Why you shouldnt go see the new live action TF movie

Post by Claypool »

apparently, the rumor going around is that Soundwave will not be a Cassette Boombox, as todays kids have no idea what a casette even is.

No.

Soundwave will be a......you guessed it......

it could have been worse
they could have made him a discman
imagine cd's transforming in to rumble frenzy and laserbeak
sounds godawful
minidiscs however
soudnwave as a minidisc player sounds not bad

edit: I doubt they'd do Minidisc. Sony own the trademark, remember?

I wouldn't mind seeing that actually since Soundwave would have a new, more modern transformation. So since Soundwave is an MP3 player, I guess Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, and Buzzsaw would be those little cartridges you put into the MP3.

Btw, where did you hear about this?

Random Thought:

I wonder what Blaster would be if Soundwave is going to get a new form?

I guess you're right, Brend. I was just checking the rumors section of Seibertron (no, I'm not advertising...I think) and I didn't see anything about this subject.

Mmm... that was partly what I meant... I don't think Sony would be very keen on it... I can see them maybe licensing a design for Blaster, though.

speaking of sony and this is just the silly fan boy in me but personally i think it would be hmm amusing to see a transformer thats capable of transforming in to a psone (cal his alternate mode a mobile data centre)
not that sony would be interested in doing that

dont forget guys, the guy whose producin it said hes taking transformers back to the beginning in 1 of his first interviews, so i wouldnt be too worried about different forms just yet.. and i ask u this..

all this bs about megs not being a gun in it because of laws -

1, thats rubbish i mean come on how many movies nowadays feature guns
2, this stuff bout megs being a tank because he isnt allowed to be a gun...... WHAT wheres the logic in that! i mean a tank is far more harmful than a gun.

Well, if Hasbro want to sell a toy to go with the movie, it can't be a realistic gun. Maybe something like Shockwave...

But kids don't get shot by cops for playing with toy tanks that look real.

I dunno. I'm quite partial to the TM Megs/Predacon mold. I'd rate him a close second, tied with RID Galvatron and Armada Megs. Although, I like all four of those molds.

yes but do we know whether or not there are going to be toys for the movie? not yet.

i think its stupid the way a film like this should be affected just cos the american system on guns is completely f'ked up, hell if they do make toys they can make the gun bloody big, that way if police thought this huge pistol kids were holding was real theyd be bloody stupid.

Dunno 'bout you, but engaging people with guns is something I'd do from a considerable distance... as such, anything that's the right shape and colour isn't a bright idea...
