Kup's so macho and dreamy.

Mildly interesting to see Devastator portrayed as capable of stringing a sentence together.

Glad?

Well, glad is probably the wrong word, but there was always the slim chance I'd accidentally buy it. That'd be morally wrong, though - I'm still building up to 12 worth of storyline from IDW having paid money for Infiltration, and I'm still owed a bit yet.

So the major change to the status quo at the end of this is that McCarthy's killed a load of humans and Autobots off-panel? Woo.

Dude, c'mon! That's groundbreaking! It never happened in the cartoon, like, EVAR.

Relieved, maybe?

Relieved, maybe?

And strangely enough AHM was achieved by the IDW team relieving themselves over the paper. FACT.

I find the Spider-Man homage cover of Megatron a bit... odd :eyebrow:

I'm surprised the decision wasn't taken to have Galvatron in there; it'd have rounded out the homage nicely.

Er, Generation 2 sucked, dude! It's best forgotten.

I read this comic yesterday. Megatron got shot in the forehead. This is similar to what happened in my story:

(see the final quarter of the story).

OMG something similar happened to one of the characters in The Departed too! SHANE MCCARTHY IS A THIEF!!!!!!11111one.

Cheers for the unlabeled spoiler, though. Now I have to do some actual ****ing moderating. You're on the shitlist!

Sorry about the spoil - I didn't think carefully enough.

I was pointing something out.

I don't think I was plugging because that would imply that I anticipated some sort of gain. I didn't expect any kind of gain, not even a good feeling.

If you say '****ing', shouldn't you say '****list' too? Kids and parents may be reading.

I don't know 'The Departed'. Was Megatron in it?

It wouldn't be "****ing*, it would be "****thing" or "*****ing". Shit isn't on the autocensor, anyway. "****" is, and so is "****".

If there are any kids reading, they're probably more upset by someone thoughtlessly posting spoilers in order to plug their fanfic than by a word they hear every day unless they're in a 1940s boarding school or something. Better shoes than that are needed if you're going to make a scramble for the moral highground.

Megatron, incidentally,
was shot in the head in UK #244, way back in the 1980s, and was also possibly shot in the face during "Starscream's Brigade", though the latter could be my memory going for the funny

Your post served no purpose other than to point out that X event in recent media bears a striking resemblence to an event in one of your fanfics, handily providing a link at the same time. Something you make a habit out of, no matter how inane the similarity. The fact that it's not even an uncommon thing in this instance just makes the plug kinda sad - seriously, I could be here all year just listing characters that's happened to. The world of fiction is a finite number of ideas repeating in different configurations... something as innocuous as this is not worth the time I've spent writing this sentence.

Do this again in one of my forums and I'll just delete your post.

Lots of parents are reading. Lots of kids are reading - I'm somebody's kid and I'm not offended by it. I didn't put a single asterisk in my last post, and I ain't responsible for configuring the autocensor. If I was, then it wouldn't blank out part of the word S****horpe.

I don't know 'The Departed'. Was Megatron in it?

Ha.

To add to this:

If you want to advertise your fan fiction you are more than welcome to put a link to the appropriate threads in your sig. However, dropping off-topic links to the stories in totally unrelated topics comes off as quite obnoxious. You would get the same reaction if you posted a link to your (hypothetical) thread in the Trade forum every time someone mentioned a character you were trying to flog a toy of. It annoys the people who are trying to have an on-topic conversation and it actually makes people less likely to read your story than if you hadn't managed to irritate them.

Please find a less-intrusive way to advertise your stories in the future.
