Transformers:The Game - Opening Cinematic!!

Post by StoneCold Skywarp »

Step-3 have sent us the opening cinematic for the forthcoming Transformers:The Game. The intro presents 5.1 sound for those with nifty set-ups :)

Transformers : The Game Intro (Right-Click > Save As ...) 640x360 ~ 28MB
'High' Definition Trailer (Right-Click > Save As ...) 1280x720 ~ 104MB

For anyone who's seen the Marvel:Ultimate Alliance intro, this is by the same people & they've totally outdone themselves with this intro. It's the most beautiful thing in the entire galaxy...

Check out Sir Auros' preview of the game here!

The CG is fabulous. I hope the in-game graphics (on 360 and PS3, at least) approach that level of detail.

Only downside to me was the music...very generic.

Awww, my poor little laptop set-up. The Peter Cullen voice over is barely audible. But that's okay because, transformersgame.com has their own version, and the narrative is much clearer.

It's not your laptop, there's something wonky with the sound editing.

What voice over? (BTW, I'm using normal stereo and something other than WMP, so it may be a property of the 5.1 mix...)

****ing hell that looked good...

Well I know were my pay is going next month. Looks well tasty. Cant imagine even 360 graphics getting as good as the intro but its gives you a good idea of settings, and the level of detail and action thats gone into it.....Prime piggybacking on Megatron? How mad is that?

Listen really carefully. There's a Peter Cullen VO that is barely audible.

Mmm, it's just about there. I doubt very much that the version on the game site is six channel (it's certainly low or adaptive bitrate streaming) so I'd put it down to the channels used for the voiceover being marginalised in a stereo downmix that doesn't deliberately privilege them.

Whoo-hoo! Plus Mr Cullen's voice! I may yet become a fanatic gamesplayer.
