Question about Generation 2

Was this a toy only line? I cannot find any video's or DVD's of the cartoons from this era?

G2 had a comic line that ran for 12 issues. There was a TV series, but it was just re-runs of G1.

Was the Transformers in the comic like the toy line on Gen 2..i.e. Megatron as a tank or was he in gun form?

He was a tank and the comic was based off of the G2 toyline while also relating to the G1 comic.

The actual count of G2 toys featured is something like a dozen... let's ee off the top of my head:

Optimus [both the '92 release, and the Combat Hero], Megatron [the '93 release], Sideswipe, Starscream, Jazz, Inferno [one can assume], Dreadwing, Volt, Jolt, Sizzle, Electro, Leadfoot, Manta Ray, Ransack, other Rotorguy who's name I can never be arsed to member.

Some like Jazz and Starscream were basically void as the only changes didn't really translate to the comic well [they rarely bothered with Starscream's camo, or the notes on Jazz when he did appear].

All is subject to me bothering to check.
