Default Re: Rate these comic book movies.

First thing. Note that I've not read any of the comics, so I'm just gonna talk about the films themselves.

Superman - I didn't like this that much. Possibly because I was too young to appreciate it. I'll probably rewatch it sometime.

Batman - Not seen it.

Spider-man - I liked this one a lot. It had a good story, decent effects, and Kirsten Dunst. Very entertaining

X-men - Not as good as Spiderman, but it was a good, fun few hours. I didn't like the Cyclops character though. He was an ass.

Batman Returns - Not seen it.

Superman 2 - My favourite of the three Superman films by a long shot. I liked the three villains - they was cool.

Flash Gordon - Didn't enjoy this much. It was just too cheesy.

From Hell - Not seen it

Ghost World - Ditto

Men in Black - Very funny and enjoyable, Will Smith at his best, and Tommy Lee Jones was awesome too

Blade - I really enjoyed this one. Plenty of action, lots of bullets, and Steven Dorff was great as Deacon Frost.

Blade 2 - Darker than the first, and certainly more 'comic book' in style. I prefered the characterisation of Blade in this one. Cat was cool, and Leonor Varella... mmmmm.... Ahem.

Tank Girl - Not seen it.

Superman 3 - Didn't enjoy this one at all.

Batman forever - This was good. Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carey were great, and I enjoyed the gadgets.

Batman & Robin - From the point of view of characters and plot. This was crap. But unexplicably, I enjoyed it. Go on, shoot me.

Batman the movie (Adam west version) - Not seen it.

Oh and can we stop with the 'but you forgot about...' posts? First, Jetfire might not have cared about those titles, and second, you could be here for bloody ever. Thanks.

I found God. Then I lost him. He'll probably turn up down the back of the sofa someday.

These are just titles that we feel deserve mentionong that were left out of the original post. They are comic book films and this thread is about comic book movies.

ghost world-really good. steve buscemi was unbelievable in that movie.

batman-a classic. must see.

batman returns-had it's moments, but on the whole, not as good as the original.

batman forever-the beginning of the end.

batman and robin-joel schumaker (sic?) is the devil.

batman (adam west)- worth seeing once. only once.

hulk-.........nick nolte?

x-men-decent, some things i would have changed.

x2-loved it. much better than the original. loved nightcrawler. loved pyro. love the fact that wolverine gets shot in the head and everyone just shrugs it off. "oh, look. logan just got capped." " anyway, i says to the guy......"

spider-man-loved it. can't wait for the sequel (just so long as they don't fall into the batman trap.)

superman-have to say the first two ruled and after that i just stopped caring.

more when i have time.

tank girl-enjoyable. not the greatest movie, but not the worst.

men in black-pretty damn good. made all the more enjoyable by the fact that it came out of NOWHERE.

men in black 2- so-so, could never have lived up to the hype. plus, not a big fan of laura flynn-boyle.

flash gordon-not good enough to watch every other week, but enjoyable on certain occasions.

from hell-not bad.

blade-loved stephen dorf in this movie. he was too good.

blade 2-meh.

dick tracy-not bad. madonna was hot.

the rocketeer-jennifer connelly.........................*drool*

the crow-yeah. just yeah.

the crow: city of angels-no.

the punisher-makes my head hurt just thinking about it. course, i've never been a big frank castle fan. hopefully, the new one in production will be better.

captain america-scary.

the return of the incredible hulk-funny as hell. i was in stitches..........oh.........wait.......that's not what they were going for? never mind. HUGE piece of ****.

teenage mutant ninja turtles-defined my childhood. probably one of the few times a live action movie involving talking animals that was actually worth a damn. plus, casey jones.

tmnt 2: secret of the ooze-not quite as good as the original, but still pretty good. would have liked to have seen bebop and rocksteady, though.....

tmnt 3-meh.
