Exigeyser, Back Gild, First Gunner - officially romanized names!

Discovered by princej3.

GC-19 is "Exigeyser", not "Exgazer", "Exkaiser" or something else.
GC-20 we saw in packaging before, and his name is indeed "Back Gild".
GC-21 is "First Gunner", not "Fast Gunner".

Why didn't I see that ad before?

I like Exkaiser better, but why did they take my buetiful Cybertron Hotshot to a goddamned APMother****ingC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wall:

But i like the other two names and it's nice that Backguid has more guns.

Well most likley as that he is the same character and hasbro will probally give him a name like energon hotshot (the silver 1) or mabe or...who knows?

I wonder if he will be Deluxe or Voyager Class anyone Know

Exigeyser retails at 2,000 Yen, which makes him a Deluxe.

Well, traditionally, new molds (and remolds) get new names, like Smokescreen-->Hoist and Inferno-->Roadblock, so I hope they give them different names, since "Vanguard Hotshot" sounds nice, but "Vanguard Red Alert" is kinda long.

yes but that were different characters, for example:
hot shot became powerlinx hot shot, same character.
as for the remold with hoist, that had a different story (smokescreen being rebuilt into a different character) and these three are the same characters, therefore, i think they will have the same name.

p.s. Nevermore, i clicked but didn't read.
but why are they changing in size, first gunner gets bigger, coll.
back gild gets bigger, cool. why doesn't exigayzer grow?
btw, a deluxe swat-type van just isn't as good as mega one.

Nope same character with a different body. For a while, they still called him Smokescreen in the show. They only changed his name after Hotshot took over.

Thats cool ThX Nevermore, but why is an apc deluxe those things are like 15-20ft long. Back guild is a voyager thats nice he's my computer wallpaper a thats good that he's that size with his force chip having the missle launchers basically swing out with 3 .50 caliber guns pop out. I like first gunner as well since even if i didn't i like him better than him former self but i can't see him as a medic. Anyone jnow his force chip gimmick???

yeah, but in every line there is a new, different OP but they aren't changing his name.

No **** sherlock they would never change his name because of the resemblence like energon to armada no way in hell they would say OP was a differnt character when they have the same face and voice actor. Same thing w/ Jetfire and Hotshot but they sound different so there are always flaws.

Smokescreen [the name], while used in multiple toylines, doesn't carry the same 'legend' Optimus Prime does.

Armada Smokescreen [or rather, Micron Legend Grapple] was the same guy after the reformatting. Heck, they even say that his spark was ok but his body was damaged, so they switched it. What's so difficult to understand in that?

Most of the name changes tfs get after changing are hasbro's attempts to keep the trademarks for those names. Examples? In japan they never got a galvatron [after the movie] until Superlink [japanese energon series]. In armada, after changing colour, Megatron changed his name to Megatron S [super?].

Starscream changed into Starscream S, Grapple to Grapple S mode etc etc. Hasbro switched the names for toys [and for the show] so that they'd keep the trademarks.

Furthermore, Optimus Prime has the same name only in the american series.

Starting with RID, that one was called Fire Convoy. Armada, Convoy. Energon, Grand Convoy and now in galaxy force, Galaxy Convoy.

Different series. No need to differentiate between molds, as you can just say G1 Optimus, RID Optimus, etc.
