A peaceful territory on the western fringes of Autobot territory, Altihex is home to their main detention facility. Filled with dangerous criminals, Decepticon POWs and Autobot soldiers convicted of serious crimes, the prison is not popular among the local population.

Guard's Break Room, Sentinel Prime Detention Centre

As the secure door to the lounge slid shut, Downshift let out a ragged sigh.

"What a day," he said ruefully. "I swear, we'd be better off of we took the scum that we've locked up here, lined them up and landed a starship on top of them..."

Several other guards looked up from their datafeeds, energon or other distractions and made vague agreeable noises. Most of them had learned to ignore Downshift's grumblings by now.

(OOC: If you'd like to play prisoners, guards or anyone else, just shout. )

Break Room


Powerflash glared at Downshift

"Regulations specifically forbid us from harming, bullying , excessively intimidating or killing prisoners. It's all there in sub para 14 and 17 of the prison regulation act."

Bumblebee drove in via escort. "So why exactly am I being transferred?" Bumblebee asked the escort.

Break Room

"With all due respect, sir," Downshift told Powerflash, "it's attitudes like that that let these scumbags back out on the streets after they've served 1/3 of their sentences, free to wander around robbing, terrorizing and killing innocent civilians. Hang the regulations!"

Several other guards made agreeable noises, but did their best not to look Powerflash in the optics as they did so.

Ginrai Avenue

"The security centre really isn't set up for long-term detention," Clampdown told Bumblebee. "The lockup there is basically the equivalent of a drunk tank in a human police station. In Altihex you'll actually be able to talk to a JAG magistrate and maybe get a chance to have the charges against you dropped."

As the security officer spoke, the convoy moved across the Iacon-Altihex border. Hitting a major interchange, they turned north and headed toward the prison.

Powerdflash shook his head

"Without regulatins there is chaos and we would be no better than the Decepticons. If the regulations are properly applied the prisoners will serve their full terms unless they show contrition. Its a slapdash attitude to the rules that leads to them getting off. Not following proper investigative procedure or sloppy chain of evidence. That's what lets lawyercons get them off."

"Well..." The red minibot then paused moment, decided how to continue before go back to the conversation. "I was on a patrol shift or two then watched some races kinda disappointed. Looking if there's any work to be done then ran in with your guys on the way."

"So basically it's just a minor transfer?" Bumblebee said and transformed into robot mode, stopping in the street. "Anything I should know about this new place? Who to avoid, etcetra."

Ginrai Avenue

"I would avoid Downshift as much as I can," Clampdown told Bumblebee. "He can be a bit...overzealous when it comes to people accused of committing crimes." He wanted to say more but didn't, unwilling to mention the rumours of prisoner abuse and even murder that had started to filter down the pipe from the Altihex garrison with a reporter present.

To Warpath he said, "I'm not sure if you'll find anything interesting with us either, but you're welcome to tag along.

Solitary Confinement

Wildrider drummed his fingers against the wall of his cell, hoping the repetitive thumps would drive away the otherwise-oppressive silence that surrounded him.

It didn't work.

The Stunticon sat there for a few seconds, not moving at all. Then the right side of his face twitched and he vaulted up, throwing himself bodily against the thick steel door that held him inside. He fell back to the ground, but jumped up again with a demented roar and repeated the process again and again.

Downshift scowled at Powerflash as the noises from the solitary block filtered into the room.

"Oh, really?" Crossing his arms, the Omnibot jerked his head in the general direction of Wildrider's cell. "You think that psychopath in there is going to be all sweetness and light eight vorns from now when his sentence is up? Like the Pit he will, sir. He's killed dozens of innocent Transformers and countless humans. He almost killed two of my boys for no reason at all the other day, with nothing but a stylus and a cafeteria tray. What do you think he's going to do when he's back out on the streets?" Downshift shook his head. "No, all this rehabilitation nonsense that the left-leaning bleeding-sparks like to drag out, that won't make one bit of difference to someone like Wildrider. There's only one way to bring scum like him to justice, and that's through the barrel of a gun."

Powerflash jabbed a finger at Solitary

"that's what happens when you try and combine a prison with a prisoner of war camp. And i agree with you about Wildrider , we should have had a proper war crimes trial and had him executed by firing squad if it wasn't for being afraid of Decepticon retaliation we would have too."

"Avoid Downshift. Got it." Bumblebee spoke and transformed into vehicle mode again, continuing the convoy. "How far is the prison from here?"

Solitary

Conflagration thumped the partition wall between him and Wildrider's cell

"Quiet, for I am the god of hell fire and if not I will teach you to burn your charred paint peeling from your blackened carcass."

