I saw it this weekend!

Instant "buy DVD" film, for me. It's no Clerks, but that might be a good thing, in some ways.

I'm too lazy to write all about my favourite bits, so I'll just wait until someone mentions something I want to discuss... if you love a film that makes you laugh, then go see this. One thing I would caution however- we ran into the problem that the audience laughed so long and so loud that we actually missed bits of dialogue. That got to be a bit annoying after awhile... but that's my only complaint so far.

Haven't seen it yet, but the reviews I've read are...not good...then again, it is running at 65% fresh on rottentomatoes.com.

There are indeed large banners on the side of local buses proclaiming the full title of this movie.

I expect some kind of spluttering outrage when parents find themselves asked what is meant by 'a porno'. Obviously, the answer is to tell the kids it's a mis-spelling of 'al forno', but that has connotations all its own

I liked it. It delivered in the laughs department. The unfolding of the love story between Zach and Miri was very predictable, but it's a comedy, so that's not much of a problem. Also, I think Elizabeth Banks is a great comedy actress and think she will be in high demand for years to come.

My favorite parts were Justin Long and Brandon Routh as an arguing gay couple, and Jay explaining to Zach what a "Dutch Rowboat" is. At least I think that's what he called it.

Dutch Rudder....

Agreed! I saw it tonight and loved it. I wouldn't say its Smith's best movie, but one of them for sure. It was somewhat predictable at times, but too damn funny to care in my opinion. I loved the black guy though (not sure his name and can't be arsed to look it up) he was one of the best in the film for laughs. I was lucky that there were only like 5-8 people in the theatre since we went to an early showing, so not too much laughter to drown the movie, honestly I think some of the people were a bit appalled at it, judging from hushed comments I overheard.

My only gripe is that they should have stuck with the Star Whores theme and costumes as they were really too funny....
