HOLY SWILL!!! They read my mind! Is this for real?

It won't seem real until I'm holding the dvds in my hands.

Wow!

That's actually not a bad price at all...

ThunderCracker84 2002-02-12 05:15 AM

Sweet

Jetfire 2002-02-12 06:32 AM

Nice. I intend to get.

Mirage 2002-02-12 06:49 PM

WOW! thumbs up to Rhino for the R1 set

*looks at the Maverick guys releasing G2 DVD and twiddling thumbs sat next to complete transaformer episode collection*

WOW! thumbs up to Rhino for the R1 set

Now all I need is to pray for Maverick to match/better this or sell my current dvd player (which is a useless hunk of metal anyway) and get proper multi-regional one.......

The Wild One 2002-02-13 07:54 PM

After hearing that, I think its time to get wild!!!!!!!

Rhino is a US-based company, which holds the license for distributing Transformers (G1, BW, BM, RID and future properties(?) ) on any home video format in the US only.

Pioneer - Japan
Maverick - UK
Malofilm - Canada
Rhino - US
Madman(?) - Australia [Madman only recently aquired the movie rights. It could be only the movie... and/or series. I bet if the TFTM DVD sells well, then the series will come out on DVD there too.]
Not sure about other places, though.

Better than nothing.

Got some DVD ep's before america and will get the whole series 1 (my fav) soon enough. I aint to bothered by sepcial features and the picture quality on vol was very clear, so I coudlent ask for more really:)

Grandmaster Shockwaeve 2002-02-18 05:28 AM

I guess 3 DVD's means that "Villains" won't be included after all, which is good... I guess this means there'll be 5-6 episodes per disc, which is much more sensible...

Denyer 2002-02-18 10:11 PM

I'm still waiting...

...for the 98 episodes on one DVD, at around 50-75. I mean, they'd be at least VHS quality. It'll never happen, but I think it would sell well.

It will be included. It says so on Rhino's Info Help page, or at least did the last time I checked (been awhile). The most likey episodes count will be 6/5/5 on a dual-layer disc.

word, i was worried about the price... but 60 is all good.

yakumo 2002-03-02 04:02 PM

Sorry peeps, but is been a lonnng time since I posted, but the reason being the stupid amount of work I been doing, and the added fact of traveling across Europe having something to do with it as well...

Anyway good news Amazon are taking preorders for the set now!!
