Yeah, something like that. I use a craft knife. The plastic isn't not hard to cut, so be careful don't put too much pressure on it.

Just cut the boottom off so the weapons can fully slide in. I did mine couple days ago and don't see any problem. Maybe a little careful when putting in and out but so far they are pretty stable....
