Power Core Combiners- First Image

Thanks to someone on a certain image board, the first look (via mock-up) at next year's line has been shown: Huffer with Targetmaster Caliburn.

Could be from the new cartoon rather than a Universe thing. Universe is usually a re-imaging of past concepts. "Power core combiner" is something new and they would probably want to give it new fiction.

Power Core Combiners were first hinted last month with a new trademark listing.

According to Walky, the alleged insider information in the following link from ATT (or "Google" or "Google Groups" for the younglings among you who have no idea what ATT is) comes from a notorious liar, so consider this link a "just so this doesn't get posted as a legitimate rumor" preemptive measure.

Yes, but they've said before that Universe will become a "Catch-All Line", and this is probably the "scout"-ish assortment.

EDIT: Wait, thinking back a bit: couldn't that Red-Car-That-May-Or-Not-Be-Drift and the "Mysterious Truck" (That is War For Cybertron Prime, for sure) be part of this Catch-All Line as well?

I like this Huffer.
I wonder if IDW will try and include this new concept in their G1 Ongoing, just like the bayformers look... funnily, the Sunstreaker/Hunter evolution was ahead of the time and all the efforts done to deny it now seems really counter-productive.

On second thought, Figueroa may have used bayformerized G1 characters because he already knew what this new toyline would look like.

Yes because smaller transforming companions wasn't done before Armada.

I see Mini-Con. I like Mini-Con. Still, four modes would at least give one or two that isn't 'robot bent over', yes?

I think (or guess) Chopster is the mini-con's name. He can transform into an axe, right? So, chop, chop, chop....

Oh, sorry: yes, Chopster is the Mini-Con's name. The Decepticon's name is unknown (but he is a COMMANDER of something).

Set of 3's name have been revealed. They are:

- Huffer and Caliburst
- Searchlight and Backwind
- Smolder and Chopster

So the fire truck is Smolder......
