Ever wonder...
Sometimes when I'm lurking around the tf community, and even this board I start to wonder what these people are like offline. What their day is filled with and what type of people they are. If I think long enough I find myself horrified at the posibilities and nolonger desiring it. Sometimes I wonder if certain posters even do go offline and/or outside. I find myself concerned by their lack of social skills and extremely sedetary lifestyle. I question if Hasblow even cares about their transformer/G.I.Joe/MLP/Jem communties. It is quiet depressing to me, seriously...
Has anyone else ever wondered what other posters lives are like? Who these people really are offline?

I'm pretty sure you're like Anna Nicole Smith without the class and style.

ANS is basically just a larger version of Jessica Simpson. So I guess it doesn't have to be taken as an complete insult. ANS, JS, Pamela, and Paris, not much difference between all of them,. They have the same basic look, tall, thin, curvy, tan, blonde, all pop icons, with loads of money, glamours lives, tabloids favorites, and real "it" girls.

Seriously though, this isn't a thread meant to bash anyone else. I just wonder about the lives of other posters (from all over the Hasblow community) and pondered whether anyone else did the same. Or even had some stories to share with the rest of us.

I wonder if some of these people talk like they type.
Good question.
Personally, I once talked to this kid online for months, very intellectual though a bit obnoxious. When I was at Botcon in '02 he came over to me and stood there stairing, so I greeted him (said Hi), but kept stuttering out his own name. He couldn't form a sentence at all, it was so weird. His friend walked over and we wound up talking to eachother and the other guy just stood there dazed. So so so strange.
Online Sam was very eloquent and confident offline he was beyond "duh..."
I had forgotten about that, blocked it out, until now.

LOL!!!
I had a similar story, only from the Star Wars boards.
Talked to a person for a while, met them at CIII...
Discovered it was a 17 year old boy who just kept staring at, um...not my face....
Uber-creepy......

Anyone else see a problem with that statement? That woman is skin and bones blah.
Anyway, I'm pretty much like my online persona. I talk in pretty much the same manner (Minus the spelling mistakes......). I do go out into the real world and have social interactions with people (besides my wife and the dumb arsed cat.....). I mean, this monday, Amarant (should) be coming over to watch Ultimate Fighter (The wife has to work, she's very pissed off .... ).
I am scared of some people I talk to online, Esp TF fans. I look at them (esp on some other boards) and go "Do you have any sort of life?" - and, after going to my first convention in Toronto - the answer is no, god those people were scary! Of course, at the same time, they probably thought of me as an aloof snob - but ah well - I did interact with some of them. The not too terribly geeky ones.......
Well, just about everyone I've met has been about exactly the same in real life as they are on the 'net...
...except Flec, that guy's just creepy!
Even Red was just like he is online.
There are a few whom I'd guess are just a little less... extreme than they tend to be here. Say Ghostal for instance, I'd guess he's probably a lot less self-abrorbed in person than his reputation would indicate. Or that Myles is generally a pleasant person to be around. Maybe Cliffy is less likely to go off on idiots in real life.
I know that I'm much more shy than would be indicated here. However give me an hour to get confortable and I'll talk your ear off depending on the subject. I love to disagree, so I've been told by my closest friends. I choose my words carefully often times. If I don't have anything to say on a subject I won't speak at all.
There's a good chance that Cliffy is as passionate about a good comic book story and/or character as he seems to be here. Or that Denyer is really that opinionated and intelligent. That Luke really is the nerd we know him to be.

I think most people have the same personality up here but their voice would throw me off if I meet them in person. When I read posts, everyone has a set voice in my head. I pretty sure these voices are know where near to the real thing. Most would assume that I got whinny little noob voice, but in reality I sound like a white Chef.
