hard stare Klu and it'll probably collapse."

Kludge cast his expert eye over the bridge.

"Quints sure didn't waste any credits on high way maintenance."

Frag nodded

"I 'd say a couple of small cutting charges on the main support cables and then a sharp nudge with our Dozer blades and it's bye bye bridge."

Loop flew in a loop away from the road and rejoined it behind the convoy.

2007-09-04, 08:11 AM
Doubledealer's sensors pinged.

'There's a jet coming up to the convoy from behind,' he radioed Bruticus, who lay a distance in front of him.

'I see it,' he calmly responded, 'it could intercept the missile before it gets within range.'

'If it starts to rise, shoot it, there's only 2 minutes before impact, they'll be able to see and here it any moment.'

'If any of them raises their optics, i'll place a shot right though them.' Both of them knew that even Bruticus' incredible sniping skills couldn't garruntee a lethal shot at this distance, but he was still gonna come pretty close at least.

Doubledealer drove up to a small projection, and with Krok transformed into robot mode. His CPU linked with with Skar, who was still flying near to the transformers on the road. Though not as effective as Bruticus, the closer view would drastcially improve his aim, even if he had to move closer.

2007-09-04, 05:12 PM
Quickshot's engine screamed as he roared forward, zomming past the stopped truck, catching up to and passing the second, slamming on the brakes and slewing around, a small modified F1 racer facing down the lumbering, approaching rig.

Holdup, sensing that if he doesn't catch up he'll miss all the fun, strains to catch up, approaching the stopped truck at full speed.

2007-09-05, 04:30 AM
(OOC @ Mechafox: Doubledealer's partner is Knok. Krok is an Actionmaster. :))

"What? Really?" Roadhammer had absolutely no reason to doubt Runaround's words, and he accepted them at face value...until Quickshot blasted past him like a mech gone mad. He'd seen this scene played out too many times to fall for it. "Ah, Pit! Hijackers!"

For his part, Clampdown was springing into action almost before the speedy mobster had passed him. He swung the butt of his rifle in an uppercut at Runaround's jaw, trying to drop the smaller Transformer with as little fuss as possible.

Stockade growled as Holdup rumbled past with all the subtle grace of a freight train, flipped down his rocket launcher and fired at the thug's back.

Checkpoint caught sight of the missile that Doubledealer had launched. Assuming it was part of the plan they were already trying to foil, he quickly spun and fired his shoulder rocket in the direction of the still-distant projectile.

"I kinda got that, yeah," Jackknife shot back at Roadhammer, up the road a ways. He saw Quickshot spin into his lane but made absolutely no attempt to stop, slow down or generally do anything that would keep him from driving over the gangster.

The second rig's escort began to reconfigure. Dice took the lead, accelerating and trying to ram Quickshot before he could collide with the thick-headed trucker. Kingbolt and Quasar dropped back, trying to block off Holdup's approach.

2007-09-05, 06:14 AM
Sprion Gorge

Kludge and Frag transformed and looked down a the remains of the bridge where it rested in the gorge.

Frag looked over at Kludge

"no one's getting over there in a hurry."

Loop touched down on the highway and released Gnarl. He positioned himself on Gnarl's loadspace and fixed a tarp over himself.

"Ok Gnarl lets roll."

The small convoy rolled along the highway towards the Autobots.

2007-09-05, 07:59 AM
The minute Checkpoint spun, Bruticus fired, but he was too late. The rocket detonated in a bright flash that sent EM discharges, crackling into the ground

Resorting to his backup plan, one he'd forgotten to tell Doubledealer, Bruticus' arm was a blur as he targetted 5 more robots (Roadhammer, Jackknife, Holdup, Quickshot and Runaround) and fired in rapid succession. Without wait to see if he hit Bruticus fired a spread above them all to encourage them to heep their optic's down.

Doubledealer stared in disbelief, what in the name of the Pit was Bruticus doing?

'Don't stand there, go down and get the cargo,' Bruticus' voice roared over the radio.

'Ok, but move before they trace your fire,' a plan formed in Doubledealer's mind. He quickly transformed into truck mode and began to drive full throttle towards the road.

2007-09-05, 09:24 PM
Runaround was surprised by Clampdown's agility. He'd begun to fire his shoulder cannons at Roadhammer when he realized the jig was up, but the rifle butt hit him squarely on his chin, knocking him off his feet and redirecting his blasts skyward. He frantically transformed to car mode on his back and buzzed off after Holdup, gunning to knock Stockade's legs from under him while he was at it.

Ahead, Boomstick transformed and dove from Quickshot's roof, his feet sparking on the metal pavement for a hundred yards. While he skated toward the competition, Boomstick set to his mission and fired one precise blast at Dice's tires, then two more toward Kingbolt and Quasar.

2007-09-06, 05:13 AM
The collapse of the Sprion Bridge had been hard to miss, especially since Turnpike and Pinstripe had been staked out a block away. The duo had quickly headed toward the ancient span, expecting to see it had fallen down of its own volition. Finding two members of a rival crew there instead was a surprise, but one that the gang leader wasn't about to pass up.

"What, exactly, do you ignorant fools think you are playing at?" Turnpike punctuated his demand by transforming to robot mode, drawing his machine gun and aiming it in Kludge's direction.

For his part, Pinstripe had a small smirk on his face as he started toward Frag, cracking his knuckle joints in anticipation.

Bruticus's shot hit Checkpoint in the right side of his chest, lifting the Autobot off the ground, spinning him in the air and slamming him down onto the road.

Stockade tried to leap aside as Runaround charged him, but agility (mental or physical) had never been his strong suit. The small gangster knocked his left leg out from under him, tossing him into the air and dropping him on top of the mangled Checkpoint.

Roadhammer had been shocked into motion by Runaround's volley, so the blast that otherwise would have hit him square in the windshield only left a deep scar on the side of his trailer.

Dice took a hit in the rear bumper and started to fishtail, but didn't break off from his run on Quickshot.

Jackknife simply ignored the shot that tore off his right rear-view mirror, continuing to charge toward Quickshot as well.

Quasar's left wheel was blown off by Boomstick's shot, and the inexperienced Autobot skidded toward Kingbolt. The more experienced Autobot had had his tire blown out, but reacted with much more poise. He transformed, kick-spun over top of the out-of-control Quasar, and landed in a crouch on the other side.

"Have at thee, knave!" Kingbolt barked as he opened fire on Boomstick with his assault rifle.

For his part, Quasar continued to skid until he hit the ditch, rolled over, and slid into a signpost.

Clampdown watched the carnage as his security team was quickly and efficiently knocked around by the various thugs that had assailed him. This is no good. My team isn't trained for this sort of battle, and only Kingbolt and I have any experience at it. We need to bring in the professionals.

The team leader activated his comlink and scowled at the static that emerged; side-effects of the EMP charge released by Doubledealer's missile. Trying his best to ignore them, he shouted, "Ultra Magnus, this is Squad Leader Clampdown escorting Relief Convoy 34D-2 to Nova Cronum. We've come under attack along the Tygun Span by a miscellaneous group of ruffians. My team is badly overmatched, and two of them have fallen already. Send backup. Please."

2007-09-06, 06:37 AM
Sprion Bridge

Frag and Kludge transformed

Frag lowered his A Frame a large spike glinting at it's apex

"We were waiting for you ?"

Frag revved his engine and charged Pinstripe. Demolition gun firing at the silver lined truck.

Kludge fired his smoke dispensors as he decided to charge Turnpike. He decided to try and psyche out his opponent.

"We're here to get rid of you, Black Shadow told us if we eliminate you we can be his top crew."

2007-09-07, 04:05 AM
"You're an idiot," Turnpike rumbled contemptuously Kludge as the other gangster moved to attack him. He didn't even bother to answer the thug's ridiculous assertion as he vaulted over Kludge, firing armour-piercing rounds down into the smoke cloud as he flew through the air.

Pinstripe's response was a bit less artistic, what with him currently being riddled with gunfire. The smaller Mafioso backpedaled, drawing his fracture missile launcher and firing it into the ground in front of the charging Frag. "Stuff it up yer exhaust pipe, ya fifth-rate hood!"

Clampdown smiled tightly in response to Magnus's reassurance, but his voice was still tense. "We'll do our best, sir. If the situation changes, I'll let you know. Clampdown out."

With that done, he transformed to vehicle mode, flipped on his emergency lights and sirens, and shot off it the general direction of the sniper fire that had been terrorizing his unit, hoping to draw the hidden foes' attention away from the relatively helpless transports.

2007-09-07, 04:38 AM
Quickshot transformed, noting that Holdup was still charging forward with a single-minded determination. "Use your rockets, you idiot!!!!!"

Holdup slewed around, firing a salvo of rockets at the speeding Jackknife.

Quickshot, for his part, simply aimed at Dice and opened fire.

2007-09-07, 06:08 AM
Most mechs would have had a hard time hitting Dice at all, skidding as he was all over the road. But Quickshot's marksmanship placed him head and shoulders above most mechs; his shots shattered the security officer's windshield and tore off his light bar.

In response, Dice transformed and strafed Quickshot with a decidedly less-accurate barrage of photon beams.

Jackknife shuddered as Holdup's shots hit his trailer, ripping it off the hitch and sending it skidding onto the shoulder. The Autobot snarled, swung around and transformed to robot mode. The rear section of his cab split off, transformed separately and configured itself into a combat deck that started to return the gangster's missile barrage with one of its own. Jackknife himself rushed his attacker as if intent on battering him into the ground.

2007-09-07, 06:31 AM
Kludge shuddered as his chassis impacted with shells. He smiled to himself as Turnpike soared over him. He punched up with full force with his excavator arm.

Frag transformed and leapt through the air hoping to rugby tackle Pinstripe.

Loop commed Gnarl "Time for plan B initiate the Autobot IFF codes we obtained. remember you're Flatbed and we're on anti bandit patrol. You read the download these are genuine mechs we're playing they're stationed on the opposite side of the planet. If anyone asks we transfered recently.

He brushed aside the tarpaulin and wound up his rotors. Hovering off Gnarls loadbay.

He opened a com link to the Autobots

"This is Flight Lieutenant Scramble , looks like you've got a spot of bother what , is it a private party or can anyone join in. Two of us were in the area, trailing our coats on anti bandit patrol."

Loop speeded up and headed for the fight

2007-09-07, 06:56 AM
Bruticus had already shifted position, but noted Checkpoint's dash. He signalled Doubledealer.

'Clearly the leader of the security team, should I take him out.'

'No,' Doubledealer responded, 'I'll intercept, his teams out gunned and he'd be lucky to get a signal though the ionization.'

Doubledealer called Skar to him, and changed course. Using a small slope to fly his truck mode into the air. Skar landed on the engine pad, and Knok held on for dear life as Doubledealer became a decepticon falcon.

Immediately he spotted Checkpoint. Swooping down, he transformed into Missile truck mode and skidded to a halt almost immediately in front of the bot.

Bruticus tracked Doubledealer, ready to shoot if the autobot made a move

2007-09-09, 06:32 AM
Clampdown swerved left, his tires squealing as he narrowly avoided plowing into Doubledealer. He recognized the mercenary falcon from a dossier that the ISS kept on him, and had to refrain from cursing about his presence.

The transmission from Loop caught his attention.

Not our backup, but he'll do.

"Good to hear from you, Scramble. I've got a bandit on my tail. Care to dust him off for me?"

High Above

Cosmos dropped into orbit above the Tygun Span, a risky low-orbit hyperspace microjump having let him get to the scene of the battle in minutes. He quickly took up position and started to record as much data as he could. One of the things he recorded, though, caught him off-guard.

Scramble? But he's on garrison duty in Kalis. I just talked to him a few days ago.

The flying saucer quickly uplinked to the nearest Autobot satellite and pulled up a data feed.

2007-09-09, 12:05 PM
Now that he'd force the autobot to divert, Knok crawled off his perch and hit the engine pad. Doubledealer unfolded into robot mode. He stood there, his concussive blaster was in his hand, but it wasn't pointed at Checkpoint.

As always Doubledealer took complete control of robot mode. Knok scanned files and came up with a match for the car in front of him.

He's Checkpoint, an ISS agent, this might be risky.

Now now, we've turned over a new shard remember Doubledealer reassured Knok even as he spoke to Checkpoint

'One way or another, I'll be taking the cargo I was assigned to collect, but for now neither of us wants it take by those bots.' he pointed in the general direction of the firefight, 'here's the deal, you tell your men to not shoot me...even better, get them to fall back for now, and I'll take care of those amatuers.'

2007-09-09, 06:22 PM
Loop smiled inwardly

knock out the bandits and then offer Gnarl's or uhunm Flatbeds services to replace damaged transports and then vanish skywards with the loot. It was all coming together

He replied to the com

"Roger that Clampdown have bandit in my sights."

Loops nose cannon chattered as it stitched a line in the air towards Doubledealer followed shortly after by a flight of rockets.

Gnarl lumbered slowly towards the firefight slow and steady. A whirring noise came as a section of his cab roof slid back and hydraulic arms moved a Calliope rocket launcher into view.

He sent a salvo into the air heading towards Holdup's position.

2007-09-10, 04:45 AM
Turnpike glanced downward in time to see Kludge's excavator arm shot upwards. Timing his movements carefully, he kicked off from the excavator, twisting in the air and landing behind the other Transformer. He proceeded to spray another barrage of shells at the lesser gangster.

Pinstripe let out a loud "ooof!" as Frag tackled him. Once the duo hit the ground, he set to work trying to bludgeon the other Transformer's head in with the butt end of his rocket launcher.

Clampdown scoffed at Doubledealer even as he roared away from the mercenary.

"You really don't expect me to agree to that, do you?"

Had he been in robot mode, he would have grinned as Loop's fire arced over his position, tracking toward the enemy.

2007-09-10, 10:41 AM
'It's really a fair offer, I take out your pests, then we settle our problems, at least I'm being hone-' Doubledealer was cut off as Loop's bullets dented his armour, several penetrated, but the damage was minor.

Skar flew out from behind the ridge and intercepted the missiles. His leechfangs penetrated the casing and entered new codes into the warheads. Skar flapped off, and several of the missiles collided with each other, leaving three. Doubledealer calmly shot the with his concussive blaster, leaving no question as to his skill with it.

Looking back at Checkpoint, 'You would do very well to realise just how much that cargo's worth.'

Doubledealer commed Bruticus, 'Break cover and take out the jet.'

A rumble of rocks reached as far as Doubledealer as Bruticus through off the boulders he'd used as cover. Now free to use his active sensors, Bruticus' fired several bursts at Loop before running closer, his long legs eating at the distance.

2007-09-11, 03:17 AM
Holdup shuddered as missiles impacted against him, still driving forwards, charging at Jackknife.

Quickshot dove to the side, popping up on one knee, aiming and firing at Dice's head. "Just die, Autobot. I want to kill more than just you today."

2007-09-11, 06:36 AM
Frag swung his a frame over his head aiming to trap Pinstripe against him so he could crush the life out of him.

Kludge shuddered as shells impacted him further. He pivoted his excavator arm and used to catapult a flaming ball of Napalm towards Turnpike. As he did so he reved his engine and attempted to put some distance between him and Turnpike as he trailed a cloud of smoke behind him.

2007-09-11, 07:06 AM
Clampdown saw Bruticus charging into the fray and groaned.

This day just gets better and better...

Transforming to robot mode and not bothering to respond to Doubledealer's ludicrous suggestions, the security officer dropped his rocket launcher into position and sent a flash-bang round streaking toward the onrushing Bruticus.

Stockade, having recovered from his previous fall, ran toward his commander, strafing Bruticus' general direction with photon blasts as he moved.

Dice tried to spit out a curse in Quickshot's direction, but what he actually spat out were half-melted chunks of his own face; the gangster had drilled him in the jaw with a laser blast.

Letting his photon blaster do the talking for him, he continued to fire at the mobster. At the same time, his rocket launcher tracked in the other Transformer's direction, locked on target and fired.

Jackknife lunged at Holdup, leaping through the air in an attempt to land on top of the charging gangster so he could shoot him at point blank range.

Turnpike swatted the ball of napalm out of the air with one arm, not even bothering to acknowledged the pain as small globules of it clung to his forearm, burning black circles onto his armour. He holstered the machine gun he was carrying in that hand, pulled out his disruptor rifle with the other, and started to fire at Kludge's rear end. "Really, I could do this all day."

Pinstripe, for his part, desperately rolled away from Frag's grip moments before the A frame slammed into his former position. Transforming to vehicle mode, he deployed his tow-line and shot forward, trying to catch the A frame and drag his enemy along behind him.

2007-09-11, 11:08 PM
Loop dodged the shots hugging the ground and weaving as he headed towards Clampdown's position

"Clampdown looks like we got ourselves some more gatecrashers what. What say you we combine our fire and toas the blighter in the same spot, I was thinking one of his knees."

Frag growled and made a grab for the towline hoping to catch it and pull the mobster back towards him.

Kludge breaked his left track suddenly and swivelled round in a cloud of dust. The normally mild mannered engineer snapped and saw red.

He charged bulldozer blade in position excavator arm extended bucket snapping open and shut hoping to bite a chunk out of Turnpike and a stream of flame spewing from his hull mounted flame thrower.

"you dare talk down to me you slagger I was a qualified engineer before the war you good for nothing collection of nuts and bolts, you brutal unqualified ignorant thug."

2007-09-12, 06:56 AM
Clampdown shrugged as he replied to Loop. "You're the officer, flight lieutenant. I'm just a hired hand. If you think it's a good idea, I'm in."

The security agent popped a fresh magazine into his automatic carbine, took aim and barked orders at Stockade. "Concentrate your fire on his right knee!"

"Gotcha, boss." Stockade continued to spray photon beams around like water coming from a fire hose, but he at least made a token attempt to aim for Bruticus' joint.

Turnpike transformed to vehicle mode, ignoring Kludge's taunts and his flame attacks with equal amounts of contempt. He roared head-on toward the charging enemy with a studied disregard for anything Kludge could do to him.

"Gah!" Pinstripe's wheels spun uselessly against the pavement as Frag caught his tow-line and tried to drag him backward. Slowly, inch by inch, he lost ground.

2007-09-12, 07:04 AM
Loop pivoted in mid air and let off a salvo of rockets in the direction of Bruticu's right knee followed up by a barrage of gun fire.

"Tally ho"

Kludge continued to charge the onrushing mobster.

Frag hauled on the tow rope hand over hand dragging Pinstripe closer

2007-09-12, 10:57 PM
Quickshot giggled maniacially, ducking under Dice's return fire. "Aw, did I hurt the poor widdle Autobot? Let me make it all better." Taking careful aim again, he fired off a brace of shots at Dice's neck and upper torso.

Holdup wasn't smart. Even if he hadn't been a Syk-addict, back in the halcyon days of his youth(maybe an orn or so ago, maybe longer, he couldn't remember anymore), calling him about as bright as a bag of anvils would have been a compliment.

