the one with the teen high school girls in schoolgirl outfits that collect giant mecha that represent various signs of the zodiak and/or elements. they fight in these mechs to save the world from unhappy feelings (and two of the girls are lesbians) ......wait thats like 90% of them*
*the other 10% being cowboy bebop which kicks ass.

One Piece? I do understand we have different tastes and all, but every minute of each episode had me either laughing or extremely addicted. Definitely not worthy of the title.
Digimon had very nice character development if you went with the japanese [or greek, which was dubbed from that] version. American version simply blowed. To that, I agree.
Don't know about the others, but pokemon isn't that bad either. Generally, bad anime = hentai. Everything else is fine.

Teen Titans is animated by Dong Woo Studio in Korea. My personal favorite animation studio (not their fault the writing for that show sucks), they also did/do The Batman, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, TMNT, Jackie Chan Adventures, Stripperella (1st season) and many others. Their animation is, usually, an excellent blend of Japanese and Western styles making it very unique, not to mention very detailed and fluid.
Now, before we start b1tching and moaning about what is and what isn't "true" anime (I'm no otaku so I couldn't really care, I just want to hear what some people think) can we get a definition of what "true" anime is supposed to be?
Otaku: It's not true anime unless it's drawn in Japan!
Spengs: GI Joe was drawn in Japan. The Real American Hero is Japanese?
O: No, it has to be drawn in Japan for a Japanese audience!
S: GI Joe was released in Japan.
O: No! It has to be written by Japanese people, drawn in Japan for a Japanese audience!
S: There were two Ninja Turtle OVAs written in Japan, animated in Japan and released only in Japan. But they were based on the American cartoons and comics.
O:No! It has to be written in Japan, animated in Japan, for a Japanese audience and it can't be based on anything American!
S: But wasn't Rurouni Kenshin animated in Korea? Aren't a lot of Japanese cartoons animated in Korea for a Japanese audience?
O:No No No! You don't get it! It doesn't matter if it's drawn in Korea, Anime is a style of drawing! If it's in that style then it's not anime!
S: So Totally Spies and Teen Titans are anime?
O: No! They can't be written by Americans but they have to be in that style!
S: So all the Hayao Miyazaki films aren't anime because they don't have midgets running around in circles and characters falling over whenever something "unexpected" happens?
O: NOOOO!!! You don't get it! You'll never be a cool otaku like me! Blargh!!
Someone please define anime for me.
