Painted Cybertron "Black Zarak" Energon Scorponok remold

Yup, that's the same "Black Zarak" that showed up in the Club Comic.

Before questions pop up:

1. Alvarez already CONFIRMED that this won't be a convention exclusive.
2. Action-HQ are listing it for preorder. In other words, he might just be Cybertron Ultra Class wave 1.5 or wave 2.
3. Hasbro recently (as of March 2005) renewed the "Scorponok" trademark, so his name might just be "Scorponok", unless Hasbro have another Scorponok toy in the works.

It looks... not as nice as I had hoped. Light blue parts don't fit in. Not saying it looks, but not nice enough to buy it. Prefer my Energon Scorponok.

Not as cohesive as the first one... can see what they were aiming for, though...

Heh, didn't I say, when this first surfaced, that it would make sense to repaint him as black Zarak? Good move though and damn he looks good. He's also apparently from Animatros

everyone said that he would look good as black zarak (JDP even made an exclusive with spear)

and since his alt mode is looking a lot like a scorpion (he's after all a Terrorcon) its kinda logic he's from Animatros


looking good he does, way better than Rainbow brite Scorponok, but just not as good as Mega Zarak

I really don't like the mold (not at its price-point anyway), and I certainly won't be interested because it's a nostalgic paintjob. Felt kind of the same way about Energon Ultra Magnus.

I like the paintjob but I don't know if I'm going to get it since I already have an Energon Scorponok. I don't think I'll fork over $30 just for a force chip gimmick and a new paintjob.

Wonder if and when he'll make it to Greece...looks fantastic. I'm going to buy him even though he's not a binaltech

I may pick one up, assuming they manage to move out all the existing Scorponoks from the stores around here...

I want him. Because 1. I'll never have the original and 2. I use Black Zarak as my handle just about everywhere else on the internet but here.

I liked the Scorponok mold already though, he's one of my favorite Energon molds.

Yeah, he's definitely one of the better molds. My favorite is Roadblock, which is strange, considering I despised Inferno. Maybe I just like yellow cranes . . . I do like Grappel more than the original Inferno, and I like Armada Smokescreen, even if he is pretty ugly.

Not to go wildly off topic, but I liked Roadblock more than Inferno too. I think it's the head.

"Black Zarak" definitely looks to have a better paintjob than Scorponok. I think the remolding on the tail looks better than the original's.

It could be. The head definitely looks better. I also like the fact that they put a handle on his gun so that he doesn't have to wear it on his arm.
