Explain this to me...

hey! just joined this mb!

Wery well, enugh of that...

I was just visiting http://www.seibertron.com and read a little about the transformers.....
how many transformers tvseries is there... theres apparently an amercan versian and an japanese version?

whats the difference?

Basically there were 3 full american transformer series's which were pretty much also shown in Japan as well.

Come the 4th series a major dirvange occured. The American 4th series called 'Rebirth' and introduced the Headmasters was 3 episodes long before finishing the american series.
In Japan they had another full (26 ep's-I think) series called 'Headmasters' which introduced the headmasters also but was quite different story lines and aviously went on for longer.
Following Headmasters came other Japanese only series Masterforce, victory and finally the 1 episode of 'Zone'.

Another eariler diverange was that instread of the movie (which came years later in Japan) they made a 1 episodes movie called 'Scremble city) which tried to bridge the gap between season 2 and 3 which the movie occured inbetween and made drastic changes.

In america (and europe) nothing was produced post Rebirth at all untill Beastwars.

Woah there! That's one heck of a name, didn't realise that we were just so short on tf related names yet <checks members list> - you know - you could've been Optimus's Other Testicle?

Anyways, here's a quick answer to your question:

Transformers (American)

Series 1 - 3 and then 3 episodes of series 4. And the Movie

Transformers (Japanese)

No series 4, instead they get:

Headmasters
Masterforce
Victory
Zone (1 episode)

Beast Wars (American)

Series 1-3

Beast Machines (Japanese)

Series 1-2

Beast Wars II (Japanese)

Beast Wars Neo (Japanese)

Robotis In Disguise/Car Robots (American and Japanese)

Armada (American - coming soon)
