Selling comics

Post by Adams »

Please lock this topic if its off limits.

But I am thinking of selling my comic collection, its mostly marvel stuff.

I have no idea about the best way to sell them, and what they are worth.

I have about 2000 comics i think, to ebay them all seems daunting!

Has anyone here had any experience in selling on their comic collections? Could do with some advice to help shift mine!

ebay UK sucks for selling comics, I'm afraid. Unless you have something very rare and very desirable it won't fetch a fraction of its value, and to be honest that'll be outweighed by the tons of auctions you'll probably have going unsold :( Even stuff like the X-Men and Spider-Man doesn't go well. I'd advise against listing it as a bulk collection, as anyone interested enough to shell out on 2000 comics would have most of them anyway.

If you have anything really dsireable, your best bet is eBay USA, but that can reek or hassle, specially if you don't have Paypal or the time to sort out so much by email.

Collection selling to, say, a comic shop, won't bring in a lot of monkey either I'm afraid, as they'll buy low so they can turn a profit, and also to balance out anything they might have a dozen copies of.