That being said, having an Autobot leaping towards him was something he knew how to deal with. Transforming, his energo knife appearing in his hand, he simply thrust it up at the falling Autobot's center of mass, hoping to impale the(ironically named, if Holdup knew his name) Jacknife.

2007-09-12, 11:38 PM
(OOC: Bruticus is controlled by his shuttle right arm, the one holding the gun. it's not known IC, but damaging or seperating this part will rendering him offline, damage to other areas doens't affect him much)
The blades on Bruticus's helicopter left arm spun, which he held forward as a sort of shield. The flash rocket struck the blades and detonated, forcing his optics to offline rather than overload. He flung himself to the left, setting off a small earthquake as his large bulk landed. He fired blindly in the direction as he he stood again.

A wave of Photon bolts swept towards him as the autobots adjusted there aim, slamming into his right knee. Still partly blindedly, his manoeuvres did little to throw off the aim. His armour quickly parted and the hydrulics partly melted, forcing him to kneel or fall. His optics recovered and he started sending pin point shots at Stockade, Clampdown and Loop, more to force them into cover rather then damage them.

Doubledealer was struggling to maintian his proffessional calm, the plan had gone odnw the tube and there was sometihng wrong with Bruticus, mostly the fact he remaince combined, and contrinued to snipe, instead of using Onslaught's strategies or Brawl's beserker rage. Nevertheless, Bruticus was his only ally, even though several blind shots had nearly struck him.

Doubledealer called Skar as he return to truck mode and sent up another missile. But this one was special, it's smart warhead would wait inrobit until he commanded it. Skar landed on the engine pad and Doubledealer became a large falcon. With one flap of his wings he took off, heading straight for Loop.

2007-09-13, 06:36 AM
Turnpike slammed into Kludge, and somewhere in the back of his mind he was surprised that his enemy hadn't turned aside. They always turned aside, submitting to his undeniable dominance. It would seem, however, that this one would require a more advanced lesson before he understood.

The two Transformers had stopped dead, their momentum cancelling out, Kludge's bulldozer blade and bucket driving into Turnpike's armour. He threw his transmission into reverse, ignoring the agonizing pain as his metal skin was rent open by the other gangster's crude weaponry as he tore away.

"I will explain this as simply as I can," he said icily as he painfully transformed back to robot mode. "You can't beat me. No one can. If you keep trying, I'm going to kill you. If you leave now, I probably won't bother. Your choice."

Pinstripe transformed to robot mode as Frag dragged him closer, trying to find some sort of purchase and stop his movement. His grasping fingers found nothing, however; the pavement was cracked and pitted, coming apart in his hands as he tried to dig into it.

Oh, for the love of-

Desperately, the gangster grabbed a handful of the crumbling road and tossed it at Frag's head.

Quickshot's blasts hit with deadly precision, shredding Dice's neck and chest. The security officer crumbled to the ground, his head only connected to his torso anymore by a few small cables.

Holdup's blade gouged deep into Jackknife's midsection, but the Autobot was nothing if not stubborn. Making a grab for the thug's knife hand with one arm, he swung the other one around in a vicious punch at Holdup's head.

Clampdown hopped away from Bruticus' fire, rolling behind an abandoned information kiosk on the side of the road and firing a few rounds from his automatic carbine back at the gestalt as he did so.

Stockade, who wasn't quite as bright as his team leader, tried to charge the giant enemy but tumbled to the ground when an the Bruticus-made groundquake reached him.

Roadhammer, who had sat out most of the battle so far, shifted into gear and steered himself, trailer and all, directly toward Bruticus, meaning to ram the massive Decepticon at full speed.

2007-09-14, 03:16 AM
Holdup's head snapped to the side. With a growl, he slashed again, attempting to drive the blade of his knife deep into Jacknife's chest.

Quickshot spun, looking for new targets.

2007-09-14, 06:42 AM
Kludge transformed and looked across at Turnpike.

"an interesting proposition, being a criminal rather than a soldier there reaches a point where the costs of an operation out weighs the potential benefits, although I doubt your invulnerability i think that you are making a certain amount of sense."

Frag headbutted the piece of roadbed splitting it in two as he pulled on the cable in an attempt to pull Pinstripe ever closer.

He slipped a sawtoothed vibro cutlass from a leg compartment with one hand and waited for Pinstripe to come close enough

Loop fired a stram of shellls from his nose cannon at the approaching bird.

2007-09-15, 04:24 AM
Turnpike grunted. A different mech would have been relieved that Kludge seemed to be reacting reasonably, if only because of the high amounts of damage the gang leader had taken himself. He was too arrogant to ever really contemplate the possibility that the other Transformer might have beaten him, though, so such thoughts never entered Turnpike's mind. Always the pragmatist, he'd had something else in mind, and he'd been testing the other Transformer's reactions.

"I tend to do that," he said. His optics narrowed. "But since you seem to be reasonable, how about I make another proposition? It seems that your associates and mine aren't the only ones after this convoy. It also seems like the Autobots have called for backup. If this keeps up, neither one of us will make off with anything. But if your crew and mine cooperate, we could take the cargo, make our getaway and split the booty 50-50."

Pinstripe caught sight of the wicked cutting implement and redoubled his escape efforts.

Jackknife snarled, but the sound grew higher in pitch as Holdup's blade sliced into a vital fuel line. He'd wanted to be a soldier, but this...this wasn't how it was supposed to go. The villains were supposed to fall easily, a sign to the rest of the world of the trucker's heroics. Never had he even considered the possibility that he could be injured himself, let alone killed.

"Please," he whimpered hopelessly. "Please. No more."

Kingbolt stepped over an insensate Boomstick, transformed to vehicle mode and tried to ram Quickshot from behind.

2007-09-15, 05:51 AM
Holdup merely smiled. It wasn't an intelligent smile, or an evil smile. It was the smile of a monster with the mind of a small child entering his happy place. Holdup brought his knife up, spun it so the blade was pointing down, and brought it down towards the top of Jacknife's head with brutal, savage force.

Quickshot heard the revving engine behind him and dove to the side, snapping a rapid brace of shots at Kingbolt's tires and side.

2007-09-15, 12:30 PM
Doubledealer evaded the shots with ease. As a falcon his agility was far superior to the jet, even if it was faster. Performing a barrel role to one side, he fired lasers at Loop

Bruticus continued suppressing fire, to the point he almost missed Roadhammer. Too close to shoot, he instead stopped firing and swung a titanium plated fist at the cab.

2007-09-16, 08:02 AM
Frag continued to haul on the tow rope

He brought the vibro cutlass down hoping to slash Pinstripes leg

Kludge checked the updates he was recieving from his team members.

"It would appear that Bruticus and Doubledealer are also involved. Also it would appear logical that the Autobots would have summoned back up. Now the aim of this operation is to obtain the cargo. My team leader is a heavy lift helicopter and you yourself have cargo hauling capacity. So i suggest that instead of getting bogged down in further fighting that we purloin the trailers and remove ourself from the imediate vicinity. The Autobot transport element has detached itself from their cargo better to fight your attacks. In fact i have an idea...

Loop surged upwards the helimech avoiding the laser burst. H emanoeuvred to line up on the more agile Falcon . He fired another burst of rockets at him.

Gnarl fired another round from his calliope sending a barrage of rockets towards Bruticus.

2007-09-16, 08:41 PM
Catady uncrossed her long, slim legs and leaned forwards eagerly, a fluid motion of pale blue and cream. "Tell me again," she said almost breathlessly.

Rather full of it, Transcan strutted towards her across the refuelling station table. "There's some convoy or another in trouble. I - ah - overheard."

The fem shivered, blue optics brightening. "A live one at last! If I had to go back into the High Council Chambers to record a lot of old fuddies discussing why we should or shouldn't work with the Quints, I swear I'd be arrested for screaming. Call up the crew, 'Scan - we're rolling!"

This is your waning that the press is coming. Please see Iacon thread.

2007-09-17, 04:14 AM
Kingbolt swerved out of Quickshot's line of fire, righteous indignation spurring as he saw Jackknife fall dead to the ground not far away.

"Thou shant smite me with such ease, vile fiends!"

Transforming to robot mode, the security officer fired his shoulder rocket at Holdup before charging toward Quickshot and trying to bash his head in with the butt of his rifle.

Roadhammer swerved out of line with Bruticus' punch, swinging away from his ramming course and heading away from the Decepticon 90 degrees off of his original path.

Clampdown continued to fire at the giant Decepticon, although he was more interested in just pinning Bruticus in place until their backup got there than anything else.

Stockade clambered back to his feet, found some cover and added his fire to his commander's.

Pinstripe rolled away from Frag's blade, narrowly avoiding a crude amputation.

"Gah! Stoppit!"

Turnpike caught sight of the melee and nodded in Frag's direction.

"First thing's first," he told Kludge. "Tell him to stop trying to bisect henchman." He crossed his arms. "Then tell me what you're thinking."

2007-09-17, 07:47 AM
Bruticus tried to the grabbed Roadhammers trailer, but the shots from four different autobots pinned him down once more. Stuck without cover, Bruticus returned fire as best he could until something snapped.

He briefly went limp, before slowly getting up and walking forward. Sparks shot out of his damaged right knee, shell and bolts pounded his armour, but he just walked forward in a zombie like manner. Raising his rifle, he slowly lined it up with Stockades position. Instead of the green bolts that had previously leapt from the barrel, a red glow could be seen inside, getting brighter and brighter as the bolt inside charged.

Doubledealers wings were a blur as he preformed a deft series of midair dodges. Rockets blew as they tried to track his movments and struck one another. He recieved a brief beacon signalling the rocket he's sent up earlier. He'd been loathed to use such an expensive piece of equipment, but it was needed. He transmitted the activation code, at the same time diving at Loop claws bared.

The cigar shaped rocket hung there in low orbit as the activation codes initiated the arming sequence. The warhead shell split and fanned like a flower, the engines stacked themselves on one another, forming a long barrel. The Laser defense satelite that had been purchased and modified by Doubledealer, finished transforming and linked to Doubledealer's sensors, ready to fire.

2007-09-17, 08:42 PM
Frag swung once more at Pinstripe with his Vibro cutlass.

Kludge looked over at him

"Stop trying to slice and dice Pinstripe, we need to co operate or else all we going to get out of this lil escapade will be jail time."

2007-09-18, 04:24 AM
Holdup lurched slightly as the rocket slammed into him, annoying him. He'd been in his happy place, and this rocket has yanked him right out of it. Grabbing jacknife's corpse by one leg, he started stalking towards Kingbolt, energo-knife glittering in one hand, a scowl on his face.

Quickshot, for his part, ran for it, falling back rapidly in the face of the larger Autobot, trying to cover his retreat with blaster fire, snapping shots at the Autobot security officer.

2007-09-18, 06:00 AM
Loop shuddered as claws raked his armour. Gouging the metal.

He spiralled downwards towards the ground.

2007-09-19, 06:24 AM
Stockade wasn't bright enough to realize that Bruticus was charging up his weapon to blow him away, so he stood his ground and continued to fire, ignoring Clampdown's calls for him to move.

"Gotta say, I like the way he thinks," Pinstripe said in response to Kludge's statement as he pulled away from Frag.

Kingbolt watched as Quickshot took off, dodging the gangster's gunfire, then focused his attention on Holdup.

"Thou art about to engage a foe far beyond thine meagre capabilities, villain. Learn well from the deeds of your murderous comrade and fly from my presence while thou still can."

The security officer reached behind his back, then slowly withdrew a short sword from a scabbard that had been hidden by his vehicle mode roof.

"Thou hast been warned."

From his vantage point high above the battlefield, Cosmos observed Doubledealer's weapons satellite as it began to unfold.

"No, no, no, no, no!"

Cranking his ion engines to maximum, the Autobot UFO shot toward the orbital weapon. As he dropped into a lower orbital plane and closed to maximum firing range, he opened fire with his particle beams.

At the same time, he fired off a quick transmission. "Hot Rod, the situation here is deteriorating rapidly. I can't tell who's doing what or why, but I'm seeing one enemy gestalt, at least nine enemy infantry units, and an orbital weapons platform arrayed against us here. I'm moving to engage. Get here quick, and come ready for a fight."

2007-09-19, 06:41 AM
Frag scowled and glared at Pinstripe

Kludge looked across at the others

"Our mission is to obtain the cargo yes. We do not have to eliminate all the enemy to achieve this aim. Secondly currently they lack units with an aerial capacity. Thirdly my comrades have infiltrated the Autobot forces disguised as reinforcements . Forthly the Autobots are currently unaware of our presence."

He gestured at the Bridge.

"Loop can airlift at least one cargo trailer under the guise of saving it from the enemy. Once it is is the otherside of that bridge . The enemy wil find pursuit difficult. Some of us can fake pursuit and the others can keep the AUtobots and that scoundrel Doubledealer at bay."

2007-09-19, 12:02 PM
Ah the sound of his talons ripping through metal, it'd been a long time since he'd heard the sweet sound.

But buisness first he chided himself as an uplink to the sattelite opened, in order to fit the laser into the rocket while maintianing a power to destory a ship, Doubledealer had taken shortcuts. It wouldn't last long fring but, he was desperately out numbered and needed the high ground it provided.

He spun back to look at the battle scene. Bruticus was walking without cover, shots took chunks of of his armour and still he kept coming. Doubledealer swooped down, radioing 'Bruticus, what are you foing! you're not invulnerable, get out of there'

Bruticus fired at Stockade The red bolt that emerged from the barrel was almost comical in in it's size, ridiculously larger than the barrel. Doubledealer dodged shot and landed, still in falcon mode infront of the larger transformer. He expected Bruticus to respond, or maybe to shoot him. What he didn't expect was Bruticus' foot whirling round.

Armour crumpled as Doubledealer what sent flying straight into the formation Clampdown was using for cover. His front armour ha the mother of all dents in it and one of his wings was badly damaged.

The damaged knee joint couldn't take the strain and the Brawl analogue of this Bruticus went flying as well, though it's higher trajecyory made it land and deform a short distance behind Clampdown.

Bruticus didn't appear to notice. Instead his barrel shifted to aim at both Clampdown and the damaged Doubledealer. Another glow grew within the barrel.

2007-09-20, 06:56 AM
"Consider it a deal," Turnpike told Kludge. "But since your comrade here has mangled my henchman pretty badly, Pinstripe will be ferrying that trailer," he jutted his chin in the direction of the late Jackknife's rig, "to safety. We have a secure drop site nearby that it can be hidden in, and at the moment there aren't any Autobots around to stop us. The rest of my crew will help Loop secure the second trailer. If all goes well, we can go our separate ways then and there."

At the last minute Stockade tried to dodge Bruticus' shot, but his effort was too little, too late. The security officer was lifted off the ground and deposited a dozen metres away, smoke rising from his chest.

Clampdown would have taken time to mourn his comrade, but there wasn't any available. He started to dash away from his cover as soon as he saw Doubledealer incoming, almost got crushed as the Brawl-segment of Bruticus slammed to the ground nearby, and did his best to fire in the gestalt's general direction as he fled toward an old building that he hoped would offer a better defensive posture.

2007-09-20, 01:31 PM
Doubledealers CPU was frozen, leaving Skar in control of the damaged body.
'Get to the Autobot leader, Bruticus clearly is the new target.' he told Knok hurriedly.

'And how am I supposed to ctach him.' he responded, still not used to Skar. Skar weakly pointed a talon at Bruticus's gun. Knok took the hint, 'don't let go, his frame can't take the transformation right now.'

'I agree,' Skar responded. Knok found a place he could hold onto. Bruticus fired. Doubledealers body smashed through the wall it had been lying against, and sailed towards the nearby structure.

Timing his leap, Knok leap off and rolled on the surface, coming to a stop ahead of Clampdown. Without getting up he began yelling at the autobot 'Hey, wait a moment!'

Skar used Doubledealer's wings to angle the body as best he could, they sailed though a wall and smashed to the ground, skidding to a halt.

Bruticus truned his attention to the convoy trucks, but he tried to place weight on the nonexistant leg he collapsed, sturggling to get back up and and aim.

2007-09-20, 11:01 PM
Loop staggered in the air and lurched than recovered

He smiled inwardly as he recieved a message from Kludge

He commed the remaining Autobots as he headed towards a cargo trailer.

"I'm going to airlift one of the trailers, lure them off , split their forces what, give you chaps a chance, it 's the cargo they want , give you time to recover and regroup. If i don't make it at least you guys might have a fighting chance."

Kludge nodded.

"All they need to do is keep the Autobots disorientated."

2007-09-21, 02:26 AM
Jetfire: "Never fear, Cosmos! Backup's arrived!" -diving down towards Bruticus, particle cannons and plasma cannons blasting away-

2007-09-23, 04:21 AM
"Good to see you!" Cosmos transmitted to Jetfire. "When is the rest of the cavalry getting here?"

As he spoke, the satellite continued to bear down on Doubledealer's satellite, spitting particle beams as he flew.

Clampdown didn't slow down one bit, but he didn't shoot Knok, either.

"Speak fast, scum," he said, gesturing menacingly with his automatic rifle as he did so.

He flipped over to Loop's frequency. "I don't know about that. Hot Rod should be here any clik now. Maybe we should wait for him?"

"Sounds like a plan."

Without a further word to Kludge, Turnpike transformed to vehicle mode and roared away, heading toward Bruticus, where the bulk of the battle now was.

Pinstripe also transformed, albeit a lot slower; he'd taken a pretty good beating. The small gangster backed up to Jackknife's discarded trailer and connected to it. Then he started to roll forward, moving in the opposite direction as his boss as he headed for the nearby Praetorus Wharf exit.

2007-09-23, 04:42 AM
Holdup kept advancing towards Kingbolt. The look on his face that of a vindictive child, his knife clenched tightly in his fist, Jacknife's messily oozing corpse being dragged along behind him, ready to use it on this bad Autobot who'd tried to spoil his fun.

Quickshot, for his part, did the smart thing. As soon as the Autobot's attention was off of him, he found a solid piece of cover, raised his blaster, and fired a brace of shots at the back of Kingbolt's head.

Hot Rod: -over commlink- "We're on our way, Cosmos! Just hang in there!"

2007-09-23, 05:04 AM
Knok continued to yell.
'That's not Bruticus, might not even be a transformer. Your guns are ineffective,' he pointed up, 'The satellite was designed to destroy ships, shoudl take him out easily, but Doubledealer's radio is smashed. Here's the deal, I'll give you the uplink codes so you can shoot him, and you let us go.'

He thought to himself Start with the outraegeous and barter down, best way to strike a deal

Meanwhile in the structure, Skar ran a diagnostic, over 60% of the body registered some sort of damage.
Bruticus crawled forward a little and fired at the parked convoy. Jetfire's intervention caused to the shot to go wide, taking a chunk out of the roadside. One of the shots burrowed into the back of his head. He ignored the shots as they pierce what would normally be vital systems and crawled on.
Two beams struck the flower of solar panels at the end of the sattelite, melting them off. The small computer reacted, diverting power to the small forcefeild generator. The other particl beam shots struck the shield, which began to slowly weaken under the fire.

