BT Swindle's bio translated, Alt Swindle out in Hong Kong

Post by Nevermore »

BT Swindle's bio, courtesy of Fan to Fan.

Alt Swindle up at eBay. Please note that the seller is located in Hong Kong, so please don't ask "WOW HE OUT IN US YETT WARE!!!!?!?!"

Still, it shouldn't be long until he pops up in the US as well, although Grimlock (who's already available in Hong Kong) is most probably going to be first.

EDIT:

Swindle system description. It's obviously which the Autobot he was originally planned as, even if we couldn't have told so already judging by the head...

EDIT: The "Exponential Generator" was Dr. Archeville's invention from "Countdown to Extinction".

BT story chapter 6.

Lord Chumleigh (spelling provided by me) is the hunter from "Prime Target". You might make a point that he's spelled rather "Chumley", but I went with the spelling used both by Ben Yee and The Cybertron Chronicle.
Shawn Berger Jr. (spelling provided by me) is from "Megatron's Master Plan".
Baron von Rani is the real name of Iron Klaw from G.I. Joe Extreme.
General Garrison "Blitz" Krieger is the enemy of Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles.

Ichikawa is a geek. Seriously.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Alternator Grimlock arrived on my doorstep last Monday along with Energon Grimlock and Swoop. Swindle is also on its way to me as well. Not had time to sort pics out yet cos my pc has just come back from repairs (have been viewing TF Archive via wap on a P900). @Nevermore. I will post the links asap if you want them. Hopefully, if I have the time they will be sorted by Sunday evening :D

ALL the Japanese bios are being written by fans, be it the reissues, the e-Hobby exclusives or the Binaltechs. In the latters' case, it's Hirofumi Ichikawa, who has so far stayed pretty cartoon-centric (Although he deserves kudos for coming up with "D.R. Faireborn" for the Meister chapter of the BT story).

I still hope Grimlock will lean a little more towards his G1 tech spec and the Marvel/DW comic version rather than the cartoon version...

That chapter 6 link doesn't work.:(

I really want to read it? How many Japanese people have ever even HEARD of GI Joe Extreme? Hell, not many Americans even know there was a Sgt. Slaughter and the Screaming Eagles home video (which I can't find anywhere)!

This guy puts my geekdom to shame.

Link didn't work earlier, does again now.

Regardless, here's a mirror.

By the way, Ichikawa-san posted at ATT today, complaining about the quality of F2F's translations... Stuff like "Sparks" and "outnumbered by the Decepticons" evidently weren't what he had in mind when he wrote the respective chapters. :\

I wonder what Mr. Yee's translations will be like. They do tend to be closer to what Mr. Hirofumi intended (although Mr. Yee does have a bit of an advantage over Fan2Fan in that regard).

So this is not an attempt to release a toyline for a GI Joe/Trasformer comic .. could be a good idea ..

If "Force Field Generator" isn't enough of a hint for you, Walky clearly pointed out who it is and who not.

This I know. However, it is Mr. Yee who posts the translations on his site, not Mr. Dlin. ;)
