Cliffy, better not look at this: Pat Lee's Optimus Prime gets a toy...

Post by Nevermore »

Once again by the Japanese TF Image Board:

http://tfarchive.com/hosted/files/20041 ... igures.jpg

This appears to be some new action figure line, similar to the Mega SCFs. The bad thing is, Convoy/Optimus Prime is clearly based on Pat Lee's rendition of the character...

The other ones depicted are Superlink Grand Convoy and Megatron, still unpainted.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

What's wrong with that? (aside from being un-transformable)

Because Pat's rendition tends to look like it was blown up with a bike pump off-panel.

Oh...okay. <shrugs> I think they look fine.

The toy looks pretty sweet though, at least, don't you think?

Why can't I see what fort_max quoted in Brimstone's post, but only see Brimstone quoting me?

Edit: Shows up when I try to quote him. Weird.

Can't they understand we want War Within. Or atleast G1 Galvatron from Armada.

I think it's allright, I prefer Meg's and Grand Cconvoy more though.

It was in the Worlds Collide story arc from Dreamwave. Some transformers from G1 were thrown into the mix. Thunderwing, Bludgeon and Galvatron being a few.

Gotta love those Tits of Doom.

Or alternately pray that Pat stays bored of G1 until it's cancelled.

So I guess the DW comics are going over well in Japan.

He still looks like a pooltoy.

Now that we can see how grotesque it tends to look in 3-D...

Eh, not my cup. MP Prime does me all right.

And on the heels of Galaxy Force (at least in the order I saw it in) I can wave my fingers at it and walk another direction.

Aside from Prime's windows being a bit too small for my taste, I actually like the Prime and Megs figures. I think I just might get them. It's certainly a more dramatic style but it doesn't look God-awful to me.
