Monkeys that is all.
The bunnies, they give me knowledge it is neat.

If "recent" is Galaxy Force, i remember only 2 Supremes, that are Starscream and Primus - a two figure gifset will cost a mountain of €€€€ (Euro) - probably two lower ranked figure, packaged togheter

Off topic: Nevermore, Flamewars? what else?

You seriously think Nevermore doesn't recognise RiD Optimus and Magnus, and that that's the reason for the "huh?" ?

I'm more interested in the fact that cyber keys are mentioned on the box . . . wonder if they're remolded . . .

BTW, I'm slightly disappointed if this is really the "Supreme Giftset."

Quoth Nevermore:
Engledogg from the Allspark just discovered this:

http://www.action-hq.com/cgi-bin/action ... 00000.html

Larger pic:

Huh?

Let's see now...$100.00 for a set of two toys which would cost me far less than $100.00 on eBay in any of their previous versions, Cyber Keys notwithstanding (provided I shop around enough).
...They still have their RiD names. Granted, that's hardly as big an issue as the price, but, still, those who can afford these guys would probably prefer to skip these in favor of cheaper earlier versions.
...They don't appear to be remolded very much, though that could be because a finalized prototype was not available for the picture. A mere Cyber Key gimmick would not be enough (in my opinion, it would be wiser to take the same direction as the Galaxy Force two-packs - turn these guys into homages of G1/BW characters). Again, those who can afford these guys would probably prefer the cheaper versions.

Hasbro would have to be populated by complete idiots to issue this thing as is, and I don't believe Hasbro, in spite of all its faults, has a large population of complete idiots.

One thing strikes me as odd: the low quality picture, allowing a viewer to recognize the subject matter, but not see any picture manipulation. Granted, the picture was probably taken from promotional material like a catalog.

Keep in mind those are Action-HQ, whose prices are always jacked up a bit.

Someone took the scans from old boxes and placed them over the new one, revealing that they used the same pictures for the box art?

The image-pasting has been done by me, but what does this mean for the "packaging pic"?

Ah. It means one of three things in that case:

1. They're going to use the same box art
2. This is a mockup, so that they have an idea of what is being sold in the set, and the box art hasn't been determined yet
3. It's an elaborate hoax

Pretty much what I thought. Thanks for confirming that. I'll go for RID Scourge's #2, that it's a mock-up.
Be cute if Prime turned out to be something like the intended OTFCC Defensor remold.

I still think $100.00 is too much, even taking into account Action HQ's steep prices. These guys had better be good, and available at retail for a more reasonable price (like $40.00 at the worst).
