I watched Joe draw quite a few sketches at OTFCC last summer and thought he was pretty good. I've certainly seen much worse art in comics and definitely much worse art on TF comics...

I'm assuming we'll get a fairly clear and balanced run-down of what happened from Furman at some stage...

(Tangent: perhaps if W&P had been flagged an ongoing from the start, it would've received the few extra issues' space it needed.)

Most DW artists suffer from the obligation to follow the company's president's style, although they could actually do a lot better (well, most of them, that is).

Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Mmm. And what passes for inking at DW did little justice to Wildman's pencils.

I don't think Joe Ng's all that bad. He could use a bit more practice, but it's not as if he's developed a whole style that looks awful like Pat Lee or draws so that you can't tell what the hell is going on in any given scene like Jae Lee.

Which is why Don Figueroa and James Raiz' stuff looked markedly different? Besides which, that doesn't change that Ng and Ruffolo turned out some absysmal work. There's a two-page spread in one of his Energon issues that's genuinely stomach-turning. Now, I have seen some of his fan art, and it is much better. But then we've all seen some of Pat's poster work, and that puts his strip work to shame.

As for getting a breakdown off Furman... hahahaha... nice idea, but Furman only says what his bank account wants him too.

Yeah, someone should mention this stuff a bit more shouldn't they?

as of this week Dreamwave assets and employees were shifting over to a new company called DreamEngine, started by Roger Lee, Pat's brother.

The dreamengine.ca domain was registered in Roger's name on the 9th of December, to the same address that DreamWave is registered to.

UPDATE: 4th January 2004: I understand that yesterday a number of people received e-mails from Dreamwave clarifying its current status, though in a pleasant, appreciative tone. An official announcement of Dreamwave's status is expected today.
Right now, http://www.dreamwaveprod.ca/ cannot be found, whilst http://www.dreamengine.ca/ points to a placeholder page.

It's not looking like a good time to be a DW creditor & creator...