2007-09-23, 05:39 AM
Jetfire: -transforming to Guardian mode, unleashing the full firepower of all his available weaponry at Bruticus' back- "I think I'm going to need more guns."

2007-09-23, 07:37 AM
Tygun Span

Transmission flew over the Iacon suburbs the ground changing beneath him as the buildings got fewer and fewer and the encroaching wasteland grew.

His shadow traced a path across the bleak surface.

He pushed his throttles forward in response to Transcan's comment.

"here goes nothing."

Loop swooped down on the cargo trailer and started to attach himself to it.

"good point old chap, but the criminals will realise that as well and they will try that bit harder....guard against the blackpumped devils purloining the other trailer."

2007-09-24, 05:06 AM
"No deal," Clampdown told Knok. "If what you say is true, my superiors will want to take pieces of that...whatever it is in for study. We can't just wipe it off the map, not unless we're entirely out of options. But if you give me the uplink codes, I'll make sure Doubledealer gets proper medical attention when my backup arrives. Beyond that...well, you're going to have to talk Hot Rod into anything else, I'm afraid."

Roadhammer disconnected from his trailer, grudgingly allowing Loop to take it into the air.

Kingbolt moved to counter Holdup's new position, and the shots meant to hit the back of his head instead burned into the roof of his car mode. Thankfully, he'd modified that entire section to act as a detachable shield, so not much harm was done.

"Thou art a dishonourable swine, villain!"

Turning to face Quickshot, he fired a rocket in the gangster's direction.

2007-09-24, 08:41 AM
Knok had to think fast, he needed a stronger position than what he had. Desperately he sent a silent comm to Skar, hoping for some help from the decepticon.

There's another group besides us and the raiders Skar sent back to Knok, the cargo's too valuable for just us to be interested, more than likely they'll try to sneak off while we're fighting

I need more than Knok portested Any idea where they might be

Nope, at this stage, lie, by the time they figure it out we can be long gone, oh nd there are two more things you might like to consider

what? Knok felt that this could only get worse

1. Bruticus is most likely booby trapped, if they use the satelite there maybe a few pieces left, but if they cut in they'll get nothing. 2. Someone's attacking the satelite

Knok cursed as he'd cut the line, he'd been ignoring the uplink, but now that he checked it, the stelite had suffered minor damage and it's shield was weakening. He looked quickly at the sensors as well, hoping to find someone to point the finger at. There was a plane taking the cargo from one of the trucks. In all that time only a few moments had passed.

'Fine, but you talk to Hot Rod on our behalf about being pardoned, and I'll tell you who's about to make off with your precious cargo' he calmly told Clampdown
Bruticus fired at the convoy again, his aim was better, the blast clipped the front of one of the trucks, melting the drive unit. Jetfire's barrage severed his command trunk, causing everything below his waist to offline. Several shot peppered his upper back. One stuck his right arm (the one with the gun) and melted the armour. Bruticus instantly rolled onto his back and sprayed shots at the Autobot

Scramble fixed himself to the trailer

"Flatbed will stay and help you chaps defeat the Cons what!! see you in a while chaps give them 'Cron."

Loop took off and headed toward the bridge.

Flatbed fired his calliope at Holdup's position the shot's "accidentally " bracketing the Mobster.

Transmission crested a rise and the ground fell away below them revealing the scene of the battle the single ribbon of road the few scattered buildings and the distant bridge and the figures grappling and fighting.

"Ok crew we have contact , lets check our Press IFF transponders are functioning , Static do a scan for dedicated AA.

Transcan try and work out who we have down there and once you pick out who are the bad guys try a get a fix on ranges and types. I'm slaving camera 4,5,6 to your control.

Catady cameras 1 and 2 are all yours and Interior 3 is ready for your intro.

Lets make some news."

Tygun Span

Transcan let out a whoop. 'Bruticus! Bruticus! By the Pit, I thought we'd heard the last of him and then the gestalt offspring of a glitch turns up here! Whoo-hoooo!'

'Mind on the job, mind on the job.' Static's hissed return was more a reminder than an order.

'I need to get the intro ready,' Catady reminded the Micromaster sharply. 'We've got a live feed coming up in a breem fractal. I want to get Jetfire right in frame immediately afterwards.'

'Aww, what about Bruticus?' Transcan wailed. He sounded like someone had taken his energon goodies away.

2007-09-24, 08:55 PM
Static's optics glazed over as he scanned the area.

"Uncharacteristic behaviour Onslaught is normally more subtle than this. Scanning the airwaves, i'm sure i saw a mech interest piece saying the Combaticons, showed up in Protihex. Seems a bit of heavy Artillery for normal bandits. Doesn't look like he's going anywhere fast whatever his game.

Transmission banked to get a better angle on Jetfire

"there's always the camera drones Trans' you could start deploying them get a full idea of what we got here exactly. Just watch Unit 4 she's more duct tape than anything else, can't get the spares for the old Mark 17's any more but they were one of the best Combat environment CD's of their day."

Tygun Span

'I can do better than that!'

Transcan gave a quick electronic burst that activated the free-flying camera units. One of them instantly spluttered and fell, trailing smoke. The airwaves filled with a brief screaming and then the camera swung back up within practical kissing distance of the road surface far below.

'Oh, slag,' sighed Catady. 'He's done it again.' She looked out of Transmission's open portal, but ducked back to continue her VO as she tracked Jetfire, reminding the viewing public of his heroic actions on Earth.

Yes. He had done it again. Transcan was clinging to Remote Operational Camera Unit Four. Or, it was fairer to say, had taped himself to the thing, since there was very little metal left on its surface....

Static shook his head.

"So who wins the sweepstake on when he'd do something stupid again this time Transmission?"

Transmission paused

"looks like Mixer came closest he was only a demi Breem out on the time too."

Static leaned over a console

"Transcan if you're going to play the daring hero i'll want a running commentary, some kind of VO. "

Transmission cut in

"If you've damaged that unit......"

Static cut back in

"go check out the bridge our initial scans show some kind of damage..."

Sitting back on the floor among the boxes of Static's equiptment, Catady held up her hands, claws out. "Give me strength! Mechs!"

She fell forwards, transforming into feline mode, and leapt to the portal, her keen optics scanning for a safe landing zone.

2007-09-27, 06:08 AM
"Consider it done." Clampdown narrowed his optics and glared at Knok, the way he'd always seen more senior security officers do when they were talking to suspects. "But talk fast, or I might change my mind."

Cosmos shot past the satellite, boosting his speed as he prepared to loop around for another pass. Before he did, though, his sensitive comms receivers started to pick up quite a bit of civilian traffic. He couldn't decode much of it on the fly; even civilian scramblers could be difficult when you're flying a combat mission. But he got enough to get the gist of what was going on.

"Attention civilian news crew," he broadcast on what he thought was their main communications channel. "This is Lieutenant Junior Grade Cosmos, Autobot reconnaissance and communications officer. I strongly suggest you keep back to a safe distance. This is a live-fire area, and while we won't target you, I can't promise our criminal foes will be so polite."

2007-09-27, 08:40 AM
'Alright,' Knok knew antagonising wouldn't help now, even though it'd make him feel alot bet considering how large Clampdown was relative to him. He formed a tight band link with Clampdown and transmitted the codes and targetting routines. At the same time he linked with the satelite and added Clampdown to the list of targeters, though he subtly restricted access elsewhere, just in case.

He also sent a copy of the scan he'd viewed, highlighting Loop Before Clampdown could say a word Knok was talking, 'I'm guessing he hasn't be screened by whoever you work for. Looks like he's trying to get out with that cargo while you're fending off erveyone else.'

2007-09-27, 05:38 PM
Loop pushed his throttles forward as he neared the Bridges location.

Gnarl transformed and ran towards Holdup a battle mace swinging in one hand and a Voulge in the other.

Voulge (http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/75/Voulges.png/180px-Voulges.png&imgrefurl=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voulge&h=208&w=180&sz=28&hl=en&start=2&um=1&tbnid=Q19AkCLxClQoaM:&tbnh=105&tbnw=91&prev=/images%3Fq%3DVoulge%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26rls%3DHPEA,HPEA:2005-01,HPEA:en%26sa%3DN)

The Bridge

Transcan steered and cajoled camera unit 4 up and over the very edge of the broken bridge. He optic'd the damage. 'Deliberate attack rather than just collateral,' he radioed the news team on their internal channel (not the one Cosmos had used!). 'Catady - you wanna get down here with Static and set up a ground commentary?'

'Planning to,' Catady replied. 'Transmission: I need you to drop a bit so I can take the jump safely. You run something with Cosmos as in-fill, yes?'

2007-09-28, 06:45 PM
Static mutttered to himself

"here we go again , why can't we land like a normal newscrew."

Transmision pushed his nose down and lost altitude.

"no problem a bit of second crew work."

He opened a channel to Cosmos

"here we have ,live on air Cosmos veteran of the Cybertron Liberation, tell me Cosmos what is the situation we have here today?"

2007-09-29, 04:02 AM
Jetfire: "Uh-oh...." -transforming back to fighter mode, he kicked in his boosters and careened wildly across the sky, swooping down to ground level and transforming to robot mode, skating backwards on his foot thrusters and smaller backpack thrusters, the heavy cannons mounted on his main boosters dropping down, aiming, along with the plasma cannons on his arms, at Bruticus, opening fire-

Holdup swung Jacknife's corpse in a brutal overhand swing, attempting to use the Autobot's corpse as a battle club on Kingbolt's head.

Quickshot, meanwhile, scrambled for safety, his skin pelted by debris from the explosion from Kingbolt's shot, snapping a brace of shots off at the charging Gnarl's.

Omega Supreme: -roaring through the sky, hatch in his side opening-

Minerva: -grabbing onto a strut to keep the wind from throwing her around too much- "We do have a plan for this, right?"

Hot Rod: -smirking- "We do what the good guys always do. Beat the everloving slag out of the bad guys."

Roadbuster: -snorts- "The bad guys are anybody without an Autobot emblem. Everybody got that?"

Hot Rod: "'Buster, you take life way too seriously."

Roadbuster: "Wrong. I take Decepticon life with extreme prejudice. If you can fly, get out there! We'll cover you."

Hot Rod: -leaping out of the open hatch, booster roaring to life as he arcs through the air-

Roadbuster: -anchoring himself on one side of the hatch, pulling his laser rifle, aiming down- "Still a little out of my range. How about it, Stepper?"

Stepper: -anchoring himself to the other side of the hatch, Nebulon in Blaze Cannon mode on his shoulder mount, scowling at the numbers scrolling across his targeting HUD- "Keep us steady, Omega. It's the extreme range for my targeting sensors." -locking onto Loop, he fired, the shoulder mounted Blaze Cannon roaring, flinging hypervelocity Inferno shells at the overburdened(by the container he's carrying) mechanoid-

2007-09-29, 05:59 AM
Transmision swiveled a camera towards the approaching Omega Supreme

"We've got incoming Autobots , i've got Hot Rod shooting footage now the public will lap it up. Got...zooming in now Roadbuster...They're aiming at someone."

Static was using all his sensors getting a better picture of the battlefield.

"They're firing at that Helicopter but it's got Autobot IFF transponder readings."

Transmision acknowledged

"Transcan can you get any close up's is that an Autobot out there."

Static's fingers flew over his board "uploading now.."

Transmission adjusted his IFF Beacon to full strength and boosted the ones on the camera drones as well as flicking up their forcefields to maximum.

His Autobot Symbol glinting in the sun next to his CBC markings as he banked.

"Catady looks like we might have a friendly fire incident, either that or they know something, we don't anyway it looks like a story. Opening a channel now."

Transmision opened a link back to Cosmos

"sorry about that Cosmos, events seem to have overtaken us can you tell me who your forces have just opened fire on , my sensors say it's Scramble are we talking rogue Autobot here?"

Loop shuddered as incoming fire lashed his armour. Trailing a plume of smoke he disappeared into the the gorge over which the bridge had passed.

Frag and Kludge observed the incoming Autobots and decided that their best option was a strategic withdrawal.

They disappered over the side of the gorge using Kludge's grapnel to lower themselves to it's floor.

2007-09-29, 06:19 AM
Broadside scanned the area from the hatch before choosing a target, Bruticus. Though amazed that the gestalt was still moving with all the damage to it, he suppressed his curiousity. Protect the convoy first

'I'm going to help Jetfire,' he yelled as he leap out of the hatch. Ordinarily he'd have transformed into Jet mode, but instead used remained in robot mode, using his thrusters to slow his fall.
'Jetfire, sir' he broadcast, 'Broadside on location, please stand back.' Ordinarily the gestalt would've been way above Broadside's strength, but with all the damage, it looked to be a fair fight. He fired several bursts with his pulse cannon at the larger robot.

Bruticus braced an arm againt the ground and rolled away from the fire, both Broadside's and Jetfire's, firing a returning volley as he moved.

Broadside dodged most of the incoming shots, his other arm seized his Vibro axe, and judged the distance between them.

2007-09-29, 09:16 PM
Catady's beast features moved into a snarl, fangs glittering. She gauged the distance to the ground. 'Hold steady, Transmission!' she called. "Static - get over here right now. We miss this drop, there isn't going to be another chance." Wrapping her tail around a suitable bit of airframe, she told the techie, "You know the drill. Just hold tight and deactivate your optics."

Simultaneously, Transcan was also transmitting. 'I've got camera 9 on the heli and tapping visual. That's Scramble. Just gimme a couple of astroseconds...' He brought camera 5 round as backup whilst running data checks, some of which, to be sure, were not exactly legal. 'Hey, I'm into the Autobot Deployment Register - says Scramble is posted to Kalis! Who the screw is that, then?'

2007-09-30, 05:30 AM
Clampdown quickly catalogued the codes that Knok had sent him, but caught sight of Omega Supreme in the skies above before he could do anything with them.

Thank Primus this isn't my fiasco anymore.

"Hot Rod," he shouted into his comlink, "we've got a problem. An extra one, I mean. The chopper that's hauling away our cargo is masquerading as a friendly, but I've just got intel that suggests he isn't." He smiled slightly. "Thankfully your crew is already firing on him. Good show. I've also lost visual contact with the other transport container, if you can spare someone to run it down. Oh, and I've got the firing codes for that orbital weapons platform hovering above us. Please don't ask how just yet."

"Actually," Cosmos told Transmission in a friendly tone, after he'd finished processing Clampdown's broadcast, "we've got information suggesting that he's an impostor. And since he's making off with high-value cargo against all logical reason, I think there's a pretty good chance it's correct."

Switching to Hot Rod's frequency, he reported, "Sir, I've got a read on the other trailer. It's being hauled toward the Praetorus Wharf by an unfriendly. I'm moving to intercept."

Whirl leaped out of Omega Supreme's hatch, transforming in the air and blazing off in the direction that Loop had gone.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are..."

Kingbolt disconnected his reinforced roof section from his back, swung it around and used it to shield himself from Holdup's attack.

"Thou shalt not smite me, ill-mannered peon!" he spat while stabbing at the gangster's knee with his sword.

Turnpike sat off to the side in vehicle mode, waiting to see if anyone paid him any mind. If they did, they would suffer greatly for it. And if they didn't...well, if they didn't, they might just end up suffering even more.

2007-09-30, 08:08 AM
Overdrive powered out of Omega's hatch and headed out towards the battlefield.

"Copy you Cosmos, I'll go investigate Praetorus Wharf Bogie."

Transmission hovered in place.

Static grimaced and moved across the cabin doing as ordered and deactivating his optics.

Transmission commed Transcan

"looks like he's a criminal , run some scans see if you can find ny active crims with heli alt modes. If you ID him, we might be able to trade the info with the Bots."

Transmission opened a channel to Cosmos

"A pretty good chance he's a Criminal you say Lieutenant, so what you saying is that your forces opened fire before they were 100 percent sure."

Gnarl staggered and collapsed laying still.

2007-09-30, 09:23 PM
'Roger roger,' Transcan fired back sourly. Like, he could so do that quickly - break into and scan criminal records vaults! Maybe he could shortcut via the Iacon Central Registry..? Yeah, he still had a hack in place there.

Silver. Red. Plenty of 'bots with those colours. Now, he had to limit the number to flight operational units. Whoo! That many? Popular livery! Mind you, he had to check the design options... Hah-hah, that was better! OK, now reroute...

Oops! He'd picked up a tagger. Quickly, he opened a filewall meant to keep intruders like him out and dropped the link on the unsuspecting monitoring individual. It gave him the chance to erase his steps and take the leap into the nearest vault. In a few nanoseconds, he established no links inside Iacon. Silly, silly! Flyers were mainly 'Cons! Rerouting, he jumped to Polyhex, keeping his intrusion subtle, because Soundwave probably had tendrils even here. He picked up two leads - followed one to a mine slave, the next to a mech known as Loop....

Static's out-stretched hands found Catady and he clasp her around the neck. She restrained a reflex slash and yowled instead, a warning to slacken his grip. He was terrified of the drop, she knew, but it wouldn't stop him - he was a professional.

In a bound, she carried them out and down towards the roadway.

2007-09-30, 09:32 PM
Static shuffled forward hands outstretched. The deckplate beneath his soles. He flinched as a yowl split the air and risking a brief reactivation of his optics readjusted his grip.

He barely had time to deactivate them again before he was flying through the air plunging downward.

Must keep calm, calm yes , think about something anything else, something ordinary boring, his expenses report, would the credit counters at HQ pass it , it wasn't like he padded it now Airplay ther was a femme who made numbers dance ...

2007-09-30, 11:40 PM
Hot Rod: -swooping down, transforming to vehicle mode and hitting the ground, engine roaring as he shoots forward, activating his commlink- "Nice party you're throwing, Clampdown. Think you can task that orbital platform to fire on the unfriendlies?" -switching frequencies- "Told you we'd get here, Cosmos. Think you can catch up to the one heading for the wharf? Or do you think you'll need backup?" -skidding to a halt, transforming, charging his photon cannons, scowling at Turnpike- "You want to call your idiots off, or do I have to make you call them off?"

Quickshot smirked, watching his target fall. "Don't mess with the best, slagger." He was about to aim back at Kingbolt when he stopped and looked up, squinting slightly. "Well, well.... what do you know...." He started moving at a run towards Kingbolt and Holdup.

Omega Supreme:

Roadbuster: "You just shot something with an Autobot emblem."

Stepper: "It's a fake. The real guy's in Kalis......" -scowling- "Quickshot."

Roadbuster: "Who?"

Stepper: "One of the hostiles. He's a psychopath. And almost as good a shot as I am."

Roadbuster: -chuckles- "At least you're not immodest."

Stepper: "I'm not kidding. If we manage not to kill him, I want to beat any info we can get out of him." -tracking the running mafioso, leading the target slightly-

Roadbuster: "Get down to the gorge, Omega. I think we'll be dropping Stepper off before we go there, though."

