Dream Match

Post by MaximusPrime »

Okay guys. Regardless of rank and affiliation, power and size, which two transformers would you like to see fight eachother. Give 2 transformers, regardless of which side they are on, give some stats, such as what each bot brings to the table, and give your opinion as to who would win and why.

:D C'mon, it'll be fun.

Thunderwing vs. Grimlock: There should have been a decent fight during the Matrix Quest.

I agree with the Rodimus vs. Galvatron fight for the same reason.

Hound vs. Trailbreaker!

Umm, seriously?

Megatron vs. Starscream, just to set the record straight.

You know and I know that Hound would get his fender kicked in. It would be a no-contest. Hound would hide in the corner whimpering while Trailbreaker stomped him into the ground. ;)

A triple-threat match with Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Perceptor would be fun to watch.

Ironhide vs. Kup would also be fun.

Rumble vs. Frenzy in a color (or colour) decision match. :p

Laserbeak vs. Buzzsaw

They tried that. Thunderwing threw Big Grim around like a rag-doll.

And that's more or less how it should be. As cool as he may be as a character, Pre-Nucleon Grimlock isn't up to the same level as the main leaders. Shockwave and Megatron both managed to defeat the entire Dinobot team 1 on 5, remember. As leader of all the Decepticons on Cybertron during a time when Decepticon power was at an apex, it would only make sense that Thunderwing would similarly be incredibly powerful.

AM Grimlock vs. Bludgeon would have been a good fight, though. Brute force against skill and guile.

Thunderwing was a bloody plank... He got owned by a dead Cassette. He was so bloody useless that when he got his hands on the Matrix he tried to use it as a gun.

I was referring to the Matrix Quest fight. Not the best showing for ol' Grim, but that's the closest to a decent fight he'd be able to give.

He wasn't beaten by a dead cassette. He was beaten by Nightbeat's head.

And the Matrix makes a perfectly good gun, from all appearences. I'm not sure why, but it does.

Anyway, Thunderwing's bouts of stupidity only underlines my point; for him to get command, he'd have to be a physical powerhouse.

You want my ultimate match?

The Computron VS Devastator with Shockwave as thier gun.

I think it'd be a good fight, Devastator with all that raw power, Shockwave as the brains.

While Computron is all brains.

They both have Shockwave as their gun? Is he on a table in the middle, or do they swap him at half-time, or what?

To quote J.R., "That's a slobberknocker!"

Let's make it interesting. No guns, no Matrix. Just a straight up scrap between the two of them. Stick 'em in a cage, throw in a little C4 and barbed wire. Hot diggity damn!

Prime has experience and intelligence. Grimlock has power and his jaws could snap Prime's leg like a candy cane. An interesting match indeed. Budwieser would jump on this in an instant.

Then you're both wrong.

Hound
St In Sp En Ra Co Fi Sk
5 8 5 7 6 10 3 9

Trailbreaker
St In Sp En Ra Co Fi Sk
7 6 4 10 7 9 3 7

So, Hound is smarter, faster, braver and more talented.

Trailbreaker's power is a forcefield that drains his power rapidly. So Hound only has to evade an attack using holographic projections until Trailbreaker is too weak to continue...

So, got any other weak ass arguments you want to make on the subject?

Since when were the stats ever consistent? I believe this has been pointed out several times by other posters on this board. For instance, Starscream is supposed to be the fastest Seeker, yet either Skywarp or Thundercracker has a higher speed stat than he does. As far as I'm concerned, the stats are pretty much bunk since they're never followed to the number.

In the TV show, Hound got his fender kicked by Rumble and Laserbeak. If I remember correctly, it was only one shot from LB that nailed Hound and he went sailing off a cliff. Trailbreaker was in a similar situation with I believe two Seekers who are both notably stronger than Laserbeak, yet TB didn't fall off a cliff.

In the comic, Hound also got his fender kicked by Rumble who's supposed to have a strength rating of 3, (if I remember correctly. Damn tfu.info bandwidth problems.) which is also notably lower than Hound's strength rating, yet Hound was sent sailing by the little guy through water which is fairly viscous and about 100 feet into the air. At least when TB got hurt it was always by a seeker, except for that one incident when Autobot City was taken over by the Quintesson invasion force but in that case almost everyone was destroyed.

But if you want to play the stats game, alright. Trailbreaker may not be as smart as Hound but a rating of 6 is hardly stupid. Hound is a scout while Trailbreaker is a defensive strategist. Trailbreaker wouldn't go on the offensive, he'd let Hound do his little attacks of holograms and trickery while TB uses his incredibly high endurance and his defensive prowess to figure out Hound's offensive tactics. Hound can't keep up the holograms forever and sooner or later, it will come to fisticuffs and in that case, TB has the advantage with the larger amount of strength because if Hound can't dodge two huge piledrivers, what chance does he have against a fist and gunarm? Despite TB being slow. Trailbreaker wins in a long, drawn-out fight.
