To commemorate the closing of the only F.Y.E. that I know of in the state(there may be more, no clue where), I managed to score a few good things.

Ben-Hur: The 4 disc special edition which they’d apparently gotten in that morning(store is closing? Send them more stuff!) netted me both the Charlton Heston version and the 1925 version, as well as a lot of documentaries.

Batman(1966): On blu-ray. It was really cheap. And it’s not bad. Fun and campy.

They Live: Great movie. Lots of fun.

Hellraiser: The Scarlet Box

During a small personal financial crisis, I was forced to cancel my pre-order for this thing - only for it to be immediately sold out and fetch a pretty penny in the aftermarket, much to my chagrin.

But then Arrow secured the rights in their US market and released the exact same set stateside, allowing me to purchase it at about 60 dollars - while sellers on UK Amazon are still trying to flip it for about 300 pounds. And the only difference between the two releases is that the UK set is locked to region B, but the US set is both A and B.

I didn't buy the DVDs or anything but Sades and I just spent the last 5 nights watching the Mission Impossible films. The first 2 were kinda bad but the last 3 were pretty enjoyable.

Also I got Justice League and Thor Ragnarok and the Denji Sentai Megaranger set.

I bought the German blu-ray of Das Boot - the TV series version. Which, ironically, has probably been shown on TV far less frequently than the movie.

Also the new US DVD release of Great Mazinger. Unlike Mazinger Z which at least had a (really bad) bootleg out there, this is the first time to my knowledge this series has been available with English subtitles.

Twin Peaks: Limited Event Series on blu-ray, and oh boy is this one a doozy.

The original series was kind of a slow burner regarding it's reveal as more than just an ordinary murder mystery, but this one just throws you aboard the crazy train in the first episode.

Over the last month-ish, we picked up Justice League and The Last Jedi on blu-ray/digital.

I enjoyed Justice League. It got quite the bad rap from critics, etc., and I think that's somewhat justified, but I think most reviews were overly harsh simply because they were compared to the Marvel movies.

Not an acquisition, but I also watched Suicide Squad a couple weeks ago on Sling. Definitely not cinematic gold, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I don't think it's quite as horrid as most people made it out to be.

It's not that bad, once you headcanon Andy Dwyer over Peter Quill and accept that the female characters are a post-Buffy PC blandness overload. It's certainly better than either of the first two Avengers films, which I realise is a low bar.
