So Takara did pay attention when the Megs reissue was ripped from the retailers' hands. Majorly awesome.

Hopefully I will get a chance to get this for non-insane price. I wonder if xybertoys will carry this if BBTS won't?

EDIT: The coincidense...I received an e-mail from xybertoys telling it's up for pre-order. :D

Really hoping other reissues are going to be rereleased as well.

I paid quite a lot for my Takara Transformers Collection Megatron, though I purchased it from a person who had hoarded a lot of copies to sell at a later date (isn't it always the way?). It would be great if other re-releases were... well, re-released ('re-re-release'?!), prices for things like the minibots and that damned Astrotrain wouuld go down then.

I'd prefer a Masterpiece Megatron. I wouldn't even want it to transform, as we've got the gun from MP Convoy... just based off the animation (or comic, whichever) model and Teh Ultra Poseable.

I'd buy it. :(

I'd have the same, but with Galvatron.

I mean, Galvy hardly ever used his cannon mode anyway...though Galvy has none of that "OMG REALISTIC TOY GUNS!!!"-stigma on him.

a transforming masterpiece megs would be cool, i think. It could turn into a much larger walther and there by making it not real looking.

Which would supposedly not matter at all.

....Pray someone doesn't think bright green is a good colour to prove that it's not a real Walther. Or that someone doesn't think changing him to a tank is safer. In either case, it wouldn't be G1 Megs.

Which, as Nevermore alluded to, wouldn't matter as the "bright coloured guns" thinger doesn't apply in Japan.

I'd easily pass on him having an alt mode if it meant we got some form of poseability out of it. Fair trade-off in my eyes.

And for the USA, it doesn't matter if the weapon is oversized or not. "Realistic-looking" is "realistic-looking".

I certainly wouldn't see somebody touting a gun and think "oh, hang on... that's too large to be that specific model of firearm. Ah, it's a prop!" - I'd be too busy thinking "****! ****! ****!"

Wouldn't you be thinking "I Batman must take down this gun man in one on one, man to man, combat!" instead?

Don't you do that "Pretend to be a coward, run off and go get changed" thing then?

That's Clark Kent's thing - he's got the superspeed to be able to pull it off before anybody gets hurt. Plus he wears his costume under his regular clothes. You ever tried walking around in full bat body armour under a suit? I mean it's not like that big old mask just tucks away down the back of my collar...

I generally lean towards letting people get shot, and then exact shadowy vengeance once darkness has fallen and I've had the chance to get changed.

My hero.

How does Clark fit that cape under a suit anyway?

I never claimed to be a particularly good Batman...

Same way he removed those sellophaney things from his chest and appeared in multiple places at once in Superman II - he has the power to make up abilities as he goes along...

Perhaps you should try a less demanding hero, like the Phantom.