Stepper: "Got him." -opens fire, Blaze Cannon roaring, flinging Inferno shells at Quickshot-

Quickshot started laughing, laughing so hard that he almost fell as he ran. "Predictable as ever, Stepper! Predictable AS EVER!!!!!" He pivoted, bringing his gun up and snapped off a barrage of shots, the blasts destroying the shells in their flight, then transformed and floored it, tires screaming as he rockets away, leaving the flaming white phosphorus/thermite goo mixture falling in an amorphous, flaming mass down on Holdup and Kingbolt.

Holdup, for his part, grunted when the sword slammed into his heavily armored knee, slashing at Kingbolt's torso, wondering why he's suddenly feeling so warm........

2007-10-01, 05:58 AM
"That's what it sounds like," Cosmos told Transmission in a friendly tone. "But then, it was Wreckers doing it. They've always been a bit on the overzealous side."

The flying saucer switched over to a different channel to answer Hot Rod. "Overdrive and I can handle things," he said. "I hope."

Turnpike scoffed at Hot Rod's bravado.

"You are in no position to make me do anything, Autobot." He transformed to robot mode, knowing his Optimus-esque body would give pause to his foe. "If you attack, I'll kill you and everyone you care about. You can convince me, though. I'm very open to bribery."

"Yeah, probably," Clampdown told Hot Rod, his voice speculative. "I wouldn't trust it very far, to be honest. Black market gear like that isn't very reliable, and we'd probably end up vapourizing ourselves if we used it at close quarters. It'd scare the slag out of the other side, though, that's for sure."

Kingbolt stepped back from Holdup, evading the thug's slash and blocking the incoming flaming mass with his shield.

"Thou art ablaze, criminal knave. Lay down thine arms and I shalt make sure thine health doth be attended to."

2007-10-01, 06:25 AM
'Excuse me!' Knok huffed at Clampdown and Hot Rod, 'But aside from whatever damage your friend up there caused, that sattelite is in perfect working order.'

The autobot way annoyed, just because he was short, didn't mean they could just ignore him. 'The beam can be aimed to mere centimeters and is more that strong enough to melt through Type 2 ship armour. The intesity is up to you as well now.'

Knok, hurry up, I'm not sure how long I can keep Doubledealer, out. Skar called from the building, he was trying to suprress Doubledealer in case he still tried to complete the mission.

'Right, did you bring a medic with you?' Knok hurridly asked.

2007-10-01, 01:18 PM
"Touchdown in 3-2-1," Catady told Static as she braced all four 'paws' to absorb the inevitable impact (Static wasn't particularly heavy, but the kit he insisted on carrying certainly added extra and, of course, its weight shifted as they fell).

They bounced to a stop and Static slipped to the ever-loving ground, happy enough to hug it until his gyro-compensators stabilised. Catady had no such need and, reeling in her tail, transformed back into tall, elegant fem mode to check the current battlefield situation. She spotted Hot Rod approaching and challenging a 'bot who resembled Optimus Prime himself - Don't go there, remember last time.... - and Kingbolt defending himself bravely. No way was she going towards Bruticus, especially as he was so damaged, and Stepper was heading towards Transcan's position near the gorge, so that was covered. Forget Omega Supreme... and the flyers, most especially as Transmission was interviewing Cosmos right that very instant about possible 'friendly fire'.

Best placed to film and interview would be Kingbolt, then...

Transcan ran through Loop's catalogue of infamy with growing surprise: Started small, stealing Decepticon supplies (indicted by a Seeker called Drone) before moving through sundry larcency and grievous bodily harm cases, which finally resulted in him being sentenced to long-term imprisonment with his buddies Deadlock and Squarz. However, the sentence was significantly shortened on review and he had been, basically, discharged from military service, along with Squarz, who had since disappeared. Someone in Polyhex Command had recently filed a suspicion that Loop had fallen in with gangsters who were supplying narcotics to the troops.

'Transmission! Sorry to cut you off in mid-flow, but that heli is carrying a fake IFF transponder. His name is Loop and he's a bad, bad boy.'

2007-10-01, 07:42 PM
Transmission slipped the connection to Catady and watched her tail reel in

Static re actualised his optics and slowly levered himself off the ground.

His shoulder mounted dish swiveled scanning the airwaves.

He glanced round the battlefield

He nudged Catady gently

"That's Turnpike over there , we've definitely got space Mafia involvement .He's one of Black Shadow's main mechs."

Loop acknowledged Transcans report

"copy that , be careful out there T.S any record of known associates or links with the Space Mafia. Static ID'ed a big wheel in the Space Mafia a Turnpike.

Kludge and Frag dropped down beside the trailer and there damaged colleague who was pickinghimself offf the ground

Loop scowled

"Autobot reinforcements are here , didn't see who exactly but they brought frackin' Omega Supreme. I gave up the whole sacrifice my life fro a cause thing when I quit the Decepticons. Lets make Tracks. Kludge tow the container , Frag cover our rear and I'll provide air cover. This gorge is narrow enough that they'll be limited to only attacking in single file most of the time.

Transmission continued his interview with Cosmos

"so you say it's common knowledge that the Wreckers can be on occasion be a bit too keen. How do they cdompare say with the Dinobots?"

Kludge attached himself to the trailer and primed his excavator arm in catapult mode.

Frag started to scan the horizon to the rear while Loop stood atop the trailer and scanned the horizon to their front

2007-10-01, 08:59 PM
The gangsters did not happen to look up again, which was unfortunate in a way. Transcan had camera four on them from way above.

'Okes folks - we have Loop down there, with... lessee... this Polyhex database is massive... Frag. Yep, that's Frag. Con mech and small time thief; hah, he's moved up in the leagues, then! Got Kludge, too. Nothing much on him, just a few unproven shake-downs. Both have potential Space Mafia tags on record.

'Transmission, ol' buddy, do you want to ID and locate this lot to the Autobots? I'd looove to know what's in that trailer that's so important to everyone.'

2007-10-01, 10:54 PM
Frag scowled "so what went wrong."

Loop shook his head

"I don't know I was inches away from getting away with it when one of the new arrivals opened fire."

Kludge took up the strain

"maybe you made a mistake , next time i'll do the undercover work, I mean I was an Autobot when I was...."

"an engineer" the other two joined in

Kludge muttered to himself.

Loop scanned in front of them.

"it was a question of disguise not many combat engineer vehicles out there."

Kludge ground forward.

"anyway I reckon one of the new arrivals must know Scramble."

Transmission banked angling a camera towards Bruticus

"upload the files and i'll zip them across to Cosmos."

He opened a new com channel

"Cosmos, we've IDied your bandit Loop small to medium gangster, he's joined up with Kludge...no info available and Frag small time thug."

2007-10-02, 03:10 AM
Hot Rod: -takes a brief step back, then smiles- "Open to bribery, huh? Let's see, what do I have on me...... Hmmm.... I've got a shield.... Nah, you've got one of those." -hooks the shield onto his left arm- "Um..... Lightsaber?" -shakes head- "Nah. You don't look like the sword-wielding type." -clips it beneath his right arm- "Oh..... well.... this isn't good. Not good at all." -pulls a can out of subspace, blows the dust off of it- "All I've got left is this." -squinting at the label- "It's a can of.... hmm. Label's faded." -turning the can slowly- "Ah..... Ah, that's what this is. A can of whup skidplate." -scowling at Turnpike- "Want me to open it, slaghead?"

Holdup scowled. Not so much from pain(the Syk generally kept him in a semi-euphoric state), but from the fact that the 4500+ degree heat seemed to be melting his blunt trauma weapon. With an angry roar, he charged Kingbolt, swinging Jacknife's flaming corpse at the Autobot as he stabbed at the Autobot's abdomen with his knife.

Stepper: -leaping from Omega's hatch, using a zipline to drop down, releasing and hitting the ground, transforming to vehicle mode and taking off after Quickshot-

Omega: -dropping Roadbuster into the gorge-

Roadbuster: -landing, knees slightly bent, weapons at the ready-

2007-10-02, 08:04 AM
Cosmos would have smiled if he'd been in robot mode (well, he would have if his robot mode had a mouth, anyway).

"That's very useful," he told Transmission. "It always helps to know who you'll be putting on trail. Assuming the Wreckers leave enough for us to arrest, anyway. Comparing them to the Dinobots isn't quite fair, though. Grimlock and his buddies are just really keen for a fight all the time. The Wreckers...they're nuts. 'Course, there's times when we really need that special brand of crazy."

As he spoke, the flying saucer came into firing range of Pinstripe and fired a warning barrage at the road in front of the semi truck. "OK, buddy, the jig is up. Drop the trailer, drop your weapons and surrender. You're under arrest."

Pinstripe's only reply was to start accelerating, so Cosmos commed Overdrive. "Cut him off, would you? I don't want to blast him and risk damaging the supplies."

Whirl didn't show quite the same restraint. As soon as he was within firing range of Loop and his gang, he started spraying the area with null rays, incendiary shells and photon beams.

Kingbolt blocked the flaming corpse with his shield and parried Holdout's knife with the blade of his sword.

"Thine efforts be in vain, villain. Quit this place and thou may yet live. Continue with thine knavish attacks and the option doth be taken away."

"You'd better hope you're right,," Clampdown told Knok. "Because if this thing hurts any Autobots, I'll shoot you in the face."

With that, he fed Bruticus' coordinates to the satellite and signalled for a moderately powerful burst. He didn't want to vapourize the gestalt, but blowing it to pieces was just fine in his books. Assuming, of course, that this weapon worked as advertised.

"I don't know," he said truthfully, "but probably. If I see one, I'll call them over."

Turnpike laughed in Hot Rod's face.

"You don't intimidate me. But if you're willing to part with the lightsabre, I'd gladly shove it up your reactor linkage. Blade first."

As contemptuously as he could manage, the gangster raised his machine gun and aimed it at the Autobot's face.

"Last chance. Stand down and you get to live."

2007-10-02, 08:38 AM
Knok didn't doubt Clampdown's threat for a minute, which was why he instantly stalled the sequence, he didn't cancel it per such, but instead slowed it, so he couldn't be implicated. The stelite slowly began to orient itself.

'THat's funny given you were about to shoot them yourself,' he jabbed a finger at Bruticus, but more importantly at the very near Jetfire and Broadside.

'If they don't get out of the way there's a very good chance they're gonna be hit. Your problem, not mine.'

2007-10-02, 12:00 PM
Loops gang accelerated, Frag his Turret turned backwards fired white phosphourous shells at Roadbuster.

Loop waited for a targeting lock and then fired his missile pods at Whirl.

Kludge sent a flaming ball of napalm into the sky.

All three of them sent out clouds of flares and smoke.

Shells burst around them pelting them with rocks and splinters.

(ooc what does a null ray do ?)

Photon beams seared their armour .

Dislodged rocks fell from the side of the gorge bouncing off their armour.

Overdrive banked firing his nose cannon.

His shells ploughing a furrow in the roadbed in front of Pinstripe forming a narrow trench, he banked aiming to come back for a second pass.

Transmission continued his interview with Cosmos

"So you expect the Wreckers to terminate the criminals rather than detaining them, doesn't that limit their usefulness as a potential intelligence source, you can't interrogate a dead prisoner."

2007-10-02, 12:24 PM
Catady was running;not away from the fighting, but towards it, towards Kingbolt. With Static running alongside recording her disjointed commentary on the general melee all around. The noise was incredible, the ground shaking, tiny phosphor sparks cascading from the sky. They were live on-air and the CBC had the feed going out on nineteen separate channels.

At the gorge, Transcan snapped out of his hack and tried to haul camera four out of the way of a flaming mass of napalm. It was probably aimed at Cosmos or Jetfire, but its edge engulfed the camera and seared the tape holding the electronics together. Amid a rain of semi-slagged parts, Transcan fell.

2007-10-03, 11:11 AM
Static jogged along after Catady his camera tracking to wherever the action was. His boom mike extended picking uup every sound.

Missiles whooshed thourgh the air and the clash of steel agains steel rang in his audio sensors.

Transmission was worried. He'd lost the feed from CD 4 and it even in its battered state it would take a lot to disable an armoured camera drone.

"Transcan are you recieving me please respond Transcan.??"

2007-10-03, 07:49 PM
I'm small. I'm light. I'm cool.... Transcan held down the panic and his processors worked serious overtime calculating his chances. Unfortunately, from this height, they weren't good. He heard Transmission; ignored him. He could see a cable dangling from the remains of the bridge and focussed on it, energising his magnetics system. Reaching out, he yelled incoherently, painfully expending a massive amount of power.

Transcan's hands found the cable as he was pulled towards it and he hung on desperately, his downwards momentum carrying him almost to its dangerously frayed end. Swinging above the drop was, though, preferable to completing it.

'Transmission,' he radioed, cocky through force of habit rather than because he felt it at that moment. 'You worry too much. Heh - sorry about camera four, but one of them slaggers napalmed it a bit.'

2007-10-03, 08:30 PM
Transmission replied to Transcan

" I don't suppose our insurance will cover it, i'll send no.13 over
to fetch , try and look after this one ok."

His gruff cynical tone belied his relief that the micromaster had survived relatively unscathed.

2007-10-04, 05:13 AM
Jetfire: -still moving backwards, away from Bruticus while keeping the damaged gestalt in his sights as he zigsags back and forth- "I back up much farther, Broadside, and I won't be able to hit him-" -picking up the satellite's telemetry- "Get out of there yourself! Something in orbit's about to blast that location!" -boosting up into the air, transforming to fighter mode, engines flaring as he kicks in his afterburners-

Holdup roared, attempting to headbutt Kingbolt.

Roadbuster: -diving, coming up on one knee, firing at the retreating
Frag with his linear blaster cannon, rapid fire assualt rifle(firing armor piercing high explosive rounds), and his shoulder mounted shrapnel cannon-

Quickshot's engine roared as he accellerated, cutting hard left and right as shells from Stepper's Blaze Cannon slammed into the ground near him, cackling like a madman.

Stepper: -pushing his engine to the limit, trying to keep up-

Hot Rod: "Nah. I've got better uses for it. I gave you a chance, and you turned it down. Nobody can say I'm not fair." -suddenly diving to the right, bringing the shield up to protect his face as he fires his right arm photon cannons at Turnpike's left leg-

2007-10-04, 07:26 AM
"Well, that's not entirely true," Cosmos told Transmission. "It's usually true that dead mechs tell no tales, but I've seen useful intel pulled from the memory chips of a corpse before. It's waaaay outside standard operating procedure, but it's not quite illegal. I doubt the Space Mafia situation is desperate enough to warrant extreme measures like that, though."

In front of him, Pinstripe stomped his brakes to avoid Overdrive's blast, tried to turn around it, and jackknifed. Which, given who he'd stolen his trailer from, Cosmos found quite ironic.

"Put away the guns!" the mobster shouted. "I've been beat up enough already today. I give!"

Disconnecting from his pilfered trailer, the smallish Transformer transformed and raised his hands.

"One in the bag," Cosmos sent to Hot Rod over a secure, non media monitored (he hoped) channel.

Clampdown scowled. He was a police officer, not a weapons officer!

"You know what?" he told Knok, his voice a bit harsher than he'd intended. "You do it! It's your equipment."

Flipping his comlink over to the Autobot tactical frequency, he shouted, "Broadside, Jetfire, clear out! We're gonna use the big guns!"

(OOC: A null ray freezes machinery. They've never bothered to explain how, of course...:) )

Whirl fired his paralyzo box at Loop's missiles, freezing them in a stasis field until he was past their exploding range.

"Seriously, guys," he shouted to the escaping criminals, "where do you think you're going? Stand down or I'll get Omega to step on you." Holding his fire for the moment, he added, "Autobot jails are a lot nicer than the scrapyard."

Kingbolt took Holdup's headbutt full in the face, but the courtly Autobot didn't even seem to notice. As if part of a choreographed dance, he let the blow propel him backward a few steps, then planted his feet and tried to smite the gangster with his shield.

Turnpike ignored the significant damage that Hot Rod's blast did to his knee servos, launched himself forward and tried to pistol whip the Autobot's shield out of his hands with his machine gun. At the same time, he fired his disruptor at Hot Rod's feet.

"Bad move, whelp!"

2007-10-04, 07:52 AM
'Roger that,' Broadside transformed into jet mode. Lacking afterburners he simply gunned it as he shot off away from Bruticus. Once he'd reached a reasonable distance he spun and waited.
'Alright, I will,' Knok huffed again. The sattelite said both autobots were out of the area, so he let the firing sequence run.
'Hold on to your optics,' he crossed his arms, confident that nothing could go wrong.
Bruticus registered the telemetry data just after the autobots disppeared. The intelligent inside armed a failsafe explosive. A thin beam from the sky melted through his hip armour, and that wasn't the real burst. His sensors felt the energy discharge as the sattelite fired.

Bruticus let go off his gun, and his whole right arm fell off and transformed into shuttle mode before jetting off. Moments later the failsafe blew, just before the blast hit. The main body was almost vapourised and the shockwave was easily enough to reach the road.
Broadside was forced to land, lest the shockwave knock him out of the air. Landing hard his armour was hit by debris several times, but he was otherwise fine.
The shockwave launched Knok into the air.
'Arrrrrr! Help me!,' the diminutive autobot cried as his feet left the ground.

2007-10-04, 12:43 PM
"My lucky number," Transcan murmured, climbing aboard camera 13 and clamping himself in place, which took a lot of what he had left in his batteries. He was too exhausted to do more than order the remote up and out of the gorge, but you would never guess it from his message to Transmission: 'Yeah and I love you too, gorgeous!'

On the battlefield, Catady was lying low and discribing Kingbolt's heroic actions when she picked up the first stab of energy that struck Bruticus. With a cry, she wheeled and shielded her optics, shouting, "Static! Static get that!"

2007-10-04, 03:19 PM
Static swiveled as he heard catady's cry the subsequent shockwave bowled him over but the gimbal mounted camera whirred and continued to keep Bruticus in shot.

He struggled to keep his feet out of shot as the consumate professional he kept the camera rolling.

Frag ground to a halt a a shell severed a track linkage.
he rolled forward leaving the track like a broken snake behind him. His armour shattered and pocked.

"He's right get out of here I'll cover your afts."

Frag fired his petard at the advancing Roadbuster

Loop fired at the side of the canyon hoping to bring it down and block Roadbuster's advance.

"Your half right lets split no cargo is worth this much.

Kludge swung across the canyon jamming the trailer across it's width.

Loop swooped down on Frag's position.

"go go Kludge I'll rescue Frag."

Kludge sent a last ball of napalm in Whirls direction before speeding off down the canyon floor.

Transmission signaled Transcan

"I'll leave the door open for you lil buddy."

He continued interviewing Cosmos

"Do you think this raid has got anything to do with the recent gang warfare in Iacon? What plans have the security forces for curtailing criminal activity? Are they planning to co operate with the Cons to stop these Criminals using borders to escape justice and maniplate the legal system."

