I've posted a few things he's done here and there, and own a few more than that, but recently TFW posted a brief interview on their mainpage (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/site-updates-18/tfw2005-creative-spotlight-fakebuskers-shapeways-projects-176039/) for him, so I figured it was time I'd draw some attention for him here as well.

Shapeways is, roughly, like a youtube for 3D printing. Anyone can upload a design and pay to have it 'printed', and anyone else with an account can have copies made on demand. Fakebusker83 is a fellow that posts primarily in the TFW Radicon custom forum about making custom weapons, hands, accessories and the like for a variety of figures. There's very much a do-it-yourself quality to Shapeways orders, but being able to "complete" figures is wonderful. Not to mention fully-transformable Frenzies (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/389941-thugger-twins.html), Ravages, (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/515623-purrdator-shapeways.html) and Laserbeaks (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fakebusker83/sets/72157628358133257/) for the original War for Cybertron Soundwave!

Here's his collected works thread (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-fan-art/384034-fakebuskers-shapeways-thread-october-2012-creative-spotlight.html) on the Radicon forum. Well worth a thorough look, I think.

Neat designs, but the finishes on the printed products have a long way to go.

Depends on the material. Higher resolution holds more detail but is fairly brittle. More irobust material is a bit fuzzy. And of course what can do both costs so much that it is not even offered. But the whole operation can provide wonderful supplements for figures that are missing obvious accessories.

This is quite interesting... obviously it's freeform and rough, but some people might be able to prototype or overbuild and file things down...

There's also echotransformer working on a kit for FOC Bruticus (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/777746-shapeways-foc-bruticus-upgrade-kit-more-game-accurate.html), including all parts fitting together to make a trailer for Onslaught. Here's the most recent update/version. (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/777746-shapeways-foc-bruticus-upgrade-kit-more-game-accurate-9.html#post9139253)
