It could have been 50 minutes at one stage, but I had to take care of a few things first before I had the time to read the e-mail because it had been waiting for half and hour before I actually read it. But anyway, Soundwave! Woo Woo!

I am very happy to know that it's coming. I have a loose Soundwave that I paid a lot for (damn Ebay) but I will definitely pick up one, maybe two of the Soundwave reissue.

There was never a version with Headphones that worked. The Japanese release [as well as the Microman forerunners] had dummy headphones. Closest there's been is a big fat tapedeck modelled on Soundwave.

He he he, after all the speculation on the other posts (in toys)
Now we know

I hope they start to reissue the Cassettes as well, that would be awsome:D

Well, to me inclusion of Buzzsaw over a "name" cassette such as Ravage, Rumble or Laserbeak suggests they will... maybe in PVC-style packaging or something? I can't see a Dreamwave-style "boxed set" for some reason, but then never say never :)

Looks like they repaired the moulds enough to be used. This news made my week. Now the question becomes, "What will the premium be?" A Soundblaster with only 1 tape slot?

Seems odd that they're releasing him alone, too. Wonder if #11 will be released at the same time or later? Either way, this is great news. :)

Maybe they'll do them like they are with the micromaster reissues and PVC with chases and stuff, that would be interesting. Perhaps even those rare Japanese tapes

I wonder if they'd only include the decepticon tapes or perhaps go with the Autobot ones as well

As for Buzzsaw - I thought Takara is going for authenticity, so they would reissue him with Buzzsaw - that's what he came with originally

BTW - Going back to previous threads. Anyone know weather it's the Soundwave or SoundBlaster mould that's being used

My bets are we'll also see a soundblaster repaint as a preimium

It'll be the Soundwave mould, I expect... like you say correctly, Takara tend to go for authenticity :) That said, Takara's original Soundwave came with Rumble - http://members.lycos.co.uk/tfdatabase/j ... .html#cass - Buzzsaw only came out in 1986 as part of the VSZ giftset - http://members.lycos.co.uk/tfdatabase/j ... ns.html#vs [damn, I've left some of those rollovers bloody huge :/] - I hope that isn't bad news about the Rumble/Frenzy mould :(

I reckon they'll just take longer to announce #12, which'll be relatively m'eh - something that's already been reissued or somesuch. They're not generally announced four months ahead, are they? So I reckon they're just letting us all know Soundwave is go early. He's also likely to be the biggest-selling "book" reissue so far, so if they have preorders they know how many to make :)

You thinking there's damage to the rumble\frenzy mold?

But in the rest of the world wasn't Soundwave released with Buzzsaw
And Takara has to know that most of the world is buying their reissues

I have no idea...

And Takara's reissues are still aimed at Japan primarily, hence the retention of Japanese text on the book boxes when they could go mult-lingual, and the use of Japanese names... I think the most likely reason is a planned release for the other tapes myself.

Now are you sure that it's Soundwave & Buzzsaw not Soundwave & Rumble cause the Japs do release Soundwave with Rumble you know & it could be possilble that he could be wrong.

How about having #11 as two or three cassettes in one package? That would be sweet....

I think Cliffy's idea of having them in the same style of release as the Micromasters\PVC's is great, even get some chases :D
