With Quick Switch not yet formed, my most active character is Sky Lynx... He's a titan among Transformers, as big as Omega Supreme and very powerful. I thought about shrinking him in size, but his titanic form is one of the things that makes him intimidating.
The trouble I'm having is, with him being my most active character, heroic and very powerful, he wants to be at every battle, wants to help his fellow Autobots, and naturally, wants to show off.

I can't bring the big guns to every single battle or suspicious event--but it would be out of character for him not to butt his nose in and try to save the day. Right now he's still got wounded to be unloaded. I could send him on a super secret mission, but not just yet.

It pains me to say this, as I love the magnificent Sky Lynx very much, but maybe he's better off being a part-time character for you? Indeed, having him show up for every adventure the 'Bots go on should give them an automatic victory--but seriously, it might be overkill for him to do so. But I can understand what you're saying. It's in his nature to do things, to be very active.

You could always use this opportunity to take it easier with Sky Lynx and introduce the Terrorcons into the game (I don't think Warcry will mind if you use them a little earlier than originally intended). I know I can't wait to see what you do with them. :)

Other than that, I'm pretty much of no help to you. lol

Sky Lynx might find that his huge size is a hindrance and find a way to make a smaller body of himself, maybe? Instead of alternating between 'can fit ten Autobots' and 'slightly larger than Ultra Magnus' like in the cartoon, maybe he takes a size that's the halfway mark?

Maybe because of energy considerations?

(Or, considering how big a jerk Sentinel is, budget cuts)

'Cause Omega Supreme, being the Ark(?) and all, is supposed to be the end-all-and-be-all in terms of size as of now, IIRC, at least until the Maximi and Metroplex come along...

Just saying, because large characters tend to be hard to interact to and everything.

Part of Sky Lynx's uniqueness is because he's so big. Big and prideful. His size makes him formidable, but it's also a handicap in that he can't physically go where most other Transformers can, especially in civilian life. He's very different and if he wasn't so skilled and a renowned War Hero, he'd be shunned for being a freak of nature.

I was going for the largest size in the G1 cartoon. His size varied considerably in it. Even his split forms are pretty big, but I'm playing that subspace shrinks them a bit for manouvreability. They're still very large. I might have to shrink his Dinoblast mode

Sky Lynx being a living shuttlecraft to escort wounded to saftey gives him something to do without unbalancing combat scenes. He could also transport materials

Energy concerns are a possibility too. Sky Lynx requires a lot of energon, but he wastes it like it was water, and the only justification for it is how accomplished he is. I could see him being grounded from flight or even leaving the War Academy unless it was absolutely necessary if he went over his energon allotment too many times. He doesn't just fly around constantly, he also moves and leaps on the ground. He's never still, even off-duty. Not that there's an off-duty for him. ;)

I don't think he'd consent to a smaller body. He's very prideful, and his technology is complicated.

I'll find ways to keep Sky Lynx occupied, but you're right... It might be a good iea to shelve him for a bit sometimes...but he can't be developed that way. lol

Warcry suggested the Terrorcons not be introduced until the arrival to Earth. It's a better idea, imo.

Omega Supreme is actually significantly larger than the Fortress Maximus that Brave Max pitched to me, and so much bigger than Sky Lynx that the two aren't really comparable. More than that I won't say just yet, because it would spoil the fun of the big reveal when he shows up. :glance:

In the old comics, Sky Lynx seemed to be more interested in exploring the unknown, expanding his horizons and pushing himself past his personal limits than he was in fighting. Is it possible that your version of Sky Lynx might have the same trait, and that he might decide to actively look for other ways to help the cause because he's just tired of kicking ass all the time?

Another thing to consider is that (with Omega Supreme tied up serving as the Autobots' home base) Sky Lynx is probably the only long-range transport they've got. He'll be called on every time they want to visit somewhere in the solar system other than Earth...and in other solar systems as well, if they can ever build a viable space bridge.

I'm not familliar with the TF comics. Sky Lynx as an explorer also works perfectly well too. It's not that he goes around picking fights, he just wants to save the day and bestow his glorious presence on others. Though he does like kicking ass. Deep space exploration and transport works great. :)

If Omega Supreme is as big as I think he is, no way is Sky Lynx that big.

In the comics Sky Lynx never carries around Transformers inside him. He's just a space shuttle that ferries humans around, about approximately 1.5x the size of a normal transformer, which is a wee bit bigger than the likes of Optimus Prime.

I swear Sky Lynx is a walking PA system crossed with a superhero complex, crossed with a small zoo crammed into a shuttlecraft. Somehow you get a Lieutenant Commander out of that.
