Manglors and Manglord Mountain

Post by Ackula »

Ok, so who else had the Manglor toys from the early 80's? I simply loved these toys and their uncanny ability to tear apart and just stick right back together. I have some very fond memories of the Manglord Mountain play set too...I remember it as a birthday present and submerging the little green guy in a mountain of volcanic slime was just the way to spend an afternoon!

I've been on the lookout for some of these for years now, and even managed to win a MIB Manglord Mountain set on eBay about a year ago...only for the seller to turn out a scam artist and I never received the item :(

I'm hoping to obtain some of these some day to have for my nostalgic collection, but I worry that they would no longer be very "playable" anymore at their age. I somehow doubt they would still stick together, and I believe they had a tendancy to break down and crack after some time..which may be why I have yet to really see any for sale anywhere loose.

At any rate, just wondering who else had these or were fond of them?
