View Full Version : [Site] Starship Submissions

Okay, now that I helped wrap-up the locations page, I've turned my attention towards the starship page.

The Ark, Steelhaven, and Nemesis pages have been updated with images, while The Warworld and Twilight pages have just been added.

If anyone could, I need some basic stats on some of the lesser known, and RPG-created starcrafts listed on the starship's mainpage. Anything I should know before I begin to look through years and years of RPG backstory.

I only know of the Fearless, Gigatron's ship... Previously in Polyhex, currently in Crystal City.

The BeeFang, the De-commisioned ship that formerly belonged to Bugbite, taken over by Bumblebee and is currently MIA.

To be fair, does Countdown's shuttle have a name?

And the Wrecker's ship in IDW the Xantium, if that counts. There's also Skyfire, Nightbird and some others in IDW, but those maybe doesn't translate into our RPG. You're the mod, Ziggy...;)

It's more of Warcry's baby than mine. I just like to help.

I don't know if the Wreckers ever had a ship in the RPG-verse. Kind of like the idea of them having their own Wrecker-mobile, Wrecker-wing, etc, though.

Sorry I haven't gotten around to updating the ship page yet. I will though. Just have to motivate myself to wade though the history via the search function.

It's interesting that the Wreckers have a ship in IDW despite more than half of them turning into airborne vehicles of some kind... You'd think Broadside would be big enough to transport them all.:D

Can Broadside be used as a starship (like Astrotrain)?

At any rate, since I was reminded, I just (semi) created and uploaded the pages for:

Caveat (http://tfarchive.com/rpg/site/ships/caveat)
Chains of Justice (http://tfarchive.com/rpg/site/ships/chains_of_justice)
Conviction (http://tfarchive.com/rpg/site/ships/conviction)
Jurisprudence (http://tfarchive.com/rpg/site/ships/jurisprudence)
Lex Causae (http://tfarchive.com/rpg/site/ships/lex_causae)
Testimony (http://tfarchive.com/rpg/site/ships/testimony)

With thanks and credit to Warcry for the info I was able to dig up :)

EDIT: Those 3 remaining Decepticon ships (re-edit: not including the Fearless link - which leads to nothing right now) have been a little tricky though

Any help would be appreciated.

I'll have to come up with something for the Fearless.

Let me put my thinking hat on

Here we go the writing bug hit me

Intelligence Report on the CES Fearless
Classified Top Secret : Codeword Indigo

1.1 Executive Summary

a) Analysis of Imperial Naval Forces from evidence found on the CES Fearless

The CES Fearless is a Ruthless class Imperial Battleship. It is impossible to tell how many of this class are in existence however a Builders plate indicates she is No. 27 . There is insufficent evidence to indicate if she was No. 27 built by that partiular yard or 27th in the class. A Intelligence analysis of the class indicates that the Empire could indeed support that number of ships of this type. A partial de-coding of the ships log reveals vessels in existence called Formidable, Irresistable, Implacable, Courageous, Furious , Glorious, Invincible, Inflexible and Implacable. There penant numbers indicate that they are Battleships however it is impossible to tell if they are all of the same class.

b) General Characteristics of Ruthless Class

12 x 10 inch quick firing guns in twin turrets

Note 1

The normal fighter compliment of the Ruthless Class Battleship is 2 squadrons of 24 Vampire or Mosquito type fighters however during the Capture of the Fearless most of her squadrons were wiped out. We currently have 4 Vampire and 7 Mosquito type fighters spaceworthy. See (appendix 5 for analysis of Imperial spacefighters classes)

1 Vampire Mark VII P reconnaisance
2 Vampire Mark III Local Defence Fighters
1 Vampire Mark XIV Commerce Denial Attack Craft

3 Mosquito Mark X Local Defence Fighters
2 Mosquito Mark XXII AEW Craft
1 Mosquito II Attack Bomber
1 Mosquito X-24 Special Operations craft

It is hoped to cannibalise some of the damaged craft to and bring more back into service. Trials will be held against our own organic craft to decide if it is worth setting up a production line. Research and Development have so far identified several improvements that can be integrated into our own fighters on the production line. It is recommended that the improvements are retrofitted to our own craft as part of their normal repair cycle.

Note 2

40 inch as a calibre has not been used in the Decepticon Space forces for a considerable time, a such there is a lack of replacement ammunition once the ships onboard supply has been exhausted. The Gremlin may be able to manafacture the parts required.

Note 3

Although the ship is highly automated and can be fought by a relatively small crew, it is recommended that the ships AI be isolated and crew trained up to operate systems on manual until the software can be analysed for bugs and back doors and the ships AI re-educated.

c) Ship History

The ship was captured in the Haven System while ferrying the payroll for an Imperial Sub- Quadrant. It was orbiting Haven IV in the company of the Jinx Class Fleet Auxillary CES Gremlin, the Gem Class light patrol cruiser CES Topaz and the Weapon Class Destroyers CES Rapier and Battleaxe. The Fearless and Topaz had been involved in a collision and were under repair. The Topaz had sustained significant damage in the collision and subsequent inspection of the wreck was found to be a write off. The Fearless had a large hole in her starboard bow plating from the collision as well as damage to her forward starboard secondary mount. Trypticon attacked the auxiliary knocking out the drive coupling he trhen attacked the destroyers luring them away while a boarding party lead by Gigatron penetrated the Fearless through the hull breech. There was severe compartment by compartment fighting and the interior of the ship was damaged. (see schedule 2 for details) The ship was captured after intense fighting. Trypticon knocked out the 2 destroyers and engaged the Fearless while the Boarding Party stormed the bridge. (see appendix 3)

It's more of Warcry's baby than mine.

I've done a lot of setup and editing work, but it's no more my baby than it is anyone's who's contributed to it.

But IMO, Xantium and the other IDWverse ships don't really have a place on the site until they appear in the game.

So....umm, about those Decepticon ships I mentioned ;)

(And yep, the Fearless is up there now, optimusskids)
