The Dark Crystal

It's an animatronic/muppet masterpiece and set in a thoroughly conceived magical world.

That is a phenomenal movie. Not my fave, but a great one.

My favorite (or favorites) would have to be the Star Wars saga. Most notably The Empire Strikes Back. After that it would have to be Grumpy/Grumpier Old Men, and The Lord of the Rings.

City of Lost Children, Mother Night, Blade Runner, LA Story.
I'd love to see someone remake A Clockwork Orange and include the missing chapter. Still a great movie despite its many, many flaws, though.

Plan 9 From Outer Space, Outlaw Josey Wales, Suspiria, Star Wars Trilogy, Dawn Of The Dead (Original), Evil Dead, The Beyond, Django, The Devil Rides Out, Man With No Name trilogy, Versus, Azumi, Kevin Smith's movies.

I'm sure there are plenty more but this is what instantly came to mind. Can't narrow it down to one movie...but if I really had to based on amount of times watched..it would be Tim Burton's Ed Wood.

I am a nerd for the written word. The films look nice, but... ain't quite right, even accepting the necessity for reworking. Still, a full length, spot-on film would be phenomenally pricey and long.

Since other people are quoting more than one movie as a fave, I shall add Carry on Screaming, as mentioned afore in other threads.

The Pink Panther was supposed to be a comedy? I thought it was just two hours of peter Sellers doing his "hilarious" funny foreigner accent?

Cool

Three Colours White.

It's a brilliantly bonkers and uplifting film that is well worth a watch. So here's another link to sell it to you.

Ok, how about one more!

It's part of a lovely trilogy, you know. Right up there with Star Wars (eps IV, V & VI of course).

I always thought it was a shame they never got round to making those prequels. It's probably for the best, they probably would have turned out as fannish wank.

"Ghostbusters".

But in addition to that, I'm fond of "In the Mouth of Madness", "Nosferatu", "Watership Down", the Sleepy Hollow half of "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" and "Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan".

Singularly, I would have to say that the movie that has most resonated with me would be 1975's Jaws. It seems that every year, one movie comes out that really speaks to me, so I have a good 33 faves, but Jaws would be the one.
