eg, Scoop shipped to the UK for under a tenner.

Unless I'm missing something painfully obvious, it says US only.

"This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S."

I haven't gone through all of their listings, and Marketplace will obviously be up to individual sellers.

Yeah, but still if you click on the free shipping details at the top of the screen, it states that you have to pick a shipping address in the 50 states.

Or it could be me being a complete newb with amazon.

No, you don't get free shipping, but ten bucks list price plus UK shipping on a deluxe figure from Amazon themselves is under ten quid (edit: with the offer they're running, which was a bit extra off -- that may have ended by now; it's still offering me Scoop shipped for eleven quid). Total for Scoop when I ordered was nine fifty.

Yup, just ordered Scoop myself. No problems came to just under 10. Bargain.

Why is it that Amazon.com is occasionally open to UK consumers and other times not? Is it just when there's overstocks, or is it to protect domestic markets or something? If tis the latter, then thats fair enough.

You rat bastards.

This, coupled with Sandstorm yesterday, pushed me over.

Lots of stuff bought.

I hate you all.

EDIT: Actually, I don't hate you. You continue to be my friends. Quickest buyers remorse in the history of marketing. Cancelled the entire thing.

As stated numerous times, since living on my own, paying for my rent, bills, savings etc, I think I've become completely disinterested in the money to result ratio in these collectibles. Hmmm.

Books, DVDs, CDs, etc. are generally internationally available by default, it seems, but other categories it's up to Amazon staffers to mark stuff correctly.

Not under any illusions of being likely to keep Scoop, it was just curiosity. Retail therapy versus doing something workwise I've come to the conclusion I probably need to get out of to retain any sanity.

Nice prices, but with the possible exception of Whirl (and it's the leg issue that puts me off) there's nothing there I'm really keen on.

Pics of how to fix the legs in the review forum thread -- it's a bit fiddly but worth doing as the figure in general is ace.