Break Room

"So, what, we should just forget about all of his crimes because it's not politically convenient?" Downshift shook his head. "I'm sorry, sir, but justice doesn't work that way. When we start compromising our principles for the sake of convenience we become no better than the criminals."

Solitary Confinement

Oh great, a crazy, Wildrider thought as he got back up to his feet.

"Now, now," he said to Conflagration, "don't be so snappy, buddy. Threatening me isn't going to get you out of that cell any quicker. It just means that I'm gonna have to put you down along with the guards when I get out. And I'm not gonna make it quick, either. Is that what you want?"

"Not far at all," Clampdown told Bumblebee. Activating his comlink, he hailed the prison. "Powerflash, this is Clampdown. We're inbound with your newest prisoner, about ten minutes away from the main gates."

Solitary Confiement

Dead End sat cross-legged on the floor of the solitary confinement. "I am doomed". he said to himself. "I am doomed. doomed. doomed. doomed. doomed." The Stunticon had no hope for himself. But then, he never had any in the first place.

Dead End looked around. The door that held him in the confinement is still there. He knew it wouldn't budge, so he wouldn't bother trying. "*sigh* When will this end? Primus claim me now!"

He wonders why he even bothers to shout. Everything will die and burn out. It is the law of nature.

Searchlight piped up from where he is sitting, "I think keeping these Decepticon freaks in solitary is starting to rub on them. Look at Wildrider, he is more insane than before. And Dead End here is given up hope. But then, the Decepticons are insane to start with. I say we beat them up."

Breakroom

Powerflash shook his head .

"that's not what I said. It wasn't me who decided we needed to tread softly. If it was my decision we would have had trials and very public ones for all the Stunticons and the rest of them if someone hadn't let them escape somehow ?"

Powerflash replied to his com

"Roger that we'll be ready to process him."

Powerflash glared at Searchlight

"Don't even think about it , we're not Decepticons."

He glanced at his list


"Searchlight go and get ready to greet our new arrivals at the main gate. Downshift what cells have we got available?"

Conflagration rocked back and forth laughing.

"oh yes come see me so I can introduce you to the sweet flame of fire. Then you will dance, dance little one. Have you seen Conflagration friend ?"

Conflagration giggled incongruously given the bulk of his tank alt mode.

Break Room

"All righty" Searchlight said to Powerflash "Anything is better than sitting down." He got up, stretched a bit and walked towards the main gate. Little did he realize the prisoner he is welcoming is his old team-mate and friend Bumblebee...

Bumblebee transformed once he entered the gates. "Hello, Searchlight. Just take me to my cell and let's get this over with."

Solitary Confinement

"You talk big, I'll give you that," Wildrider said gleefully to Conflagration. "But it's all talk. If you're such a big mech, how did you end up in a cell?"

Downshift shook his head in disgust at Searchlight's suggestion as the Throttlebot left the room. He wanted to kill the Decepticons for the sake of public safety, not for the fun of it. He scowled, then turned back to Powerflash. "The forensic teams have just finished going over Misfire's old cell and declared it clean. We can put him in there, at least for now."

"We've got all the paperwork right here," Clampdown told Searchlight, transforming to robot mode as the smaller Autobot came out to meet them.

Searchlight's optic (visor actually... It's hard to describe...) widened slightly when he saw Bumblebee. He took the paperwork from Clampdown, but his attention was upon the Minibot, "What did they peg you for again this time?" Searchlight knew that Bumblebee often got into trouble with the Autobot leaders.

He is painfully aware of that. Once he had escaped with Bumblebee in a similar chase from his fellow Autobots. But this time... A prison... "The paperwork checks out. How disappointing." He said to the entire escort, "Come on in. I'll inform Powerflash about the new arrival."

With a rather heavy heart Searchlight led the way. He opened a comms to Powerflash, "We're set. You got a cell?"

(OOC: Who is Conflangration? Is he fanmade?)

Dead End said to Conflangration, "Aw, go burn yourself. We're all doomed anyway. But if you think of picking a fight with a Stunticon, you will take all five of us on." Dead End doesn't know why he bothers to say that. But deep down he is still a Stunticon, and he won't have others picking a fight with one of their own.

Conflagration rocked back and forth.

"I got caught , that's how come I'm here."

Conflagration moved towards the wall nearest Dead End.

"That's right little one maybe Conflagration can help you end it all stop all the pain and suffering. Would you like that? Would you like all the fears to go away to be at peace at last. Conflagration can help you with that."

Solitary Confinement

"If you're trying to make me think you're a big, tough mech, you're failing miserably," Wildrider told Conflagration. "'I got caught', you say. Caught doing what, slag-eater? I'm in lockup because my team attacked an entire city, and I'm in solitary because they caught me in the middle of digging a guard's brain module out through his optic socket with a stylus. Don't think you can scare me."
