IDW's biggest claim to fame is probably is Jon Sable, Freelance,
Grimjack, Despardoes (sp?), Wyona Earp, and 30 Nights.

They also publish comic based on Metal Gear Solid, Castlevaina, Angel, 24, CSI, and now Transformers

Yeah, pretty much my response.

The question on the lips of most people is whether the existing mini-series are likely to be wrapped up or whether there are legal issues.

Cliffjumper 2005-05-19 02:40 PM

Who cares? They're not ****ing Devil's "G.I.Joe versus the Transformers" Due. I like them already.

Ozz 2005-05-19 02:42 PM

If those guys can handle other licensed properties, they might be a good choice after all. That of course depends who they get to work on it.

Let's wait and see.

I'll hold my opinions til creative teams start getting announced...

Cliffjumper 2005-05-19 03:20 PM

IDW? Incognito Dream Wave?

Statue of Liberty?

DAMN YOU! THIS IS OUR PLANET! YOU DID IT! YOU BLEW IT ALL UP!

DrSpengler 2005-05-19 03:49 PM

I'm still waiting for IDW to release General Mill's Massacre!

Transfannabeel 2005-05-19 04:01 PM

Well wasn't expecting them to get the license. I've heard of IDW before, but yet to read any comics published by them. I think I'd have to see who's the creative team and what titles they're going to publish first.

Nevermore 2005-05-19 04:26 PM

They waited an extra 90 minutes for THIS?

Osku 2005-05-19 04:26 PM

What to comment? Honestly, not much of a news. Quite a long time before the comics are available.

You are in violation of misquoting the Heston. Correction to follow.

YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!

Nitpick achieved. Thread may now commence.

The comic books are expected to include the classic Generation One (G1) storyline, as well as new plotlines and new series, and would be distributed to a wider audience through comic book outlets, trade bookstores and mass retailers.

Well, I'm in.

I hate having to crawl all over town to find the comics. Even when I do find a shop that has them, they might have one or two old ones.