2007-10-05, 02:39 AM
Omega Supreme: -landing on a pillar of fire, track deploying and his tank rumbling out, turret swiveling while looking for targets as his main hatch opens, the boarding ramp descending-

Minerva: -looks over at Hound and Dirge- "Looks like it's just you guys, me, and Gigantor here. Think we'll need to set up a field hospital?"

Hot Rod: -wincing as the disruptor blast hit his feet, turned partially around by Turnpike's blow, looking up at the larger mobster as his right arm comes around, firing his right arm photon cannons at Turnpike's abdomen-

Roadbuster: -optic band narrowing as the rubble collapses in front of him, slinging and holstering his guns, starts pulling grenades out of the clip on his leg, priming them, and pushing them into the rubble-

Aero Blade

"Probably," Hound answered to Minerva as he evaluated their current location. "As much fighting has gone on already, there's no doubt there will be some casualties."

"And having a hospital location will attract Decepticons," Dirge spoke as he had his own bit of looking around. "Anyone looking for easy targets will show up. You'll likely need guards."

"A role we should be able to handle without too much trouble," Spike added.

2007-10-05, 04:50 PM
"...Bruticus might be finished, but Blast Off has escaped," Catady shouted into the camera as the noise and motion of continued fighting filled the background to the shot Static was maintaining. "Omega Supreme has finally landed - I can see figures descending the ramp now. Hot Rod and Kingbolt are holding their ground, and there are several other equally bitter scurmishes. The dead and damaged litter the roadway."

She cut over to Transcan on their internal channel. 'What's happening to the truck?'

'I've still got cameras five and eleven online near the gorge,' Transcan answered, steering his particular transport towards Transmission's welcoming open door. 'Transmission, you wanna pull off the pics and feed to Static to headsup?'

2007-10-05, 06:52 PM
" Roger that Transcan uploading pics now, looks like they're at it hammer and tongs, gonna have some great footage."

Transmission banked curling towards Transcan's position.

"live feed from the gorge Static connecting now..."

Static picked himself up gingerly. He panned his camera from Omega Supreme's towards Hot Rod and Kingbolt.

"got it , looking good, wanna do the V.O. Cat or want to leave it to Anchor back at the studio."

Transmission reviewed the footage from the camera drones

"Looks like we got an interception of one of the criminals, got a mobster with his hands up. I'm queuing the footage now."

2007-10-05, 08:52 PM
'Since I'm here, I'll keep the Hot Rod and Kingbolt scenarios. Can you patch the gangland streams to the studio for rework, Static? Tell them to get the backstory ready,' Catady replied. 'I don't think it'd be wise to broadcast live their taking a Space Mafia goon into custody.'

She paused and added coolly, 'Only Airplay would be that stupid.'

2007-10-05, 10:17 PM
Static nodded his satelite dish tracking till he got a fix on a Satelite.

"Done and dusted Cat pics are winging there way through the ether."

His vision clouded as he conducted a coversation with the studio.

He turned to Catady

" Spike is going to do some research pull some background on the mobsters and Anchor and Gravitas are going to run it on the next Newscast as an in depth story.
Bad news is Airplay's snaffled the Wreckers follow up. Ferret and Weasel is doing her research. good news is if theres any comeback from the Wreckers, it'll head her way plus Transmission's got the live feed, we've been okayed for him to keep on with the on site stuff. Airplays going to be stuck with rehashing old history."

2007-10-06, 05:08 AM
Cosmos replied to Transmission as he hovered above the now-surrendered Pinstripe.

"Oh, I wouldn't know anything about that," he told the reporter. "I'm a long-haul survey and recon expert, after all, so I spend 90% of my time parsecs away from here. I usually don't have much to do with security matters. The only reason I'm here now is because I got called up while I was in Iacon burning up some of my shore leave time."

Clampdown blatantly ignored Knok's plight and charged forward, heading toward the remains of the demolished enemy gestalt instead. The shockwave knocked him off his feet, but he just smoothly transformed to vehicle mode and carried on.

Whirl caught the napalm on his rotors, and for a moment it looked like the Wrecker was surrounded by a nimbus of flame. However, it quickly spread out on currents of air, and he shot through unscathed. As if in celebration, he fired off a stream of null rays, photon beams and incendiary shells at Loop while ululating wildly.

Turnpike ignored the damage that Hot Rod's blasts caused to his torso armour. It hurt, of course, but the big gangster couldn't be bothered to acknowledge it when there was someone in front of him who needed to be knocked into line.

"It's about time someone bashed some sense into you!"

That said, he attempted to use the butt of his machine gun to do just that.

2007-10-06, 07:47 AM
Loop staggered under the onslaught sparks flying from his armour and great gouges of metal and shrapnel flying from his frame.

He returned fire at Whirl with his sending his own steam of incendinary shells from his nose gun , beams from his skid lasers and a salvo from his rocket pods and missile launchers.

He jettisoned Frag who he had been about to airlift Frag landed on the trailer top transforming as he did so doing a forward roll to the ground and started running after Kludge.

2007-10-08, 04:25 AM
Hot Rod: -on his back on the ground, blocking the blow with his shield, the force of the blow enough to rip it from his arm- "Better than you have tried. I'm still here. They're not." -opening his right hand, the lightsaber snapped into his hand, his hand closing around the hilt and activating the activator stud, the red-orange blade whining to life, stabbing it at Turnpike's abdomen- "Wanna bet you won't fare any better?"

Quickshot skidded around as he screamed by Dice's body, transforming rapidly and grabbing up the dead Autobot's photon blaster and spinning around, aiming at the charging Stepper.

Stepper: -transforming to robot mode, Blaze Cannon locking into position on his shoulder, tracking and firing at Quickshot, plasma pulse blasters in his hands-

Quickshot dodged to the side and switched targets, blasting away at the shells coming towards him, snapping off one extra shot at.....

Stepper: -winces as the last shot zings in, grazing his face and blasting through the center of the connector strut, the feed from the targeting sensors going dead, the servo linkage fusing solid-

Nebulon: -giving a muffled(thanks to his cannon mode) electronic scream-

Quickshot laughed like a maniac. "Can't let you have an advantage, Steps!"

Roadbuster: -fires a grenade into the mass of grenades he'd stuffed into the rubble blocking his way, staying down as the explosion obliterates the barricade, transforms to vehicle mode and buring rubber through the gap before it caves in again-

2007-10-08, 09:11 AM
Knok hit the ground a distance away. He was about to return and give Clampdown a piece of his mind when an urgent call from Skar came through.

Hurry up! We can't afford to waste time, grovel if you have to, if Doubledealer dies therego both our paychecks

The thought of lost money jolted him as he ran back to Clampdown. The autobot was their only ticket out of Tygun Span with payment.
Broadside shrugged off the debris. Therewas not much left of the giant gestalt. Battles still raged but there was no way to discern the hotspots from his view.

Settling up his mind, he flew after Whirl, radioing,
'Whirl, I'm bored, got any choice targets to share?'

2007-10-08, 12:49 PM
"Airplay's gonna get it in the skidplate f'sure this time," Transcan said and burped quite spectacularly for such a small unit. He had slugged down some of the team's emergency energon and was taking the opportunity to check his scorched armour. "Even I wouldn't pour used engine oil over their rep - even if it is a bad rep..."

He glanced at the recording feeds. Catady was talking to camera again, describing of Hot Rod's magnificent fighting skills to the viewers. The Micromaster sniggered. "Hey, Transmission! Cat's all hot on Rod again!"

2007-10-08, 06:49 PM
Transmission banks zooming a camera in on Stepper and Quickshot's battle.

He coms Cosmos " I'll have to put you in touch with our features editor some time, we could do a piece Cosmos Galactic explorer."

Transmission scans the incoming footage of Catady while talking to Transcan.

"Couldn't happen to a nicer femme she's been looking for trouble for vorns."

He turns back to the footage

"she does have a soft spot for him don't she , thank Primus it's not Hot Rods rep Airplay is planning to slag off otherwise sparks would fly."

Scoop knelt and steadied his weapon and squeezed off a shot at Runaround.

2007-10-10, 06:35 AM
"Oh, I don't know about that," Cosmos replied modestly to Transmission. "I never thought my job was all that glamorous or exciting."

Whirl took a few hits to the fuselage, but managed to scrape through with nothing but a few new dents and carbon scores to show for it.

"Trailer #2 recovered," he commed to Hot Rod as his course took him past the now-abandoned semi trailer. He fired another round at the fleeing gangsters, but more to convince them that coming back wasn't an option than anything else. He would have liked nothing more than to kill them, but if some more thugs decided to lift the shipment while he was off playing he'd never hear the end of it.

"We've got to stay close and protect the trailer," he told Broadside. "You could chase off after the thugs I was chasing and drop down on top of them in aircraft carrier mode if you'd like, but they're running off."

Clampdown turned to look at Knok as he ran up. "What?" he asked, rather rudely.

Hot Rod's blade impaled Turnpike straight through the guts. The gangster hardly seemed to notice, throwing himself toward the young Autobot and severely mangling his innards in the process.

2007-10-10, 11:24 PM
Knok scurried up to Clampdown, 'I'm making sure you keep your side of this deal. Until Doubledealer gets help I'll be on you like rust spots on a Junkion.' Not to be out done, the little autobot had a condescending tone.
'It's tempting, but I might dent something, they're running anyway, and there's plenty around here.' Broadside shot over the convoy, looking at the various fights. His sensors locked on Quickshot

Pivoting on a wing, he turned, Quickshot and Stepper were too close to shoot at in jet mode. Instead he swooped down low, coming from behind Stepper, intent on transforming and tackling the smaller Quickshot.

2007-10-12, 03:59 AM
Hot Rod: -activating his commlink as his left hand retracts and his energo-saw slides out, spinning up to speed and slashing at the falling Turnpike's face- "Great job, Whirl! Think we can capture one of these idiots and find out who they work for?" -fighting off the urge to fire his right arm photon cannons into the mobster's abdomen, not wanting to risk blowing his hand off-

Quickshot scowled slightly. "Can't even face me alone, huh, Steps? Gotta bring in more friends?" Raising his stolen gun, he fired a brace of shots at Broadside's intakes, keeping up his fire at Stepper with the other gun.

Stepper: -dove, hitting the ground to duck under Quickshot's barrage and Broadside's attack run, tone indicating that he was on the ragged edge of losing his temper- "Broadside, this is MY fight! Get out of here!! NOW!!!!!!!!"

Holdup staggered, his head on fire(literaly), charging at Kingbolt.

Roadbuster: -comes up to the trailer in the gorge at a jog- "How far ahead are they, Whirl?"

Omega Supreme:

Minerva: "If anybody's nuts enough to take us on with Omega backing us up, I'd like to see it." -looks over at Hound and Dirge- "For now, you two are on bed duty. Get the area cleared so we can set up the biobeds. Spike, keep an eye out."

2007-10-12, 04:36 AM
Whirl twisted in the direction of the escaping criminals and focused his sensors on them. "Three of them are getting away, but one is just...well...sitting there, I suppose. Probably playing possum, Hot Rod. We should be able to snatch him up, no problem."

Flipping over to Roadbuster's channel, he said, "The nearest is about 500 yards east of you, and not going anywhere. Roddy wants him captured. No fun, I know, but you know...it's his show, and all that. Think you and Scoop can nab him?"

Clampdown fingered his automatic carbine as if contemplating gunning down Knok so he'd shut up. But finally, the police officer activated his comlink.

"Minerva, we've got a downed hostile in grid fourteen. Patch him up if you can, but keep him sedated until Hot Rod decides what to do with him."

Kingbolt took up a jousting stance and ran to meet Holdup's charge, sword aimed point-first at the gangster's chest.

2007-10-12, 11:19 AM
(ooc Gnarl is actually over towards Holdup and Kingbolt having seen Omega arriving and took a dive when Holdup shot at him)

Static zoomed out from Turnpike as Catady commentated

"Nasty very nasty although a nice bit of footage. Hot rod in action always boosts the ratings although the last bit was probably overkill."

Loop , Kludge and Frag kept running.

Kludge glanced towards Loop

"wheres Gnarl?"

Loop glanced back

"He was with the Autobot security detachment when I made my bid with the cargo trailer, I haven't seen him since."

Frag glared at the Wreckers "maybe i should send some rounds there way."

Loop shook his head

"just keep running , they've stopped chasing us let not test our luck. "

Kludge weaved round a rock

"Poor Gnarl let's hope he's ok."

Frag nodded

"yeah whos going to carry all our loot now ."

2007-10-12, 12:08 PM
Hot Rod in action always boosted the ratings...

Boosted her main pump and thermodyne, too...

Catady had managed to get just an occasional word off the big, red warrior until that time when he had been relaxed enough to talk about his Earth exploits. She had been lucky to get the interview and spolied it by coming over as gushy. Primus, she had really embarrassed herself that day! But she had learned a lot since then. Her commentary on his fight was passionate, but she kept it practical. Signalling to Static, she changed her attention to Kingbolt, whose battle was of epic proportions and terribly dramatic.

Transcan sat aboard Transmission and continued to review the multi-stream footage with the action in the gorge as his main interest. Whatever else happened there, the news they already had was going to be award-winning material. He grinned happily at the thought of Airplay stuck back in the city.

2007-10-12, 12:27 PM
(OOC I'm really lost for someone to fight soz, any suggestions?)

Quickshot's fire forced Broadside to breakoff of the swoop or risk painful damage to his engines, banking up and away, he commed to Stepper,

'Doesn't look it from here, of course, I might have miscounted the number of dents in your armour, it's really hard to tell.'
Knok nodded his thanks to Clampdown, but hung near, just incase it wa a ruse.

Skar, look up someone called Minerva, apparently he's the medic

Skar was relieved, the internal damage was difficult to assess, but if he left Doubledealer would return to truck mode, and he wasn't sure that was a good thing.

He broadcast a strong signal so the medic could find them, Autobot Minerva, I'm Skar, please follow this signal, doubledealer has suffered extensive damage.'

2007-10-14, 03:55 AM
(OOC: Kingbolt could probably use a hand.)

Quickshot twirled his blasters idly, watching his old rival lurch to his feet.

Stepper: -growling into his commlink to Broadside- "This is an old debt. One I'm paying by myself." -deactivating commlink-

Quickshot chuckled as he advanced. "Just can't forgive me for saving your life, can you."

Stepper: -scowling as he started forward- "You're the one who put it in danger in the first place!"

Quickshot shrugged as he broke into a loping, ground eating run, charging towards Stepper. "You could have come with me, Steps! Made lots of money! There's no justice but that which WE deliver! The justice of the GUN!"

Stepper started his own charge forward, face set in a determined scowl. "That's where you're wrong. We serve justice. Justice does not serve us."

Quickshot simply laughed, a maniacal, evil sound even as he viciously swung his blaster, the blades on the sides of the barrel glinting evily in the light.

Stepper blocked, sparks flying as Quickshot's blaster pistol clanged against Stepper's plasma pulse blaster. Swinging his other blaster in a vicious arc, he tried to butt-stroke the gun across Quickshot's head.

Quickshot blocked, his stolen pistol crumpling slightly under the impact, snapping his knee into Stepper's midsection.

Stepper grunted, staggering backwards, blocking blow after blow, lashing out again and again, the two gunslingers battering away at each other, Stepper's visor cracking and partially shattering, Quickshot's face leaking oil from a particularly nasty backhanded swipe, the two combatants finally seperated after Quickshot's foot slammed into Stepper's midsection, the battered Wrecker flying backwards, taking Quickshot's blaster pistol with him, hitting the ground hard enough to dislodge the pistol from his door, the pistol clattering away across the ground.

Quickshot, chuckling painfully, his right hand clutching the stolen pistol, his left clamped across a tear in his torso armor.

Stepper: -groaning-

Quickshot wheezed, "Always was.... better at.... infighting."

Stepper: -sitting up, right hand empty, twitching slightly, sparks hissing from a torn open section of his forearm- "That's because..... you cheat."

Quickshot winced when he shrugged. "Difference between the quick and the dead, Steps. I'm quick. And you're dead." In a flash, he brought the stolen pistol up finger starting to tighten on the trigger, aiming at Stepper's head.

Stepper: -gun in his left had already aimed, pulling the trigger, plasma pulse bolt screaming from the barrel of his pistol.... and straight down the barrel of Quickshot's stolen blaster-

Quickshot screamed when the pistol exploded in his hand, ripping his hand and forearm open, mangling the sensitive myomer bundles, reducing his hand and wrist and part of his forearm to a twisted, blackened lump of metal. He dropped to his knees, cradling the smoking stump of his arm, half sobbing, half screaming.

Stepper: -lurching to his feet, keeping his left hand(and the plasma pulse blaster it holds) aimed at Quickshot- "That's what you forgot. You're Quick. I'm quicker."

Quickshot howled, springing for his blaster, grabbing it as shots from Stepper's pistol tore chunks out of his right leg. "And I fight dirty!"

Stepper: -staggering and falling as the blast tore through his left knee servoactuator and myomer control circuitry, toppling as he lost all control and feeling in his lower left leg, tossing his gun up and catching it in his right hand just as a second blast from Quickshot shears the barrel off of the blaster before blowing the tire off of his right shoulder-

Quickshot transformed, engine screaming as he roared away. "THIS ISN'T OVER, STEPS! I'LL KILL YOU! I SWEAR IT!!!"

Stepper: -dragging himself over to his other plasma pulse blaster, checking it, then holstering it and laying back- "That's what you said last time, Quick......."

Omega Supreme:

Minerva: "Looks like we've got a customer. "Want to come along, Hound?" -locking onto Skar's signal, she activated her commlink- "I'm picking up your signal, Skar. I'll be there shortly." -she slammed into gear and headed out-

Roadbuster: "I was hoping for somebody to just shoot, really." -he activated his commlink- "Scoop, you read me?"

2007-10-14, 05:06 AM
Turnpike's faceplate was sliced open by Hot Rod's buzzsaw and the Autobot's lightsabre cut a deep gouge in his torso as the gangster collapsed to the ground. The energy blade finally exited out the criminal's back, nearly bisecting him.

As he lay on the ground, his vital fluids drained out onto the pavement.

2007-10-14, 06:17 AM
Scoop replied to Roadbuster

"Reading you loud and clear."

2007-10-14, 08:59 PM
It was a drama to behold: Kingbolt fought on and on, flames around him, his enemy a blazing figure seemingly unstoppable and unrelenting.

Catady's situation assessment skills, of such value when she used to assist spies into enemy territory, informed her that the Autobot hero was starting to flag, that his life was in great danger. The news commentary died in her vocaliser and she flashed Static a rapid glance, her right hand making the imperative 'cut-cut-cut' signal out of shot.

'Get some general shots of the field up, Transcan,' she radioed. 'Transmission, take over the talking.'

Opening another channel, she sent out an emergency call on the standard IFF frequency: 'This is Catady of the CBC. We have a situation - Kingbolt needs help as of right NOW! I'm moving over, but there's not a lot an unarmed newsbot can do...'

