Doug Dlin checked back with Ichikawa-san and came up with a lot of VERY useful answers. :)

Damn...there goes my chance to get a Wildrider...

Does that mean that Black Widow will be released in BT*? It does say separate line...

Here's to hoping they will eventually release Wild Laser or sth, I really want the full Stunticon set.
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

mm, that's the first time I hear about a name restriction from Takara
would there really be many people to mistaken the series Kamen Rider with 1 character (Wildrider)?
I still think that Black Widow doesnt fit this BT (Wild Lazer would be better, no?)

cool, a company that is worried about too much recolors and remolds :p

Well, kiss my grits! I owe somebody a quarter...

This does quell my thoughts that were stemming from the slower releases and cancellations, though. Handy!

- e-Hobby Gobots were not identified by name for copyright reasons (copyrights to the Gobots/Machine Robo characters still lie with Bandai)
- Binaltech Ravage (because of the car company "Jaguar")
- "Cybertron Perceptor" (reissue)
- Robot Masters Rijie (I could understand "Rigier" or "Lijier" being Engrish, but "Rijie" is so different from "Ligier" that I just can't see no legal issues involved here)

A few more responses from Ichikawa...

For those who cited his initial response as a "proof" that Honda had no hand in the decision to omit the barrel from the Hasbro version:
The "Honda" I mention in this explanation refers, of course, to Honda Japan. I cited this example because I'd seen posts making this kind of conjecture on some other message boards, so I quoted it as a reminder. Anyhow, what I wanted to say was "There was no sort of pressure for this."
