In order to avoid any claims to the contrary:
NO, he's not a remold of Side Swipe, although they share a similar look in vehicle mode, and they both appear to be convertibles.
And NO, he's no repaint/remold of Tracks either, although the transformation scheme is similar.

As for the head sculpt, I have no idea so far... Blaster, maybe?

The whole transformation into robot mode screams Mach Alert/Rid Prowl. They might name him Prowl just to go with that, but who knows.

Overdrive, being that it was also thrown around when Jazz was in discussion, might be a strong possibility.

Now, watch them name it Windbreaker.

theres alot of speculation on the 2005 boards about him being blaster, but if thats true then that means that could re-use it for Soundwave, which i think would be intersting, and arent both blaster and soundwave mainstream enough that hasbro can use the names (if they still have the rights?)

not bad. head does'nt look right but from the looks of it i cant see a resemblance with blaster. maybe another decep. breakdown maybe ???

Not bad looking, not my fav, but never the less I'll be getting him. Looks a like a definte cross between tracks and sideswipe/deadend. Wonder what color he will be...or if the red i salready letting us know. Gun looks very cool how it incorporates the transmission, very creative...a little big, but very creative. From the pic of the removable hard top, its safe to say that we finally have an alternator that is going to have extra pieces laying around in robot mode. would be very cool is top could somehow be folded down and concealed like a hard top convertable (eg chevy ssr, which by the way would make for a rocking Kupp).

I hope he's mistransformed like the earlier pics of Grimlock. I'm not feeling his feet and legs at all. Grimlock took me a while to like but it was seeing pics of his legs and feet proerly transformed that won me over.

I thought we'd be seeing some van prototypes by now!

it definately cannot be trailbreaker. Trailbreaker is a 4 wheel drive(SUV) not a convetrable.

Actually, Trailbreaker's body got stolen by Swindle (just like Sunstreaker's body got stolen by Dead End).