Aero Blade
2007-10-15, 10:41 AM
"Don't think I have much of a choice. Can't let anyone go it alone with everything that's happened out here," Hound responded to Minerva, immediately transforming and taking off after here.

Dirge and Spike meanwhile stayed behind, making things ready for when the others would arrive back.

2007-10-15, 01:04 PM
'As if you have to worry about anything while I'm here,' Broadside responded to Catady when he heard her call. Checking his position, Kingbolt was up ahead. He flared his engines once to pick up the speed.

Gonna be on the News, might as well make it look good

He waited until he was close before making his move, a trick he'd picked up from Jetfire. While still in the air he transformed, bring one leg out in front in a kick.

'Kingbolt, please step back a little.'

His feet engines flared, both slowing him down and sending a plume of plasma exhaust at Holdup

Skar flipped off the Comm, but left a beacon for Minerva and Hound

Knok, you can return, medics are coming

Without saying a word, Knok turned and began to run back to the building Doubledealer had crashed in.

2007-10-17, 06:47 AM
"Nae, fair maiden," Kingbolt transmitted to Catady, just a note of pride in his voice. "I assure ye that the danger is purely to the fiend with whom I do battle. I-ah!" The exclamation came as Broadside came in, plasma shooting at Holdup.

"I praise ye for the assistance," he told the other Autobot as he dove aside, "but alas the villain already be ablaze. What form of infernal creature this be that we face, I know not. But I daresay we must employ the greatest of force if we doth desire his defeat."

As he spoke, the knightly Autobot's rocket launcher flipped into place and he shot an explosive shell at the blazing criminal's head.

2007-10-17, 09:51 PM
Static switched shots from a close up of Broadside in action in all his glory to a zoom in to Kingbolt before panning across to the unfortuante Holdup.

"Getting a lot of excellent footage here Cat , how about an interview with Kingbolt , viewers will love his style."

2007-10-17, 10:38 PM
"Planning on same," Catady assured Static with a huge grin. "Any 'bot who calls me a 'fair maiden' in the middle of a drop-down slag-out gets major interview space, believe me!"

She could also see some milage in Broadside's dramatic charge.

'Transcan,' she called. 'Get me information on the terminally insane guy Kingbolt is fighting, uh?'

Flicking camera twelve round a way behind Kingbolt, Transcan complied almost instantly. 'That's Holdup - criminal tendencies going back absolute ages. Anger management issues, if you get my meaning. Recent information about him being a Space Mafia op. That do for starters - or, in this case, enders?'

2007-10-18, 12:52 AM
'The purpose,' Broadside offered as he landed infront of Kingbolt, towering above the smaller bot 'is more for my insulation, don't want the paint to melt when I kick him.'

He summoned his Vibroaxe from subspace, the blade began to hum as the vibrogenerator powered.

'As for force, that's what this is for,' he glanced at the lance the autobot held, 'up for a little joust?'
Knok reached the building at the sametime as Minerva and Hound

'Hurry up!' he squeaked as he ran inside. Doubledealer sat there in falcon mode, his armour severely dented and melt, one wing almost snapped. Skar turned the falcon's head to look at the three.
'I am fine, but Doubledealer is damaged, he's offline right now. I fear if I detach the transformation would only worsen the damage.

2007-10-18, 06:20 AM
"Thou art a mechanism after mine own fuel pump," Kingbolt told Broadside. "I shalt taketh thou up on thine offer."

Bringing the hilt of his sword down into the pit of his stomach, he dropped into a running stance and prepared to charge at Holdup.

"Art thou prepared for thine own part?" he asked the Wrecker.

2007-10-19, 01:53 AM
Broadside couldn't grin, but if he could he would. Matching Kingbolt's language he went on, 'Methinks thou not lack for courage, but thy foe,' he stopped to laugh for a moment,' thy foe is durable, thou needs a steed.'

His engines whinned as he went back to jet mode, sitting next to the bot. 'Be prepare for a quick dismount, after the first charge it's my turn. Now as Ironhide always says, 'saddle up'.'

Aero Blade
2007-10-19, 02:14 AM
Hound immediately transformed and followed Knok, heading up to the injured bots to investigate the situation. He was looking to see if there ws anything he might be able to do, but he waited for Minerva to make the decision, since she was the qualified medic.

"Best just stay as you are until you've been looked over," Hound advised to Skar. "Last thing we want to do is make it any worse if you think that'll happen."

2007-10-19, 03:10 AM
Minerva: -skidding to a halt, transforms to robot mode, pulling out a medscanner, starts to scan Doubledealer- "So what happened? You guys run afoul of Bruticus or something?"

Hot Rod: -pulling his lightsaber from Turnpike's abdomen, wincing as he gets to his feet- "Ow. My feet are all tingly...." -looks down, seeing the damage that Turnpike's blast did to his lower legs and feet, wincing as he takes an experimental step, deactivating his lightsaber, saw spooling down and retracting, left hand sliding back out, aiming his double barrel right arm photon cannons at Turnpike's head- "So what do you want? Tell me what I want to know, or get to feel me blowing small pieces off of you until you either talk or can do nothing but scream?" -scowls- "I might do that anyway. You shot me in the feet."

Roadbuster: -climbing out of the gorge, seeing Gnarl in the distance- "Got somebody to capture. Maybe we can find out who orchastrated this mess. Home in on my signal." -starts towards Gnarl-

Holdup- on fire, in pain, and having no idea what Kingbolt is saying- charges towards the two Autobots, bellowing incomprehensively.

2007-10-19, 07:20 AM
"Thou mockest mine speech, knave, but thou art valorous nonetheless." Kingbolt climbed aboard Broadside, readied his sword and prepared to attack the charging Holdup. "We shall strike down our foe."

With the bottom half of his face sliced open and his torso nearly bisected, Turnpike was in no condition to answer Hot Rod. At least, not verbally. He did, however, heft up his machine gun in both hands, trying to answer the Autobot with the resultant hail of poorly-aimed bullets.

2007-10-19, 12:47 PM
'Now that,' exclaimed Transcan. 'Is totally fraggin' awesome!'

'That's television,'Catady agreed. Kingbolt sat astride Broadside's back, sword at the ready, and the pair were clearly preparing to engage the fiery Holdup one final time. Static was right beside her, camera up and recording every glorious astrosecond.

'The station oughta run those old Earther King Arthur movies again,' Transcan said. 'Bringing camera twelve in for close-ups, and I got nine and seven at wide-angle points.'

Catady activated her communications gear, called Tranismission to get an open stream, and began her commentry: "This is surely one of the most dramatic fights..."

2007-10-20, 09:21 AM
Broadside waited until Kingbolt was secure then took off, engines flaring as they struggled to move both bots. He angled for a run, using his pulse blasters to fire either side of Holdup, keeping the decepticon in a narrow lane of calm.

Broadside inverted, flying upsidedown to give Kingbolt the best shot as he streaked at Holdup.

'I do not require conversation, please focus on Doubledealer,' Skar told Minerva, 'please let me know when it is safe to disengage from engine slot.'

Knok stood next to Minerva, silently watching the whole thing.

2007-10-21, 04:49 AM
Kingbolt tightened his legs around Broadside's fuselage, valiantly trying to keep from falling as the other Autobot inverted. As they streaked past Holdup he jabbed his sword at the thug's neck, but they were past far too quickly for him to see if he'd hit or not.

His job done, he dropped from the flying Autobot and hit the ground as gracefully as he could manage.

2007-10-21, 08:22 AM
Static focused on the fight as it unfolded filming it all, getting every detail.

Transmission finished talking to the studio

He commed Catady

"I've cleared it for you , you're going out live."

He circled his side mounted cameras getting longshots of the fight between Kingbolt and Broadside and Kingbolt.

Transmission chatted with Transcan

"yup some of those were good but I didn't really get that one with all the singing and the coconut shells , it must have been a human thing."

2007-10-21, 08:55 PM
Transcan laughed: no, a lot of Transformers hadn't quite got that particular version. He had had some fun going round for cycles crying 'Ni!' at everyone, until the threat of The Locker loomed large enough to quell his enthusiasm. Concentrating again on the field camera displays, he said to Transmission, "Turnpike is down. Ah, there's a thought! He won't be managing The Black Nova again, so there's going to be some interesting times a-coming up in Polyhex! Not that he'll be missed, mind, if everything I've scanned about him is true."

The Micromaster paused and his next sentence was whispered grimly: 'But Black Shadow is liable to be... angry.'

2007-10-23, 05:46 AM
Hot Rod: -stumbling to the side to avoid the barrage, instinctively returns fire, his right arm photon cannons blasting at Turnpike's head-

Holdup, still on fire, kept going forward before collapsing to the ground, his head bouncing away, the last clear thought in his mind that he ws just a pawn in the game of life.....

2007-10-23, 08:57 PM
Scoop tuned in to Roadbuster's signal

"gotcha homing in now."

Transmission monitored the incoming feeds

"Yeah it's going to be interesting looks like Black Shadow is gonna lose one of his top teams, which means chaos and gang warfare in Polyhex."

2007-10-23, 09:28 PM
Transcan had a good shot of the decapitation on camera twelve, the cranial unit arcing high to almost fill the lens. "Uh-oh, better keep that back from prime-time broadcasting," he called to Transmission. "We don't wanna get accused of glorifying...

Quickly, he cut to his wider shots and picked up Kingbolt dropping, possibly not without a few dents, from Broadside's back. Over the online channel, he could hear Catady commenting on the final moment of the fight and radioed, 'Yo, Catady! Get your shiny rear over there - your knight errant awaits you!'

'Don't worry, Transcan - until we meet up again. We're on it,' Catady shot back. She looked at Static and, already beginning to move towards Kingbolt, said, "This is an opportunity..."

"Let me know if there's anything I can do, Minerva," Hound spoke to the medic, taking his attention off of Skar, Knok, and Doubledealer in favor of keeping watch. If anything was going to happen, likely it'd be while Minerva was working, and he wanted to be sure to be ready for it.

2007-10-24, 04:15 AM
A short time ago, above the battlefield.......

There were times, Jetfire mused, that something an Earth admiral by the name of Hunter(if he remembered the name correctly) said seemed to hold especially true for him. "People always talk about pushing the envelope. What they forget is that it's the same corner where the envelope gets stamped and cancelled." And right now was definately one of those stamped, cancelled, filed, and put it away in a little box moments. He'd figured the boosters might go offline, what with being experimental and all. He'd even contemplated the fact that the new weapons would go offline.

And he'd dreaded the inertialess drive units going offline.

So, he mused to himself as he plunged towards the ground(nose first, boosters online, weapons offline, engines online, engines and boosters at full burn, transform circuits jammed by the feedback from the boosters that had scrambled practically everything else), that if nothing else, at least the inertialess units were working fine.

Still and all, if he really had to play lawn dart, he'd have rather done it on Earth. At least dirt was more yielding than Cybertron's metal surface........

Stepper: -having lurched to his feet(thanks to the piece of wreckage he's using as a cane), sent flying when Jetfire slams into the ground behind him-

Roadbuster: -coming up behind Gnarl, aiming his guns at the downed Cybertronian-

Minerva: -working on Doubledealer-

2007-10-24, 05:27 AM
Kingbolt strode toward Holdup's corpse and dropped to one knee beside it. Then he made an arcane religious gesture and whispered a short prayer. Whether he was praying for the spark of his vanquished enemy or forgiveness at having killed him wasn't clear from his actions.

Alerted to Jetfire's crash by the rather significant noise and shockwaves it produced, Cosmos jetted toward the fallen Autobot.

"Overdrive, drag the prisoner toward the ship, please," he said, referring to the captive and seemingly passive Pinstripe.

In a louder voice he said, "Jetfire, you'd better be OK. If we bring you back to base in pieces, Wheeljack's only going to tinker with you some more..."

2007-10-25, 12:56 AM
Rim of crater:

Stepper: -crawls over, damaged leg dragging behind him, right hand on the rim- "What-" -pulls back, left hand whipping his plasma pulse blaster out as a hand reaches up out of the crater and grabs onto his right hand-

Jetfire: -pulling himself weakly up, helmet a battered ruin, looking dazedly at Stepper- "Jazz? Is that you?" -shaking head- "If you are, my colorshift sensors are completely scrambled....."

Stepper: -scowls as he holsters his blaster- "I'm not Jazz, you idiot."

Jetfire: -drags himself up over the rim of the crater, rolls onto his back(his backpack boosters no longer there), groans- "Oh, thank Primus." -starts chuckling as he pulls the helmet off- "Let's hear it for crazed inventions. Although I hope Wheeljack's got a couple of extra of those Bergenholm things....." -waves at Cosmos- "I'm not dead yet!"

Minerva: -finishes working on Doubledealer- "There. You can let him transform now."

2007-10-25, 04:29 AM
Cosmos transformed and dropped to the ground next to the crater.

"Good," he told Jetfire mock-seriously. "The Air Guardian gig isn't exactly my cup of tea, you know? Wouldn't want to inherit it."

He chuckled, then activated his comlink. "Minerva, when you're free I've got a couple customers lined up for you."

2007-10-25, 07:35 AM
Overdrive prodded Pin stripe gently with his weapon.

"you heard the officer, move it move it double quick time."

Gnarl could not help himself he instinctively looked at the sound of Jetfire's crash. Thus blowing his cover, However he also spotted Roadbuster's advancing form so he figured it was pretty much blown anyway.

He glanced round surreptiously and spotted the news crew

ahh an easy target and potential hostages.

he sprung to his feet lunging at the female reporter planning to take him hostage.

2007-10-26, 12:31 AM
Roadbuster: -watching the direction his target's moving in, raising his voice- "Move it, camera jockey!"-aiming at the lunging Gnarl's side with his linear blaster cannon, firing-

Minerva: -over commlink to Cosmos- "Think you can get them to Omega Supreme? I've got something of a MASH unit set up there.... if you can call Dirge a doctor....."

Jetfire: -shaking his head, sitting up- "You woouldn't want the job, Cosmos. Lousy hours, bad pay, and the use of bleeding edge weapons and engine technology."

Stepper: "I might be interested. Do your guns talk back?"

Nebulon: -bleeping his disapproval-

Stepper: "Watch your language."

Nebulon: -razzes Stepper-

Jetfire: "Talk back? No. Blow up in your face? Probably."

Hot Rod: -looking down, somewhat regretfully, at the shattered Turnpike, then activates his commlink- "Everybody, this is Hot Rod. I need a status report. We capture any of these goons alive?"

2007-10-26, 06:22 AM
Pinstripe glared over his shoulder at Overdrive.

"I'm movin' already! Ease off!"

Kingbolt radioed Hot Rod. "We doth have incapacitated twain of the perfidious villains," he said in reference to Boomstick and Runaround, who lay unconscious on the ground.

"Can't be worse than spending 90% of your time fifty light years away from your friends, with nothing for company but particles of dust, Jetfire."

"Uh, maybe," Cosmos told Minerva. "I'll see about that." He turned to Stepper and Jetfire. "The doc's set up a field hospital near Omega Supreme. If you can't get there under your own power, I'm dragging you. In saucer mode. At full speed. With a fraying rope. So you probably want to get up now."

If he could have grinned, he would have.

2007-10-26, 07:59 AM
Catady was already reacting to the sudden movement on her peripheral sensors when Roadbuster's cry rang out. She gave Static a firm shove and spun, the razor-sharp blades on the fingertips of her right hand extending with that peculiarly nasty soft hiss of business metal sliding along metal.

2007-10-26, 08:24 AM
Tygun Span

Gnarl dodged the shot and lunged at Catady with his Voulge ( a kind of pole arm)

He hoped moving in close to the reporter would restrict the oncoming Autobot's options.

Static fell sideways but kept filming propped on one elbow his camera tracking the fighting.

2007-10-26, 08:34 AM
Processors calculating angles, Catady jumped upwards and dropped with one foot extended, aiming to land on the haft of Gnarl's weapon just short of the head where she would not take damage. Simultaneously, she slashed towards her attacker's face.

2007-10-26, 10:37 AM
Gnarl kept a firm grip on the haft of his Voulge, however the weapon itself was not so strong and it shattered as the force of Catady's weight impacted on it .

He reeled back as a claw left a long oily score along his cheek. He retaliated whirling his mace down on its chain hoping to impact on Catadys face.

2007-10-26, 12:28 PM
Broadside transformed into robot mode and watched Kingbolt's ritual, it was strange, but then so was Kingbolt it seemed. Hanging back he yelled, 'good sir, thou hassed proved thy metal,' he desperately avoided crackign up again, 'let us share oil when this over,'

Roadbuster's cry made him spin, Catady had been nearby earlier and she was still pretty close. He admired her kick as if shattered [Gnarl's weapon.

Unarmed reporter my exhaust ports

Still there was a mace swung at her. In one smooth, practiced move Broadside drew his arm back, his axe appearing his hand, and with all his aim let fly. His vibro axe spun through the air, aimed at the chain of Gnarl's mace. Following through with the momentum, Broadside took off, moving towards Gnarl, his heavy feet clanging on the ground.

2007-10-26, 02:43 PM
Catady saw the mace coming and threw herself backwards, agile and fluid. It was too close for comfort, grazing her shoulder like acid... and something shiny was flying her way... She twisted, dropped onto her front, glimpsing the blur as it cut past towards Gnarl.

For good measure, as she rolled to escape any follow-through, she shot out her foot claws and lifted her right leg in a sweep at her attacker's lower body.

2007-10-26, 03:24 PM
Gnarl startled back as a metal blur scythed through the air and severed his mace's chain.

He jabbed at Catady with the stump of his Voulge as at the same time the reporters claws jabbed towards him. He slumped sideways as he felt a warm trickle along his left thigh.

She had penetrated his armour and severed a hydraulic line. Damage Status left leg functionality 63%

He pivoted awkwardly looking for a more pliable hostage and spotted Static still on the ground on one elbow.

He limped towards the camera mech menacingly.

2007-10-26, 07:18 PM
The haft might just have hit her, had she not been moving so quickly - and she felt a satisfyingly bitter connection with her attacker's leg. Catady allowed the foot to continue through the sweeping movement and used the momentum, along with a firm shove from both palms, to flip herself upright again. Gnarl was damaged and disarmed, then, but he had turned away and looked to be going for Static.

She pounced...

2007-10-26, 07:23 PM
Gnarl staggered and collapsed as Catady's weight proved too much for his injured leg and he fell groundwards as it gave way.

Servo motors whirred as he tried to train his Calliope on the reporter.

2007-10-26, 08:31 PM
Catady hung on as Gnarl fell, but it was not good to find herself right underneath his over-head weapons array as it armed. She quickly realised that he would be likely to sustain injuries himself if he opened fire, but it would be cold comfort in the event that he did. She twisted violently, hauling her whole weight over to his injured left side.

2007-10-26, 08:34 PM
Gnarl struggled in vain to get the Calliope to bear but his safety protocols prevented him from firing it so close to his body.

The burden of the suprisingly tough reporter on his back swung her weight and it proved too much, he collpased flat on his face hands scrabbling to push himself back up.

