We should have a stickied YouTube thread... Just with some notice saying we've seen all the Transformers fanmixes and that Gobots ass-rape clip...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vM6G1ud6Qr0 - The best of the old ITV Digital ads, if only for the phrase "Incorrect, tubbyman!" that I always intend to use on here, but always chicken out in case the person I'm jovialy correcting is some fat bastard

Mitchell and Webb: -

http://youtube.com/watch?v=FsNLbK8_rBY - "Are we the baddies, Hans?"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=EPWpD4fap3M - Best superpower ever.
NSFW http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZDNgmdGMpuY - My personal favourite from the series, the best of those little inbetween sketches bits.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iUMWy4hqAg - The Greatest TV theme tune of all time. This isn't a cue for debate, it's a stone-cold fact. Wait until 0:59

Couple of Chris Morris' best pastiches:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=wVibsNPXBx0 - Blouse on Myra Hindley [probably helps if you know of Hindley and Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, TBH]
NSFW http://youtube.com/watch?v=b_aU3TeDMnE - Fur-Q. COCK-BITCH-COCK-BITCH-MOTHER****ER.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=8d9C5KHP5z0 - Nirvana sell out.

Plus of course, Good AIDs and Bad AIDs - NSFW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFNs2mOkKzc

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Bed-pnf6oGY They don't all have to be funny. A stunning performance. Okay, Carlos Alomar's pretty damn funny.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=00EW7dY4JE0 Obligatory Gilles/Rene joust.

EDIT: Important note for cutting and pasting. Best if you spell the original right, yes?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ixHO1A9vzI - best episode of Futurama ever, fact.

This particular song stands out for 2 parts, 1.25 (ish) Bender finally admitting that the use of Irony had been correct (what prompted me to look for this) and Zoidberg's disbelief that everyone's ad-libbing at 2.25

Besides that it really proved the absolute quality of Futurama.

In the words of Nixon... AROOOOO!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JW4Y3Wivmg - L7 on The Word (slightly NSFW)

( http://www.rodjanefreddysongs.com/ -- isn't nostalgic obsession wonderful... no matter the subject, there's probably someone out there... )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q-N4_tQ1R8 - this is bat country

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Jj-S8f2DfM - my favourite bit of Spaceballs

Never bothered finding out whether that's actually Tia Carrere singing, but I've always thought that's a genuinely superb cover... Blitz is one of the few songs that works really well as an amped-up cover...

The cynic in me questions how a cover would win a music contract, though. Actually, the cynic in me notes that's how most music contracts are awarded...

Star Fleet Closing Credits Theme - The best kids theme tune ever made

She's certainly never held a guitar before in her life even if it is her voice...

One of the great uplifting film endings of all time. Am I the only one who prefers the second one? The Star Trek Rock bit is worth the price of the DVD by itself.

I found this rather sweet:

From wikipedia

Quote:

After appearing in the 1991 action film Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and Showdown in Little Tokyo, she emerged into the public spotlight when cast as Cassandra, a rock singer and love interest of Mike Myers' character Wayne in Wayne's World (1992) - a role she reprised the next year in Wayne's World 2. A trained singer, Carrere performed all of her own songs in the two films, and the Wayne's World soundtrack features her vocals.

Carrere has continued to nurture her singing career. In 1993, her first solo album, Dream, was released, and went platinum in the Philippines. That same year, she was featured on the soundtrack of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, performing the ending theme, "I Never Even Told You". In August of 2003, Carrere was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and she is reportedly working on a new album in her home studio.
Funny thing about what you said there Tom...here in this wonderful country of America we have a little show that consists of nothing but upstarts winning a contract by performing bad covers :(

Don't recognise the music, but it's a fun look back -- mostly to stuff I barely recall, being more familiar with the novels...

I'm not quite sure, I was directed to it by a friend and one of my brothers. From what I've read it was an April Fools Day thing for this year.

Here's the original "My Humps." Sadly, I don't think there's one drop of irony or sarcasm here. It actually had some serious radio time here I guess. What kind of filth and smut do they call music? In my days...

It's the music the 10th Doctor choose his outift to. There's a longer version sung by Devine Comedy Bloke (who also did the song in the last Crimbo special as well) on the Soundtrack album. Inflatable Dalek's fab fact of the Day!
