That would be a first...

You're not by any chance confusing him with the upcoming Hound reissue, of whom there's gonna be the inevitable e-Hobby repaint named Detritus?
Yup.. thats' it. I guess I just got the 2 mixed up. I haven't been around in a while and haven't kept up with the board... been too busy playing the new PS2 Transformers game!

Cool

Up at eBay now:

Two auctions, same pics. Some are the same we saw before; however, some are new.

Those auctions state that they are prototypes and will not be sold in the future nor in department stores. I was curious as to how this rumor was started. I see that Remy noticed some pics of a white Hound Alternator.. but it doesn't sound like this will be an actual production model. Although I do like the front bars on the grill. If it is an all white vehicle it would look pretty good.. (instead of that back green area)

No. the auction actually says "This item will not be released in near future."

This simply means the finished toy won't be released like next month.
The auction for the Dead End test shot by the same seller has a similar text, which in this case is even wrong (Dead End WILL be released in the near future). It does NOT mean "it's just some funny proto, but we'll never gonna see a finished version for it in stores". It ONLY means "Finished version won't be released within the next few months."
