With all the experimenting going on in Kaon, Flywheels could be an attempt by Team Science to duplicate Sky Lynx's technology with spectacularly poor results.

What are we waiting for, let's fix Mindwipe, give Finback his shell, upgrade Blitzwing, say 'screw it' to anybody Team Science missed...

I think that's a little too much, too soon, Blackjack. Sky Lynx is special for a very specific reason, and attempts to duplicate it probably result in what poor Flywheels is going through. Sixshot with six componant modes, you just end up with a reverse-combiner.
Even Sky Lynx has trouble being in two places at once if his modes are too far apart, but he hasn't used his Sky/Lynx forms yet. Sixshot with six split forms? He almost stops being a six-changer at the point. Just my two cents.
