Default Prime's Japanese Designer

In the director's commentary on the DVD, Bay mentions a famous Japanese Designer by the name of "Cagey" (or Kagey, or K.G.?) who designed Optimus Prime and is the Rubik's cube genius of Transformers.

Anyone know who this is? I wanted to read up more and look at this person's previous work, but not knowing an actual name with spelling makes it difficult to find.

Thanks

Both from Google for Keiji, which sounded more Japanese.
