Yes, but it only applies to 3P figures.

The TFC Constructicons looks awesome, but not more-awesome-enough to warrant a huge pricetag compared with the Takara Unite Warriors one. At least for me.

The DX9 Blitzwing looks phenomenal in robot mode, but I'd reserve any judgement until I see the tank and plane modes.

I'm mighty tempted to get them, but have severe reservations about how on earth a 20inches, die-cast, highly articulated combiner made of 6 different bots will stand.
The toyworld figures don't have diecast AFAIK. You're thinking of the Generation Toy Gravity Builder.

You're thinking of the Toyworld Constructicons; the TFC set was the first group that came out years ago.

Come on, people! Keep your Constructicons straight!

Apologies - there are just too many of them!

At least we can rely on you to keep a handle on them all.

Schooled, and rightfully so!

Went back to re-read the descriptions and they do not mention die-cast. Oh well. Bummer.

More pictures of that masterpiece-style IDW Stunticon set

Supposedly it's another company, but I wonder if it's a rebranded Warbotron? They were supposed to have a Stunticon set in the works that they skipped in order to get their technobot set out quicker.

Looks like Maketoys' version of Grapple is going to be exclusive to their website with a 3pc/order limit.

Not really giving enough away to form any opinions there...

My first instinct was to wonder if that was a bad move, but you know...it would actually make a ton of sense for the more established third-party groups to sell as much of their own stuff as they can, or even sell exclusively through their own stores. Even if they decided to undercut their retail-distributed competitors by a few bucks they'd still probably make double the margin per sale that they're getting now.

FT Stomp pre-production [?] review

Looks mighty, mighty solid. It's as if they incorporated all the complaints and issues from all the other dinobots into a solid solution.

Uber articulation on shoulders? Yes. Many, good faceplates? Yes. All sort of eye colours, yes. Locks on the hips so it does not sag like Scoria? Check. Fill up parts for underside of dino? Very unnecessary but check.

I am not the biggest Sludge fan, but this is a very, very fine figure from the looks of it.

Yeah, that's preordered now.

I think I was holding off after the whole "whoops we need to rethink the entire composition because it weighs more than Norway" thing and somewhere along the line totally forgot that it was even listed with places.

Yay Dinobotses.

Sunsurge, Anarchus and Mercenary [Shrapnel?] video reviews have started popping up.

I'm glad I did not PO Sunsurge. He makes Wardog/hog look pleasant to transform.

Anarchus is the standard MMC lore, looks easier to tf back and forth than Spartan.

Shrapnel is very akin to the Grenadier/Bombshell...chunky, simplistic, and "who the hell cares" when it comes to the insect legs.

Fanstoys Grinder/Grimlock test shot up

I really like what I'm seeing, and am glad I let my MP Grimlock go a couple of months ago.

Slated for December 2016 [lol]. Personally waiting for the Diaclone version.

I'm sure there'll be a market, but not feeling that one personally.

It's pretty similar to the Datsun and Lambo designs in terms of complexity. Managed to figure most of it out by looking at pics of what ends up where. The spoiler folding inside the body is nicely done as well.

Yeah, it's a bit more peg-and-clippy than the Takara stuff, but otherwise it's pretty much on a par in terms of complexity.

Back to lambo is a bit trickier, but nowhere near Wardog levels.

Agreed on the spoiler.

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!

Somebody's doing a Guzzle in scale with the Generations Wreckers.

Though on the downside it doesn't look like it transforms...

TBH my first thought was that the DOTM one probably wasn't a billion miles away from scale - wasn't it about GI Joe-sized?

Yeah, roughly level with the top of Spartan's knee guards. Always seen him as more of an ankle biter anyway, versus the steroid-y design Roche has gone for with Sins.
