Anywho, now that I've sketched you all out, I've been looking at both BB's and I honestly can't tell you which version I prefer. Another funny thing is that as I divorce myself more from being a tf fan and lean more towards considering myself a toy collector, the designs have started to grow on me. The modern Camaro version wins out, I think, based on that sweet blue blade . . .

It's funny. Even as a kid, I hated Bumblebee, but his classics figure was sweet enough to make me like it, in spite of my feelings for his character. I ended up coming up with my own characterization, I was so impressed and so desired to have him play a useful part in my TFU. I'm also very impressed with his movie figures, and it's clear that Hasbro's never letting go of this particular trademark, ever again, as long as they have a TF line.

Maybe that's the case, but I have a special place in my heart for short, pretty girls, with a little extra junk in the trunk.

So, I'm sure you all know I've succumbed to the movie toys, by now. Um . . . when's this version of BB supposed to be out? I'm forgoing the other version to get this one.

In other news: Oooooooh! Ahhhhhh!

Who's that, and when can I get him? EDIT: I've been told that's Dreadwing. Sounds good to me. That's one sweet jet mode.

Sorry about the bump, but it just dawned on me that I didn't know when to expect this wave, and I don't think I've seen pics of the jet I just pointed out, yet.

I've been gradually securing my own copies of the movie toys as they've only just arrived in New Zealand. (The preview Starcream and Optimus have been here for awhile and I didn't really like the looks of those). I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the line, and quite overwhelmed by the sheer amount of toys as well. I really only want the ones that are actual Transforming toys, I'm not sure about the 'real gear' toys, and all the other weird ones. The cartoony G1 Statue things are nice, but I don't think I'll get them.

Maybe I'll get the Optimus Prime mask! But then again, maybe not. I'm really looking forward to them releasing the rest of the line. There hasn't been ANY Megatrons released yet, or Ultimate Bumblebees. Which is okay coz I don't have to blow all my money in one go.

Jet for display - yes. Robot mode - no. Looks good, but I must admit that, when I saw the design for what I assumed were generalised Seekers in the movie preview comic, I couldn't get Shockers out of my mind.

Smile 2008 Camaro Bumblebee review at tformers.com

tformers.com (same place as before) now has a review of the 2008 Camaro Bumblebee. Better pictures, and correct transformation! http://tformers.com/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=799
I may not be interested in the figures, but this one isn't half bad. Has an Alternator quality about it. Nice

Can't wait for this one.

I picked up the '74 version. His robot mode's pretty cool, but I don't particularly like his weapons. I can't decide between on the shoulder or in the hands, as I want him to be armed, but they just don't fit. Probably would've been better with a non-missile gun.
