Us, Cliffy J, Lola... Notabot...? Warcry (I think)...? Everyone I'm forgetting...?

Wherefore art thou?

I look forward to the first Grandparents.

[Which might not be too far off depending on when you all started knocking them out, there's at least a couple of people I went to school with whose own sprogs are only two or three years from being able to procreate legally. With the emphasis on the legally].

Not yet, unless my wife has some really good hiding spots to keep them in.

I like to make my sister feel old by telling her that my kids will be the same age as her grandkids (not entirely out of the question since her oldest is now twelve).

Yeah, you forgot me. Grandparents still very far though.

You can definitely remove the question mark from mine. I have four kids (12, 10, 8, and 1.5) with a fifth due in November. We're keeping up with the Gaffigans.

You forgot me as well! I have two kids, ages 3 and 1. My little girl started pre-school today!

Hey, you know how your wife never lets you up in the attic? And you often hear an unearthly wailing from up there? And that you're life is a nineteenth century Gothic novel?

I think we should sort out some arranged marriages ( for when they're old enough obviously, I am not a sick man) between the various children.

I've got two of 'em.

Yes, but what about children?

Well worth the double post.

I have three:

The first
The only
And the last one

We've been pretty certain that we will have one more after Babes, and mayyyyyybe a third eventually. I'm pretty certain I want three, though.

I wanted zero when I was young, thought two might be nice once I was married. Never ever ever thought I'd have four, much less five. But it's pretty awesome.

I didn't want any when I was younger, either. I was barely an adult myself when I was in my 20's. I knew I might change my mind, though for a long time I was pretty certain I wouldn't. But, yeah. I did. Obviously. :p

That's cause the maturity to be a good parent usually isn't there in your 20s. Most are still a pretty self-absored lot at that time!

I honestly can't imagine having three or more. I feel like when the kids start to outnumber the parents, you're done for!

It's not there far later in many people, or indeed in many people that do reproduce. World'd be better if more people could realistically judge their own competence and enthusiasm and in the absence of one or both had enough self-control to not go ahead simply because they feel a clock ticking or an obligation to a partner or family.

Wanting kids is a great starting point, mind, there's just a lot of "non-parents would never understand" truistic bullshit that gets tossed around.

BAM WRONG, does not compute, cannot happen in like 99% of the cases.

And it's a cultural thing as well. In Greece for instance, you'd extremely rarely find parents around or under 25.

In the UK, all the people I've seen with a baby or a youngster so far are 25 or under. I've got colleagues my age with two kids. I just can't imagine myself having a three/five year old at the moment.
