This company effectively did what I tried to do, small-scale, while living in Greece.

Nippon-Yasan (http://www.nippon-yasan.com/)

Basically a French guy living in Japan.

Japanese retail prices and there's an option for delivery to Europe with all customs/import included, for about the same cost as EMS.

Soundblaster for 60odd pounds (http://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures-transformers/5832-transformers-masterpiece-mp13b-soundblaster.html)

And their Transi-logistic (http://www.nippon-yasan.com/content/1-delivery) shipping method supposedly includes no additional charges. Shipping with the slower of the two methods, for one Soundblaster, was around 20 pounds.

Total of around 86 pounds, shipped to your door, for MP Soundblaster [my example], with UK retailers charging 110+ before shipping?

What do you guys think? For that amount I'm seriously tempted of just giving it a try.
