Energon looks a lot better than Armada and seems to have lots of play value.

Battle Ravage, Starscream, Skyblast and Strongarm look particularly good. The first two even seem to have some War Within inspired design aspects.

Hopefully they won't be too large or too expensive. I don't really fancy the combiners, but they look as if they'd be fun if I were younger.

Something for most people in there, I reckon. :)

Double post, but very relevant. Zac has some info on what will probably be the Energon storyline:

I can't decide. I am impressed with the minis and supers. But I still dont like Power Ranger Prime. Though that Black Unicron looks killer.
The bunnies, they give me knowledge it is neat.

The only necessity for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Wish I knew the link, but I've seen pictures of Scorponok next to Armada Megs. He's a little taller than Megatron (not including Meg's shoulders, head-heights) so he's a good-sized toy.

Starscream's tight. I mean, WOW! The robot mode REALLY looks like his robot mode in Image's GI Joe Vs. Transformers series.

I knew that Scorponok-looking mofo couldn't be Megatron...

Looks like we won't be getting the Japanese paintjob of Tidal Wave, and that new Unicron looks like poop.

SON OF A BITCH!!!!

Starscream IS NOT an original mold - look at the arms and just back of the cockpit - now I know why he reminded me of G2\BW2 Starscream - same bloody mold - it's been retooled for sure, but it's the same bloody thing, that's why the guns stick out to the side like that  not to pleased on that part - so much for originality

I like the Energon Saber though :D

This combining thing is going to be..... wierd

and I though the Autobots were going to be out numbered

And oh look, unicron repainted - so soon :(

Whoa, you're right!

Damn that was the only figure I was impressed with til now...

I felt this same way about Armada when it came out, ("This toyline is gonna suck!") because the first set of figures did suck but later figures weren't so bad. I hope that will be the case with Energon because right now I'm not buying any of the **** that I'm seeing...

I know, annoying hun? I knew he reminded me of that fig, but could never place my finger on why. The top link (provided by Savannahtron) - scroll down almost to the bottom and they have some close ups, the back and jet modes really show the original mode. Still it looks decent, but I was hopeing he'd be slightly bigger (not the biggest jet in the world). It was one of the few looks I really liked.
As their aren't any dramatic changes to the mold size and shape (it's mostly surface stuff) I wonder if downt he line we'll see a G2Megs\BWII BB mold redo? I hope not, but........

as for the rest of the line - I'll wait until I see them up close to get them or not.

PS - God Ginrai - that link is off - 404 file not found.

... mebe it's a sign.. with landcross returning.. the duocon concept of combining, but still being individual bots on their own... NOT TO MENTION it being reversible with either being the dominant personality...

and the link's fixed. it's..frightening

Cool thanks for fixing the link or what ever you did

now to just open it and look................. :wtf:

Ummmm................:wtf:

Looking one more time ................ :wtf:

Yeap, that's galvatron :wall: I wonder who did that design. And that's from the DW mini comic with the catalouge? Or is it from the regular comic? I wonder what he Transforms into and all that stuff. But I fear he won't look that good in real life

As soon as I saw it, I figured it'd be a retool, so I'm not disappointed. I think they really improved the mold. Although, yeah, I think it'd be nice if they had made him bigger. From the pics, I'll get Battle Ravage, Starscream, maybe Grape-flavored Unicron, Hot Shot (if he's the same one from Armada), and Megs (if he really looks so Galvatrony. Maybe I'll get two, so I can display one with the original series, seeing as I don't have Galvatron).

WHy sit around a knock figures that aren't even in hand yet? I will reserve my judgements until the figures are out in stores and on the sshelves. SO far Starscream looks promising even if he maybe a G2 mold his head his new and that figure rocks anyway. Battle Ravage may also prove promising however the translucent plastic is a bit tired. Scorponok resembles the G1 but not nearly living up to his former glory. I'll wait and see what I find out in stores and make my decisions then. Until then make mine Alternators!