2007-10-26, 08:44 PM
Catady let go and, for want of anything more tactical, scrambled clear.

2007-10-26, 09:03 PM
Gnarl pushed himself up and swiveled propping himself up on one elbow.

Catady's actions had brought her outside the safety limits of the Calliope.

He looked over his shoulder to better target her and activated the motors training the Calliope's muzzles round towards Catady.

2007-10-26, 09:15 PM
Catady heard the motors whirring and stopped trying to crawl away. This was the point where the training cut in and over-rode instinctual programming. She brought the soles of her small feet sharply up near her hands and powered off into a high backflip - came down on her hands again and wheeled both sets of foot claws round.

There were tyres in the way... four tyres that she scythed through with a rapid cascade of four explosions. She spun down to her knees and arched both sets of hand claws through the base of the calliope's mounting. For an encore, she closed her blades and jabbed a fist upwards at Gnarl's now exposed face.

2007-10-26, 09:41 PM
Gnarl rocked back as Catady's viscious claws sliced into his tyres.

They exploded one after another

Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang

He desperately tried to train the Calliope on to the onrushing Catady but she was in his safe zone and then the question of safe zones became purely academic as the cold metal of the claws mangled the delicate control runs and cables and the Calliope unit ground to a halt at an angle, never finishing its attack, drooping downwards.

Gnarl snarled and twisted turning aiming to fasten his hands round Catady's throat and choke the spark out of her. He pushed himself up with his arms and started to lunge at Catady only to meet her fist travelling in the opposite direction.

His arms flailed and he sank backwards as her fist contacted with his face . His olfactory sensor cavity crumpled and out of shape wires protruding from it at odd angles sparking randomly.

2007-10-27, 01:03 AM
Jetfire: -getting unsteadily to his feet- "Let's give it a shot." -with a few creaks and a lot of sparks, shifts to guardian mode, hovers into the air-

Stepper: -picking up the chunk of wreckage he'd been using as a crutch, manages to get to his foot(using the crutch to keep weight off of his damaged leg)- "I can get there. Gonna take a while, though."

Nebulon: -bleeps and whistles-

Roadbuster: -over commlink- "If I can keep the media from killing him, we got a live one here." -raising his voice at Gnarl- "Way I see it, you got two choices. Surrender to us, or we'll let the reporters keep 'interviewing' you."

Hot Rod: -listening to Kingbolt's report- "Uh..... all right. Take them to Omega Supreme." -listening to Roadbuster's report- "Good luck with that."

2007-10-27, 03:16 AM
Broadside whistled, slowing to a walk,
'Boy she's got him by the nuts,'
The reporter was laying into Gnarl with a vengeance, he doubted she needed any help.

Still she IS a civillian, but then his gaze drifted to [Static, So's he

Altering course, hefting his pulse rifle just in case, he moved behind the camerabot, careful not to get in his way.

'Is she always this tough?'
The falcon's head nodded slightly. Knok hustled Minerva out of the way while Skar took off. There were several ominous screeches as Doubledealer returned to a badly dently truck form.

'What has happened?' was the first thing he asked.

2007-10-27, 04:56 AM
Kingbolt rose from the ground, nodded politely to Broadside and then took notice of the battle between Catady and Gnarl. Under normal circumstances the knightly Autobot would have been the first to rush to the aid of a damsel in distress, but at the moment it seemed that her foe was in far more danger than she was.

Cosmos walked along with Stepper and Jetfire, keeping watch on his wounded comrades.

"Bit of advice, Jets. Next time you need some new equipment built, don't go to Wheeljack for it. Crosshairs' work takes twice as long, but, hey, I haven't ended up at the bottom of a smoking crater since I had him install my new combination thruster/plasma beam assemblies."

2007-10-27, 08:19 AM
Gnarl looked up at Roadbuster and over at Kingbolt.

"I surrender, please lock me up , just get this reporter off me."

Static levered himself up and clambers to his feet

"Catady , sometimes she's tougher, she was in the resistance you see."

2007-10-27, 12:02 PM
'I gathered,' he commented, watching the beating on, then Gnarl cried surrender. In a movement surprising for his size, his engines slightly flared, carrying him very swiftly. It was one he didn't like to repeat often. Still it looked good on camera

He stopped just next to Catady holding his pulse carbine in one hand, the other deflected a second descending fist from Gnarl's face, which already would take weeks to beat back into shape.

'He's surrendered now, you've got yourself a prisoner it seems,' he commented off handly

2007-10-27, 08:24 PM
Her second punch unexpectedly deflected, Catady dropped back on her haunches and hissed, glaring at the figure by her side. No prisoners!

Then the world jolted, battle protocols went into automatic lockdown and she was aware of Gnarl lying battered before her - of Roadbuster watching her intently - and Static starting towards her, camera activity lighting off. Her right shoulder was becoming acutely painful. This was now, not then...

Transcan was already yelling at Static and Transmission: 'Don't let her offline! You know she's gonna offline!'

2007-10-27, 08:30 PM
Transmission lost height as he headed downwards towards Catady.

Static rushed forward speaking comforting words as he rushed to make sure his comrade was ok.

"It's ok , it's going to be ok , it was us or him , if it hadn't been for your quick thinking things would have been a lot worse."

2007-10-27, 09:50 PM
Fieldgun went out in a spray of vapourised metal right beside her. She operated her twin sidearms until their power was exhausted, then she opened her claws and fought on, almost mindless with fear, above the shattered chasses of her comrades until a blast took her full on the chest.

Catady sagged, clutching at her injured shoulder. This wound was not that wound. Somehow, it was an anchor and she managed to smile at Static. "I'm alright, my friend. Systems hiatus entry might be a bit difficult for a while, but I'm alright. We have a job to do, so let's do it..."

She turned her optics to Roadbuster. "You may have the prisoner - if I may have an interview."

2007-10-27, 10:06 PM
Static extended a hand to Catady . Offering his help, his eyes glazed over temporarily as he picked up a transmission.

"looks like you're quite the hero Cat callers are jamming the Studio lines to check that you're ok. "

2007-10-28, 03:54 AM
Jetfire: "Hey, don't knock it. If it wasn't for the solution Wheeljack put in there to fix the steering problem, I'd be spread across the landscape right now. Assuming I hadn't put myself through a few buildings in Iacon first. That's the think with experimental. Sometimes, things work in unexpected ways."

Roadbuster: "Interview, huh. And who exactly do you want to interview? Me or your playmate?"

2007-10-28, 04:01 AM
Broadside looked from Catady to Gnarl and back again.

'I'm not sure he can talk anymore, except to sing your praises,' Broadside stood over Gnarl's form. Until they worked out what to do with him, Broadside would hang around incase the bot was faking it.

2007-10-28, 08:38 AM
Gnarl shuddered and crawled slowly behind Broadside putting him between him and Catady.

2007-10-28, 09:38 PM
Catady took Static's hand and allowed him to haul her back to her feet. Her smile became bright, although still a little brittle. "If I try to interview him," she said, thumbing at Gnarl. "I think someone would do me for press brutality. I would rather be interviewing one of the famous Wreckers..."

She raised her right hand to indicate the mike button at the base of her throat and winced at the sudden pain shooting through her servos as something gave way in her shoulder rotation joint. A wave of what could best be described as nausea hit her and she staggered.

2007-10-28, 10:33 PM
Transmission touched down near the gaggle of mechs and popped open his door fot Transcan.

Static steadied Catady and then turned his head to Roadbuster.

"You didn't happen to bring a medic with you ?"

Aero Blade
2007-10-29, 02:18 AM
"Well it looks like you took quite a beating by the time we got here," Hound spoke to Doubledealer as he gave him a pleasant smile. "How're you feeling?"

2007-10-29, 05:59 AM
"Well, that's what testing facilities are for, my friend." Cosmos looked Jetfire up and down. "If Wheeljack had properly tested all the upgrades before he started stapling things onto you, stuff like this wouldn't happen." He chuckled. "Well, not quite so much, anyway. Even those of us who don't sign up for guinea pig duty still hit the ground from time to time."

2007-11-03, 04:50 AM
Roadbuster: "Interview? Why would anybody want to interview a Wrecker?"

Minerva: -confused look on her face, looking down at Knok- "Is there some specific reason you didn't want me to watch him transform? What if he got stuck?"

Hot Rod: -transforming to vehicle mode, revving his engine, shifting into gear, and heading towards Omega Supreme-

Jetfire: "But we had tested it in the lab. The boosters provided too much thrust. In space, they're fine. But in a planetary atmosphere..... the thrust vectoring gymbals don't have the response of actual flight surfaces. Of course, part of this might mean overhauling my own reaction time as well."

Stepper: -stumping along next to the taller Autobot- "Trust me. That is NOT a good idea."

Nebulon: -whistles in agreement-

Jetfire: "Why? It might be interesting."

Stepper: -scowling- "Just trust me." -snorts- "You could just dial the power back to your jets and practice."

Jetfire: "Where's the fun in that? Although it is a good idea....."

2007-11-03, 08:02 PM
Transcan slipped between what were, to him, enormous bodies and gave Catady the once over. It wasn't so bad this time, he noted, but it would never go away - and that shoulder was obviously hurting. Static had already asked for a medic, so he was going to be the one making sure Catady was distracted enough to stay OK. Jumping onto a handy rock, he tipped his head back to look up at Roadbuster.

"Hey, Roadie!" he called up to attract attention to himself. "If I were you, I'd take up the offer! The Wreckers could use some good press coverage!"

2007-11-05, 03:02 AM
Roadbuster's Shoulder-Mounted Shrapnel Cannon: -pivots and drops down, aiming at Transcan, the optical head mounted on the top of the barrel narrowing, an almost organic snarl seeming to come from it-

Roadbuster: "We're spec-ops. Publicity isn't something we strive for." -narrows optic band for a moment- "Besides, for once I've come through a battle not looking like something the Dinobots dragged in. Wouldn't you rather do a field interview with somebody who looks like they've been through a battle?" -looks over at Gnarl- "If the friends of your playmate over there hadn't run off, it might be a different story."

2007-11-05, 01:35 PM
Transcan glanced to Static and beamed, 'Don't interfere, right?' At the same time he fronted Roadbuster and said, "I'm an info-op - ain't nowhere I can't break into - and hardly any online system I can't crack the monitor network. Sure, it ain't always legal and heh! I've had plenty of close calls, but I'm not the only one who can do it. Perhaps you oughta consider the fairy footprints I found all over your case files at the ISS."

The Micromaster raised his hands, palms out in a conciliatory gesture. "I was only getting some good bits to feed Transmission for the back-up commentary, but you have to admit there's a lot of stuff in there you wouldn't want to get out in the wrong way..."

2007-11-05, 04:15 PM
Transmission stepped between Transcan and Roadbuster

"cool down TS we're not Airplay or her crew here. We don't blackmail people here especially not heavily armed ones with few moral scuples."

2007-11-05, 09:32 PM
"Oh, I ain't threatening," Transcan said. "I ain't blackmailing. But someone else has been taking a stroll through the Wreckers' database and dancing round the protocols. Now either these guys have a really dedicated fan or there's something not quite right." He turned back to Roadbuster. "Given today's little showing, I think I'd be putting your best techies on this and track the hack back."

2007-11-05, 09:47 PM
Static looked around

"What about getting you to a medic Cat perhaps this gentlemech ."

He gestured towards Kingbolt.

"Can help you and once your patched up maybe he'd care to give you an interview."

Transmission relaxed visibly

"Whatcha think Space Mafia TS ? The criminal gangs have been really active of late."

Gnarl whimpered and edged further behind Broadside.

2007-11-05, 10:00 PM
"That's exactly what I'm thinking," Transcan confirmed with a nod.

Catady looked over at Kingbolt: did she still count as a 'fair maiden', given Gnarl's situation? She hoped so, as she would really enjoy interviewing the warrior-knight about his take on the battle.

2007-11-07, 05:45 AM
"Wouldn't it make more sense to just add new control surfaces somewhere?" Cosmos shrugged as they arrived at Omega Supreme.

At the suggestion of an interview, Kingbolt made an arcane hand-motion used by the Matrix Templars to ward off evil.

"Thou would assuredly find more of interest in other persons," he said self-deprecatingly. "But our medical facilities doth be open to all. If thou wouldst follow me, maiden, I shall see to it that thou art taken care of."

2007-11-08, 05:41 AM
Broadside groaned at Kingbolt's flowery speak, but otherwise remained silent, watching the events while standing guard over Gnarl
Knok looked suspiciously at Minerva
'Don't want you learning any more than you need to about his internal systems.
Skar sighed, Knok's aparent paranoia looking ridiculous. Bruticus's rampage must've really shaken the smaller bot. He sat in the rafter watching both autobots.

Doubledealer ignored Hound's comment and moved on to his next question.
'Are we your prisoners?'

2007-11-08, 02:12 PM
This was a chance and no mistake! Catady smiled warmly, extending her left hand towards the warrior. "Don't underestimate public interest in your society, Kingbolt. If you check the media archives, you'll find a lot of articles speculating about the Templars' relationship with the Matrix and the planetary mainframe."

Turning to Static she asked, "You coming, too?"

Transmission grinned at Broadside. "Okayyy," he drawled. "You want me to help you find out who's been into your impegnable ISS records bank or not?"

2007-11-10, 01:43 AM
Roadbuster: "The big question is, why would anybody want to look at our files?"

Omega Supreme:

Jetfire: -shrugs- "Control surfaces would ruin the aerodynamics. Haven't you ever ripped a stabilizer off, Cosmos?"

Stepper: -looking around- "Shouldn't there be a medic or something around here?"

Hot Rod: -rolls up behind them, transforms to robot mode, wincing as he does- "Or at least a podiatrist." -hops up onto one of the tables- "I mean, just look at this. He shot me in the feet!"

Stepper: "I'd feel for you, Roddy. I really would. Unfortunately, a psychopath who was turned out by the same program that developed me shot me in the knee."

Nebulon: -squeals and chirps-

Stepper: -sighs- "And managed to damage my mouthy little companion here."

2007-11-10, 11:04 PM
"Research, y'know," Transcan said. "Or - and I am gonna be really honest here - dirt digging. The Wreckers seriously over-stepped what passed for the law during the War and ain't done more than give lip-service to the law we have now. More power to 'em, I say, but there are parties out there who might be setting up for a little blackmail..?"

2007-11-11, 07:01 AM
"Nae, maiden," Kingbolt told Catady. "Thou cannot pry from mine Spark the secrets of the Order, not if thou dost use thine silver tongue to it's greatest capacity.

"Flying saucers aren't much for stabilizers," Cosmos reminded Jetfire. "Vectorable thrusters at eight different places around my rim give much better handling, in space or in the air." He shrugged. "Minerva said to come here, guys. I figure she'll be along as soon as she's done with the prisoner."

2007-11-15, 04:57 AM
Roadbuster: "Nice try, Transcan. Anybody that tries to blackmail us tends to die a very, VERY messy death. And now, if anybody does actually try to blackmail us, I know who to talk to first." -optic band narrowing- "Don't I."

2007-11-15, 02:00 PM
Transcan was not in the least intimidated. He grinned widely and jumped down off the rock, swaggering towards Transmission. "Yeah, Roadie - you do just that," he shot back over his shoulder. "You come and talk to me first. I might just be able to help you out..."

Catady winced as hot lightning seemed to flare through her shoulder circuitry. "An interview about your perspective on the fight here today will do, Kingbolt. You're going to be popular; half the planet must have watched you bringing down your dragon!" Then her over-ride on the pain failed and she moaned, sagging at the knees, darkly remembering an older injury. "Medical assistance would also be very welcome!"

Kingbolt gently put a hand on Catady's upper arm and tried to ease her back up.

"Thou shall comest with me, maiden," he said. "Worry about thine work after thine wounds have been tended."

2007-11-16, 01:01 PM
"It's the work that keeps me sane," Catady muttered through clenched dental arches, accepting Kingbolt's aid.

2007-11-18, 05:35 AM
Kingbolt frowned as he guided Catady toward the field hospital.

"That doth be an unhealthy attitude, milady. Thou needest other things, lest thine life become nothing at all save work. If thine job is thine whole life, art thou truly any different from a drone?"

2007-11-18, 10:24 AM
Static trailed after Catady and Kingbolt

Static nodded slowly

"Yup Hobbies are good you could always join me and some of the lads at quiz night."

Transmission watched Transcan walk towards him.

"If we find out any info we'll drop you a line Roadbuster."

2007-11-18, 09:08 PM
Catady heard the buzz of the conversation; it seemed a thousand kliks away. Nearer, much nearer, was the memory of waking up and finding she was the only survivor of her unit. The fieldmedic tending to her had grunted when her optics came online: Why did you get involved? You were supposed to monitor the situation!

Because... because... Someone had to do something...

Stick with what you do best, Cat'. Next time, come back with the strategic reports.

That was just what she had been doing ever since.

And she was slagging well going to do so today.

As his comment had been ignored, Hound decided to ignore Doubledealer's for the moment, mostly as he wasn't quite sure himself... Instead, he turned his attention back to Minerva, though still staying ready in the event things turned hostile.

"Well, what shall we do with this lot?" Hound asked the medic. "We need to be checking back in with Omega Supreme and Dirge."

2007-11-20, 03:56 PM
Minerva: "More about his internal systems than I need to? Then why'd you call for a medic in the first place?" -scowls, looks over at Hound- "Any idea how we can get our prisoners back to Omega? I don't think I can tow a missile carrier....."

Hot Rod: -cocking an eyebrow at Stepper- "Program? What program?"

Stepper: "It was something that predated the Targetmaster concept. Take Autobots with exceptional aim, or good aim- or in Quickshot's case, can hit the broad side of a storage unit- and 'develop' them."

Hot Rod: "Develop? That sounds vaguely ominous."

Stepper: "It should. The theory was sound. Refine targeting systems, increase visual acuity, build up some elite snipers." -scowls- "Then they added on the next part. Somebody realized that as effective as snipers can be, that whole 'shoot, then move so you can shoot again and hope nobody spots you' could be a problem in terms of inflicting damage to the enemy. So they left us the increased acuity and targeting systems, and put some of us through what suddenly seemed the next best thing. Reflex enhancement."

Hot Rod: "That doesn't sound so bad."

Stepper: "Six of us went into that particular upgrade, three of us came out. They were going to do more, but losing half the initial group because their minds couldn't cope with the increased processing speed meant that Quickshot, Blues, and I were the first and last products of the program." -smirks grimly- "And I'm not exactly a paragon of mental stability."

Nebulon: -chirps and whistles in agreement-

Jetfire: -who has been contemplating Cosmos' vector thrust idea the whole time, picks Stepper up, sits him on one of the medtables- "I don't think that'll work for me, Cosmos."

Hot Rod: "So we've seen you and this Quickshot, apparently. Where's Blues?"

Stepper: "He was our team leader, because he came out of the the most stable. He also didn't get jacked up as much as we did. Quickshot gunned him down because he felt like it. That was the final nail in the program's coffin. His psych profile showed no signs that he would become what he did." -shrugs- "But then, I didn't have anger management issues before they put me through the program, either."

2007-11-21, 06:02 AM
"Why not, Jetfire? It's a perfectly sound idea." Cosmos frowned. "Might require a bit of alt-mode re-engineering on your part, but it works just fine."

Kingbolt nodded to the assembled Autobots near Omega Supreme as he guided Catady to a seat. He noticed the increasingly vacant look in her optics with not-insignificant concern.

"Milady? Art thou alright?"

Whirl slowly flew toward the gathering, airlift cables hanging from his skids as he transported one of the supply trailers to safety.

"Not sure what we're supposed to do with these," he told Hot Rod as he settled the trailer on the ground and dropped the cables. "Take 'em back to base?"

Clampdown hovered behind Minerva, occasionally shooting distrustful looks in her patient's direction.

2007-11-21, 01:09 PM
Get the job done, Catady told herself, but what job? She focussed on Kingbolt shining through the gathering darkness.

"Did we hold them off?" she asked in a tense whisper. "I have field-rec information for Impactor..."

She felt cold and adjusting her thermocline to maximum did not help. The darkness was freezing and full of uncaring stars, red and blue: the optics of the dead.

2007-11-21, 11:24 PM
Static gently took her wrist

"it's ok Catady , thats all over now , finished, your with friends, the medics on the way."

Turning away from Catady he whispered fiercly

"Where's the Slaggin' medic got to, can't you see she needs help."

2007-11-21, 11:53 PM
"I suppose we'll just have to call for some reinforcements," Hound answered to Minerva. "We can't really try to move them and keep an eye on them at the same time."

2007-11-22, 05:08 AM
"She doth not be the only one suffering for wont of medical attention," Kingbolt said. "Thou surely can see my comrades doth be injured as well. Minerva will attend her when she does finish with cases of life-threatening import, knave."

2007-11-22, 01:00 PM
Doubledealer stood quietly running microsystems analysis' and diagnostics, determining his own condition, he was sure he couldn't take maybe Minerva in his current state. He took note of Skar's and Knok's positions before speaking.

'I am no threat to you in this condition, only a fool would try to continue a fight like this. I surrender to you.'

Knok was agape, if he had a mouth until a silent transmission came in.

Play along

'What are you doing?' he cried, running over to kick one of Doubledealer's tyres. By upping the pressure, Douberdealer made it burst under his kick.

'I'm too badly damaged, would you see us offline trying to escape?' That shut Knok up

Broadside had enough of standing there, keeping an eye on Gnarl, having been left behind by the others. Instead of following them he turn to his prisoner, gesturing.

'Up and get moving, we're off to see Omega Supreme'

Hound watched the antics of the Decepticons with a credulous look, not letting the complaints phase him. He'd seen 'Con tricks before - granted he had real way to determine if this was one - but it was better safe now than sorry later when it came to the enemy.

"I suppose we could call in Dirge, Omega Supreme should be able to handle on his own, but might be a good idea to call for some more back-up than that," Hound suggested to Minerva.

2007-11-23, 06:52 AM
Static looked embarrased.

"sorry I forgot it's just I worry about her she went through a lot during the war."

2007-11-24, 05:24 AM
Minerva: "Might as well." -activates commlink- "Minerva to Dirge. Home in on my location and prepare to transport prisoners."

Roadbuster: -walks over to Gnarl, looks over at Broadside- "Now, now. He's a prisoner. We can't expect him to willingly come with us." -grabs Gnarl's foot- "Just grab a convienent handle and pull."

2007-11-24, 07:06 AM
"Verily," Kingbolt replied to Static. "So doth we all, nae?"

The knightly Autobot wanted to know more about Catady's experiences, about what could make such a seemingly-strong femme react this way, but his code of honour prevented him from asking.

2007-11-24, 11:35 PM
Transcan tapped on Transmission's leg, thumbing back to where Roadbuster was... removing Gnarl. "Don't film that," he suggested. "And don't record in any way what I'm about to share with you, OK?"

Catady fixed on Kingbolt and gave a frown. Who was this mech? Why was Impactor not here? Or Xaaron?

Her claws slid from their sheaths with a whisper of death.

2007-11-24, 11:40 PM
Gnarl scrabbled frantically

"I'm coming ok I'm coming just keep herrrr away from me ok."

Transmission nodded the red light on his camera fading from red to black.

"whatcha got for me lil buddy?"

Static looked down as he heard a sound his senses finely tuned from breems of sensor duty.

He saw the claws

"Kingbolt move away slowly...."

He touched Catady's arm

"Captain we need your report they need it so they can brief the new troops."

2007-11-25, 12:19 AM
Transcan saw the telltale go off and employed his magnetics to levitate up to Transmission's shoulder height. Maybe not a good idea in his present state, but he did not want to shout any and you never, ultimately, knew with radio. "Nothing good," he said. "I was in the ISS database, like I said, but someone was in there with me. Real skilled, too. Blew a shell up practically in my trace!"

The pitch and level of his voice lowered to a bare whisper and he spoke a single name: "Weasel."

"My report," Catady said hollowly. "Build up of Decepticon forces in sectors 0mnicron and 6iger. Possible target is Autobot emplacement at Grune. Xaaron must evactuate. Tell Impactor that someone betrayed us and they caught us out in the open."

She lifted her hands, the blade edges glinting balefully. "You!" she yelled at Kingbolt and launched at him.

2007-11-26, 05:27 AM
Kingbolt took a step back as Catady charged him, swinging his right arm (and the attached shield) around in an attempt to fend off her assault non-lethally.

"Controlleth thine friend, media scoundrel," he snapped at Static, "lest she force me to mete out serious harm in mine own defence!"

2007-11-26, 05:53 AM
Roadbuster: -narrowing optic band as he spins, keeping a firm grip on Gnarl's ankle, yelling at Catady- "You want a Wrecker, sister? There's one right here!" -shoulder cannon lowering, pivoting, locking onto the small femme-

Hot Rod: -watching the fracas unfolding near Omega's landing area- "What the frack?" -looks at the others- "Stay here and keep an eye on things, guys. I think the media's gone nuts." -hops gingerly down off the table, backpack booster roaring to life, lifts into the air, soars over, lands(with much wincing) next to Kingbolt, looks at Catady- "Haven't I seen you on the news?"

2007-11-26, 11:49 AM
'That's enough' Broadside growled, stepping between Roadbuster and Catady.

'Keep an eye on him,' he gestured to Gnarl, 'and let's avoid shooting civilians for now.'

Turning back he marched the short distance to the other bots, seeing Kingbolt and the others.

2007-11-26, 01:23 PM
Static lunges at Catady in an attempt to tackle her and bring he rdown.

"Don't shoot, its post traumatic combat fatigue, rare type she has flashbacks where she relives events from her past. She's never been the same since her uni... no I won't say she doesn't like to talk about it."

2007-11-26, 01:36 PM
With Static's grip round her knees, Catady went down hard. "Twintwist - let me go! He told them we were there! He killed us!" She pawed at the ground, claws retracting and gasped, "Dead, dead..."

A tremble wracked her and she went absolutely still, optics gradually dimming.

2007-11-28, 07:53 PM
Roadbuster: "Then it looks like you've just volunteered to be our media liason, Broadside. Have fun with that." -turns goes back to dragging Gnarl towards Omega Supreme-

Hot Rod: -drops to one knee, looking at Static- "Since her what? I'm guessing you weren't going to say university."

Minerva: -over commlink- "Dirge, respond please! You're needed for prisoner transport!" -looks over at Hound- "Think you can tow Doubledealer if you have to?"

2007-11-28, 10:53 PM
Gnarl struggled leaving furrows in the earth from his fingers/

Static shrugged and brushed his boom mike out of his face.

"I guess I may as well tell you. Her unit got drafted ,some hush hush special ops thing. They were recon specialists, scoot and scout not special ops but they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They got sent out cover the insertion of two spy types.

The Cons were waiting for them. The spies got cut down Lead was lucky he died instantly. Shade she went down but survived at least initially, the Cons , well lets say the reports we got weren't pretty, but she didn't talk.

They retreated Lighter tried to retrieve her get her out of Con hands but their were too many of them. He was a transport mech he never stood a chance.

Fieldgun volunteered to stand rearguard cover their retreat with Catady . He got hit went down beside her as far as we can tell. She doesn't like to talk about it too much.

Some of it comes from forensics when we recaptured that land after the big push. From the wounds on the Cons bodies we think either gun jammed or she just saw red or a combination of both. The Cons were clawed up pretty good.

Meanwhile a Seeker got Blunt as he retreated. We think Catady caught up with them. We think she somehow pounced the Seeker, it's unclear but their were claw marks all over him. Catady carried Blunt all the way back with a chest wound. She almost made it too.

A patrol picked her up offline on the edge of no mech's land. Despite all her efforts Blunt didn't make it she was the sole survivor..barely."

Static looked relieve to have got it off his chest

2007-11-29, 06:49 AM
'wha?' Broadside turned to Roadbuster, but the Wrecker was moving away already.

Instead he returned to the group and moved forward swiftly, commenting to Static, 'Most bots wouldn't hold up under that, and it doesn't look like she will unless we get help for her,'

He gently knelt next to Catady's limp form, moving to pick her up and hold her steady in his large hands.

'I'll get her to Minerva and we can deal with the rest later, when she's not offlining.'

2007-11-29, 07:00 AM
(OOC: Lets wrap this up and get moving, please? :))

"Verily that be tragic," Kingbolt told Static as he recovered from Catady's attack. "But thou must remember that four of mine comrades lie dead after this conflict. All Autobots have doth lost many friends. Thou art looking for sympathy in the wrong place."

"You know," Whirl chimed in, "as much fun as this has been, I'd really like to get back to Debris and sort through the new load of supplies we-" he stopped short as he realized the media was still around, "uh, that we acquired from purely legitimate sources before we were called out for this mission."

2007-12-02, 03:32 PM
Static shrugged

"I know I know we've all lost someone, it's just I was on sensor overwatch I saw most of it unfold I just couldn't do anything to help except send the patrol in Catady's direction."

Hound considered Minerva's proposal for a moment, running the calculations momentarily before answering. "I suppose so, if we're thoroughly prepared..." Hound failed to specify what exactly he meant by 'prepared', but he figured Minerva would come up with her own interpretation.

Soon enough Dirge's voice was answering on the com, back at their encampment. "Prisoners? I'll be there as soon as I can, but what's going on?"

2007-12-04, 03:34 PM
Minerva: -over commlink to Dirge- "The Decepticon Doubledealer and his component partners. He's been disabled." -looks over at Hound- "Well, I think I've got some duct tape, maybe some zip ties. Although I get the impression they aren't going to do anything to damage Doubledealer." -looks over at Knok and Skar- "Are you?"

Roadbuster: -drags Gnarl into the field hospital within Omega Supreme's tank track perimeter, tosses him onto a med table, looks around- "Didn't we bring a medic?"

Jetfire: -looking up from the datapadd he's working on- "No sign of her when we got here."

Stepper: -shrugs-

Roadbuster: -looks over at Dirge, about to say something-

Omega Supreme: "Distress call: Recieved. Minerva and Hound: Responding."

Hot Rod: "Don't drop her, Broadside. We don't want any bad press."

Omega Supreme

"They've just reported in," Dirge spoke to Roadbuster, still tuned into the information Minerva was sending. "They've asked for help in bringing back a prisoner, Doubledealer and his component partners."

Dirge then turned his attention back to the com. "The rest of the team just arrived back at Omega Supreme. "I'll head out as soon as I can."

2007-12-05, 11:00 AM
Knok swelled with annoyance, 'Decepticons!,' he sputtered, 'We're independent agents, we'd just as happliy work with you, for a small compensation.

Up in the rafter's Skar sighed, at least it would pass the time.

'Need someone killed, kidnapped or rescued? or perhaps defended or destroyed? we're hapy to oblige. As a team we've experienced many campaigns and possess skillz in infiltration, demolition, hand to hand, sniper shooting and investigation. Why just look at Doubledealer, most bots would be in pieces after taking the blast he took.'

Knok continued hs advertisement, with Skar projecting supporting holograms.

'This was the seige of Bejin 3, I'm sure you would've heard of it. We were tasked with reasucing Beta Quadron, the general in charge of the autobot defenses. We slipped in on a resupply vessel, it was the flagship of the fleet. By hacking the ships mainfram we created so many false alarms we slipped in and out with ease.'

During his speech the holograms showed interiors of the ship, Doubledealer drving down a corridor, a breif clip of a fire fight.

Doubledealer watched, amused, wondering how long it'd take Hound to get annoyed.

2007-12-07, 07:37 AM
Hovering overhead, Whirl addressed Dirge. "I'm not exactly the Galactic Express, but I'm game for an airlift, if you want me to lend a claw."

2007-12-10, 04:31 PM
Minerva: -blinking a couple of times- "Well then, seeing as you're not covered uder either Autobot medical or the protocols of the Ares Conventions, we'll have to see about settling your bill once we've got you healed."

Roadbuster: "Good. Let's get them back here and get out of here."

Hound for the moment simply tried to keep himself calm without reacting, simply keeping an eye on their 'companions' while waiting for the rest of the pick-up crew to arrive.

Omega Supreme

"I get the feeling we'll probably need all the help we can get, so you're welcome for it," Dirge responded to Whirl. Before leaving, though, he took a moment to look over towards Spike. "Will you be alright here?"

"With plenty of other guys around I should be fine," Spike replied easily. "Just make sure Hound gets back to me fine. I'm a little attached to him now in days..." He spoke with a hint of humor in his tone, referring to the recient bonding process.

"Will do," Dirge responded with a nod, transforming and taking to the air, pasing by Whirl. "Let's go."

2007-12-11, 05:52 AM
Whirl followed behind Dirge, flying sideways with his rotors pointed toward the conehead just for the sheer fun of it. As they neared Doubledealer's position, though, he reluctantly levelled out and hovered overhead.

2007-12-15, 04:42 AM
Minerva: -looking from broken down missile carrier to hovering copter- "Anybody have any rope?"

2007-12-15, 07:10 AM
Field Hospital

Gnarl moans deliriously "nooo the claws not the claws, keep her away from me."

Transmission nodded slowly

"that would proably be at Airplay's behest, one of these days she#s going to bite off more than she can chew, something that even her silver tongue and fighter pilot reflexes can't get her out of.

Static followed Broadside anxiously.

2007-12-15, 10:09 PM
Transcan, too much power expended, sank again to the ground. He lifted his hands and wiggled his fingers. "I recorded all that stuff Roadie and me said," he told Transmission. "Heh, he'll come after me at some point if the cyberbees fly the hive, so I want to be prepared. We have to get back to Iacon and find ourselves Weasel. You want to check with Static if Catady is OK?"

2007-12-16, 06:06 AM
Whirl lowered a tow cable down to Minerva.

"Rope? What's this 'rope' you speak of? Never heard of such a thing."

2007-12-17, 02:14 AM
Minerva: "Rope, cable, whatever. We'll give it a fancy name and add it to Doubledealer's bill." -starts attaching the tow cable to the disabled Doubledealer-

Hot Rod: -transforms to vehicle mode- "Back to the big guy. Although if there's still no doctor in the house, I might have to take care of myself."

Aero Blade
2007-12-17, 05:06 AM
"Well this looks like it should be a fairly good group," Hound observed as Whirl and Dirge arrived on the scene. "Need any help?" He offered to Minerva.

Dirge transformed and landed nearby, taking in the scene with a scrutinizing look. He wasn't sure if he was any good for towing, but from the sound of it they were probably concerned about an escort to watch their new 'companions'. "Let me know if you need anything," Dirge spoke aloud, keeping an optic out for anything unusual Doubledealer and his pals might be up to.

2007-12-17, 06:23 AM
Smokescreen's voice crackled over Hot Rod's communicator.

"You planning on coming back any time soon? I need your prisoner for something."

After Minerva finished hooking up Doubledealer, Whirl winched the captive mercenary up into the air.

The Wrecker groaned. "Gah! This guy weighs more than some transport trucks I've towed. I think we need to put him on a diet!"

He slowly started to move away, floating unsteadily toward Omega Supreme.

2007-12-18, 10:19 PM
Transmission finished his conversation with Static closing his com link

"She's stable that's about it at the moment."

2007-12-19, 01:54 PM
"Uh, hope it's not too bad," Transcan said. "But I guess it will be, what with her getting into a real fight rather than a tussle with us as back-up. Wonder if the docs'll ever be able to fix her glitch? Still, I suppose she's in the best hands, now.

"Want to call Static over, Transmission? We have gotta get back and stop whatever is going down... going down."

2007-12-21, 02:13 AM
Hot Rod: -binocs zoomed on on Whirl and his passenger, activates commlink to Smokescreen- "Once we get the wounded aboard Omega Supreme, we'll be back. Assuming Whirl doesn't overly strain himself lugging Doubledealer back here, that is."

2007-12-24, 02:08 AM
Broadside landed just outside, cradling Catady like a protoform. He ran inside, yelling, 'Need a medic now!'

He was worried, Catady was showing no signs of power. He was a solider and had been hardened by his expereince. Civillians like Catady weren't, and sometimes they had so much data to process it just became a corrupted mess.

Or simply, bad news.

Doubledealer remained silent during the whole thing, his mind running through Autobot legislation for this situation.

Knok remained still, his mind trying to process how much all the repairs and expenses they'd have to pay after this. Skar remained in the rafters silently laughing at how Minerva has managed to shut him up. Still, the little autobot had his uses, so Skar swooped down to pick ihim up and carry him onto Doubledeealer, before sitting next to him, looking up at Whirl as he lifted the three of them.

2007-12-24, 04:42 PM
Jetfire: -still looking severely singed and battered, the remains of his photon mortar cannons still strapped to his forearms, shrugs as he approaches Broadside- "Our medic got called out to lug somebody in. The med-beds that are set up should stabilize her, though. Just set her on one of them, and the bed'll take over."

Stepper: -having managed to disconnect his Blaze Cannon from his shoulder mount, trying to repair the damage-

Nebulon: -stuck in Blaze Cannon mode, bleeping and screeching his distress as Stepper pokes around his transform circuits-

Stepper: -muttering under his breath- "Sure, having a talking gun was a great idea......."

Roadbuster: "Could be worse. The little pile of scrap could speak in Cybertronian, not binary."

Nebulon: -razzes Roadbuster-

Minerva: -seeing that her patient is safely(if unsteadily) on his was, transforms, grabbing the commlink handset from the dash of her transector- "Hot Rod, it's Minerva. We're coming back. How's it look back there?"

Hot Rod: -over commlink- "You're gonna be the most popular girl here, Minerva. Most of us are wounded."

Minerva: "Lovely." -sighs- "All right, we'll be there shortly. Minerva out." -puts the handset back on the dashboard of her transector, leans out of the driver's side window- "C'mon, Hound and Dirge. Let's get back to Omega Supreme." -shifts into gear, rolls away-
